It has its own screenshot manager, its own friends list. It has a ui overlay panel for quick access if you are in fullscreen mode. It has its own VOIP. It can use all these features with friends in non steam games if you configure the games for it. Bioware/EA wants you to use the Origin software for it so they have disabled intuitive use of steam. Steam has a larger user base so more people want to do this. If there was one universal game managaer with all these features that all games supported... I'd def be for that.

I've been dinking around with my dual monitors a bit and discovered that you can letterbox your gamscreen using some of the nvidia features. My question then is this. Who would consider this immersion breaking and who would consider this immersion persistent? I already keep subtitles off so the quest dialogue is just spoken. Its pretty movie style immersiive to me. What do others think?

It is equivalent to a free trial most MMOs offer. Instead of 7 day or 15 day they are just offering it for lvl 15.

No I Don't think the game is in trouble. At launch WoW was the crappiest, high latency, unfinished, unstable piece of work. How it survived its first 9 months is anyon'es guess. It surely did not have 1 mill subs at launch. If people would concentrate more on their own gameplay and less on the gameplay of other people in a completely different game then maybe they wouldn't panic needlessly.

My justification for 15$/mo is that I enjoy what the game has to offer.

Play City of Heroes since it went free to play. It has everything wrong with a free to play system that there can be.

I see these around the Works area a lot and this was a really nice screenie I just happened to run acros. It would make a really nice addiction to the existing speeders available: Balmorran Speeder

She is plain and simply annoying. Her yapping, her constant firing at everything but what you want her to fire on... gah.. The only good thing that comes out of her is laughing when i get the chance to shock her. I much prefer 2V-R8. Quiet and does the job.

Tactics are fine, Biochem is over rated. Vette is just annoying. Thx for your opinion though.

Simply put it is the best companion. They don't pull aggro and has dedicated heals. I was getting frustrated on Bilunar with the aggro competition of her story companion, Vette I think. Outfitting him with lvl equvalent prototype droid parts he is amazing. I am having so much more fun playing her now. Just my 2:sy_auction:

I had an item I wanted to put onto a character. I removed the mods to see if the item level changed, which it didn't. Even though the mods said bind on equip and remained unbound the item resulted in a bind. Why? It makes no sense.

Credits arent the issue. I havent run across a low lvl crafted head item in any schematics. I like to have all my item slots filled

Empirial side on Dromund Kaas there is a Bounty Mission that's very simple and rewards a class specific head slot item. Is there an equivalent mission Republic side?

Let's not. WoW is a perfect example of why not.

If you go into "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings\GUIProfiles" and edit the xml file for the saved profile it saved a ton of time tweaking.

It's better than being the guy that comes onto a forum of a game they supposedly play and like only to bash it.
