  1. through feedback, the beginning mobs on makeb have had their levels reduced, and will be an easier transition for "normal" (not fully raid geared) lvl 50 players. current BiS DG gear is actually good all the way up to 55. I made it to 55 with only replacing a belt. At 54, some of the blue items started looking pretty good, but not quite good enough to break up the set bonus on the DG gear. correct - but one thing that isn't gear related, but directly related to the leveling experience, is the mob density on Makeb. I personally LOVED the planet, but there were several places where the number of mobs within a group become the challenge, rather than just your gear. I suspect people in lesser gear will have to be creative with CC and kiting..
  2. i prefer kiwis - because they get all angry everytime you call them an aussie..
  3. we don't want no criminals on our server.. >_>
  4. yeah, sorry, didn't catch that part - see my edited response. i won't sugar coat it - i found it to be tough on my Columi geared healer. actually, i take that back, it wasn't so much "tough" as it was "slow". i couldn't mow through them like my DG geared PT tank. best suggestion i can give to alt-aholics and new 50s, is to group up. it's the great equalizer..
  5. same boat, fresh 50 in leveling green would in theory, know to go to fleet to get their free tionese. Makeb will feel challenging, but not impossible. if you're in tionese, you should probably expect some deaths while leveling - however, just about every drop should be an upgrade. edit: oops, forgot that there won't be anymore tionese. it'll be a tough first few quests / areas, but you'll survive. it'll feel a bit tougher than corellia, as it should. and then you'll be ok once you start getting the drops and mission rewards.
  6. Tionese geared lvl 50 will have a TOUGH time on Makeb - you'll survive, but you'll have to be extra careful (mob density is pretty tight). The amount of time for you to kill each set of mobs will be a lot longer than someone in BiS 50, and you'll likely have to stop to heal up after every group. the saving grace is that classic comms (all current comms will be converted to these with 2.0) can be used to buy campaign level gear. You can trade unassembled tokens for 75-90 comms. if you're really undergeared, you may want to pre-plan a bit, and have a few unassembled columi tokens (easily obtained via storymode ops, or flashpoints) so that you'll have some campaign gear when 2.0 hits. the simpler solution, is to find a few friends and level together..
  7. i swear, you must not get any sleep with the amount of work you put into these guides.. my guildies and I thank you.
  8. natural lag hack dude.. don't dismiss the people teleporting across huttball..
  9. actually, from the looks of it, another plus we have, is that we don't have you?
  10. due to my overflowing ignore list, you will most likely actually make it through the filter. i should probably make room in my ignore list, by first un-ignoring all the people in my guild.
  11. repelling the man love would definitely be a problem for him.. hahaha
  12. where are you guys getting the IP address of the harbinger server? i don't think it was listed on BW's server status site? rather than the results of the ping, it would probably be more informative with a /tracert. if there's a distinguishable bad bounce somewhere, maybe something can actually be done. ^ over my crappy connection at work..
  13. he's slightly bigger now. hard to tell from the picture, but he's a mix between a great dane and a mastiff..
  14. oh man. I've been thinking about getting a bike again, and probably would have bought one in the next month - except i just dropped 3 grand on vet bill.. >_< me on the R1.. should not have sold the bike..
  15. Oh damn, the burn. Nu-kular.. I think i'll check myself into the burn ward now. -_-
  16. I will now melt all the women's (i think there's like 2 or 3 on the server, right?) hearts with a picture of me and my puppy..
  17. i had a moluccan cockatoo - it was hilarious (to me) when everyone else gets to share my bird's squawk..
  18. didn't we have one of these threads before? or was that nuked with server mergers? i think we left off with Meo going to make a lekku headpiece.
  19. I, for one, would like to extend my deepest thanks to Bioware for taking my suggestion to heart. There has been entirely too much chatting on fleet. Who wants to know what grumpy cat is doing? all that chatting is taking away from my immersion of running from my ship, through the dock, to the elevator, to interfleet transport, to another dock, to another elevator, to another deck. i welcome our new deaf and sign-language friendly SWTOR. /boogie
  20. kinda depends on your class and the role you're playing. as an offensive stealther, your operative + an assasin would probably do fine, since you're unlikely to be the target of focus fire. but if you're a dps / healer without stealth, wearing pve, you're going to get a nice big symbol on your head immediately, and it'll hurt, a lot..
