  1. it's especially awesome if the person with 120 expertise in wearing actual DG armor too. those are the absolute best people to pick on in WZ. load up on your cooldowns and watch the big numbers fly, and try to get a record..
  2. this post made my eyes bleed while trying to read it. "rly" vs. "really" considering how much you rambled on, i "rly" don't think you needed to abbreviate that. -_- you comparing pvp people wearing pvp gear to raid, vs. pve people wearing pve gear to pvp, is really inconsequential to the discussion at hand, because it's not about gear. everyone knows getting gear (pvp or pve) in this game is super easy. my guild takes a noob through EC HM every week just to gear them up in full campaign gear so that we have more people we can use for TFB. PVP gear is even easier. you don't even have to win to get gear. a more fair comparison would be if someone good at pvp, was equipped with full DG gear, would they do better than a regular pve'er. to that, i would say, yes. pvp requires you to be much more of a resource hawk. you are a sitting duck if you have no force/energy/heat/whatever. you are much more in control of your cooldowns, vs. the typical pve players who just hit the button every 2-3 minutes. regarding "cheap"? that's not cheap, that's efficiency. raiding uses the same thing. you bypass mobs in raids that you don't have to fight, don't you? is that cheap?
  3. generally, a good pvp player can easily learn to be a good pve player IF he/she wanted to. generally, a good pve player has a harder time becoming good at pvp if he/she wanted to. pvp is unscripted, you have to use all your abilities (well, to be good you do), you have to have great situational awareness, you have to have great knowledge of the game - not just your own class, but every other class, and you have to have good reflex. ultimately, the better PLAYERS are the better players, regardless if they pve or pvp.
  4. 3,000,001.. >_> j/k. i have mine. didn't realize they were sought after.. kinda .. normal looking.
  5. when i first started getting serious about raiding (in wow), i made a healer (priest) because it felt like a good healer made a huge difference. this was back in Vanilla raiding MC, swapped from a rogue to a priest. healer does make a big difference, but then i realized that a better tank made an even bigger difference. a tank that can communicate cooldowns, anticipate damage, avoid damage, and more importantly, keep track of what your healers' cooldowns / resources are, is much more valuable, so i ended up tanking as a warrior later on. ultimately, it really doesn't matter if you're a healer or a tank, GOOD PLAYERS are always in demand.
  6. there's a lot of bro-sweat going on in this thread.
  7. what i gleam from this thread is that Bounty Hunters are *****, and don't wanna help anyone..
  8. but.. how can you deny such a lyrical genius?! one does not simply come up with quality verses such as: Gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal or Kickin’ in the front seat Sittin’ in the back seat Gotta make my mind up Which seat can I take? or the undeniable logic of: Tomorrow is Saturday And Sunday comes after...wards
  9. aww.. my 22 medal got bumped. here's a 23 medal one. it's got higher objective than icetea, does that count?.. http://www.ikonique.com/Images/23.jpg
  10. haha.. let me guess.. most damage taken?..
  11. same, it's never happened to us before, and repeatedly happened to us last night. i guess the question is, is it a bug, or an intended change. it certainly doesn't seem to be just a luck thing.
  12. we already voided out the yellow during the first deletion protocol.
  13. Anyone else experiencing this? we've had it repeatedly, so i'm thinking it's not a one time glitch. My tank is yellow color for Op IX fight, and we get 2 deletion protocols. the first deletion protocol calls for : OP IX has marked [me] for yellow deletion. me and the yellow-dps cleanse each other the next deletion calls "OP IX has marked [me] for yellow deletion" considering we just cleared the yellow in one pass, it is literally impossible for us to resolve this due to: 1. we have already used both yellow 2. i can't cleanse myself another great patch?
  14. oh please, like there's any mystery there. he's like the village bicycle. >_> and youts these days.. it's "brown chicken brown cow"..
  15. just to clarify, we talking IRL, or in game..
  16. Belliggerent sounds like he's full of awesome based upon his youtube responses.. -_- what guild is this guy in? i'll make sure to go all "belliggerent" on them next time i see em..
  17. wait, what? so you're dead from 5k total dmg? .. O_o
  18. one aspect of the "numbers" part is very pertinent. with the influx of pvp n00bs in recruit gear, i see A LOT of 14-15k players. in a wz like CW, i regularly check the HP of the defenders. if i see 2 people guarding, and they only have 14-15k hp, i will attack 1:2 without hesitation - basically because I know I can blow one up without problem, while CC'ing the other one, and then taking that other one out, usually with enough time to cap before they can return. if nothing else, it usually also draws the entire team back to that node, making it an easy cap somewhere else.
  19. rolling greed is for guildies and friends. if i was in a pug of any sort, i would expect the pug to roll need on everything.
  20. i feel compelled to note that you're using the wrong version of "you're" in your sig.. also, fisticuffs duels were already a regular thing when we did pvp nights before. we limited it to legacy moves though..
  21. i only raid, and "back in the old days", you didn't get any daily comms from ops, only daily missions.
