  1. ...or they were going after objectives that don't always reward you with high damage. Guarding a door that isn't being zerged in VS, a node in CW that is quiet at the moment - or it was a Huttball match where most of the other team was ranged with knockbacks? I've done 400K in a match we were going to lose - just picking targets and going ape, and I've done 120K damage because I spent half the match ping-ponging up and down catwalks trying to slow/stop the enemy BC. This game is strange in a way... you are more reliant on your team to be effective in a way that I didn't see in WoW. I could rove around a losing AB, for example and pick fights with stragglers if I so desired. That is rarely possible in these Warzones. If your team is undergeared or bad - your performace is most likely going to suffer a huge hit. I love it when players end up in a good team and start talking trash like it's them and them alone that is murdering that warzone. I've got a screenshot of my mara going 10-0 in a long drawn out civil war... less than 100K damage, lowest on my team.... Guess what? I also had 10 killing blows and 10 solo kills. I was guarding a node they kept sending one person at a time to try to take from me. I killed about 1 of each class and AC in that match 1v1.... but man, those stats kinda made me look foolish unless you noticed the 7800 or so objective points I had and happen to mouseover my kills...
  2. No, game is too easy. It has attracted the kind of lazy casual "I want to see and do everything! I paid!" crowd that makes my balls itch and who are fighting tooth and nail to keep the game some kind of lame noob nirvana.
  3. It's a bad habit - and the "S" key is a valuable keybind. Some classes have 30+ that are used on a constant basis in combat - Keeping "S" bound to a movement key just means that you have to use another <shift> or <ctrl> modifier for an ability - which is less desirable. However, if you click or don't use many keybinds then leaving "S" bound to movement is the least of your issues. ... and the argument isn't that you *can't* do it and in some cases get away with it - it's just not an optimal way of playing. You can click and never use a keybind, for example... it's just not the most optimal way of going about things.
  4. Hey, DUDE, you don't have to defend everything BW does. This is most likely a bug... it would be strange if this was intentional.
  5. ... In the future, instead of people telling bads to go play "Hello Kitty Island" people will say "go play ToR". Rofl This game is so easy it's a joke. I can't even fathom the level of "casual" that can't see this.
  6. How can you NOT be 50 or have several 50's at this point? What do you do? Play for 30 minutes every other day? I average about 2-3 hours a day and I have 2 50's at the moment. This entire "rushed to 50" argument is the epitome of silly at this point in the games release. Yes, 50 is boring. Max level is where the real meat of any MMO is supposed to be. Not the leveling - if you base the game on its leveling only then you are dooming the game to death after a defined time... which only depends on how many alts you are willing to roll. My biggest gripe about this game is that it is too EASY... but I guess all you soccer moms love that part.
  7. Because if server mergers are needed the game isn't doing as well as some of the rabid fans want to imagine - it puts a wrinkle in their dream that this is the "WoW" killer and detracts from their enjoyment of playing "the" MMO. ... in reality this game will never be the size or have the complexity of Warcraft, but it can still find it's niche as a super casual alternative - and merging servers when needed shouldn't have a negative impact on that. imo
  8. The rabid haters who spew ignorant lies irritate me.... ...but you Biodrones are 100X worse - you folks make my balls itch. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle of both points of view. Is the game growing exponentially? Of course not, anybody can see that folks are leaving in droves... however, I see brand new players filtering in to soften that exodus. Is the game going to die next month? Of course not, there are enough casuals who haven't even hit 50 yet or who have and simply started alts that will stay for quite a while.
  9. Game is self limited to about 110fps. You are not getting higher than this even if you were on a system from the future. Why are you telling such lies?
  10. I agree with you - and it's something I've said before. However, it's what many (too many) find attractive about this game. Even the keyboard turning clicking casuals feel like they are "productive" and because of the low skill cap required, poeple that normally get creamed feel that all of a sudden they found sudden "skill" in ToR... when actually it's that the game is frustratingly simple and doesn't reward twitch responses and intricate play.
  11. Once again, reading is a good thing... Mara = Sentinel I have a Mara... he's easy. Easier and far more powerful than the BH and Mara/Sent is supposed to be the "hardest" class to master.
  12. Try reading the OP again... BM (BattleMaster) BH.... now a Battlemaster Mara.... both faceroll. I'm not talking about leveling - who gives a hoot. I'm talking about PvP.
  13. I wish the BM system was the same... just wait until valor 60 before you start freaking over how the Champions bags work.
  14. You like lettuce sandwiches? huh?
  15. This game is too easy... My first 50 to BM was a BH Merc - and I did realize that the AC, even pyro was a bit too faceroll to really have a valid point of comparison. So... I leveled a Mara - the supposed epitome of "complex" in this game.... and it's even more faceroll (annihlation) than the BH . PvP in this game has all the complexity of a lettuce sandwich - and all the flavor too.
  16. I love PvE players who think that PvE content a drunk monkey smashing his keyboard can clear makes them special.
  17. and once again, you ijits come out of the woodwork. "Questing" should have given you 110+, it does even with a very mediocre card... but *you* somehow don't get max fps doing this but all of a sudden you get a 30fps bump in fleet? You get MORE fps in warzones than you do QUESTING? roflmao. It's people like you that give BW so much disinformation that they will never get around to actually fixing anything.
  18. You are a liar. Warzones and Ilum are not bottlenecked by the Video card. Any high end card is plently fast enough to run with max graphics settings. The slowdown in Ilum and Fleet with 250+ in a shard isn't caused by the video card. Besides, broski - your new ATI card is still slower than the GTX 580. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html I can get 110+ in fleet in several areas. However, as soon as I start moving around to where there are people clumped I can get drops below 45fps - everybody does. Me with dual 570's, my father with a 590, and my son with a 580. We all run i7 2600K's or higher and we are all in different states.
  19. Too much to hope, unfortunately. Too many bads from other games zipped over here when they found out they could hide their incompetencies in this star wars skinned Hello Kitty Island.... although to be fair, Hello Kitty Island has a combat log.
  20. These threads always devolve into this. I have a i7 2600K heavily OC'd, 2x GTX 570's and 16gb of RAM.... a 2 month old system. In Fleet, if there are 150 or fewer and they aren't all clustered next the PvP terminal (with me riding through the area) I can get 110 fps. If there are 250+ people in the shard this fluctuates between 20-110 depending on where I am and where everybody else is. In Ilum, if there are only a dozen or so people in the area 60+... when it's a double OPs vs another OPs group Ilum turns into a slideshow - it does for EVERYBODY. In a Warzone, 45-80 fps depending onthe Warzone and how badly people are clustered. My father on the same type of system, but with a GTX 590 sees the exact same variances in FPS. My son, with a better CPU and a GTX 580 sees the exact same thing. Turn off shadows? With systems as high end as these messing with the graphics settings does absolutely nothing - framerates don't change at all (they actually seem lower with low res textures). What I'm saying is that all of you *********** ******* that claim 110+ in fleet with heavy shards or 110+ in Ilum during heavy fighting are lying sons of *****es. I have no idea why it's so common for people to lie about their FPS in this game. I'll give you an example.... A friend of mine said he had no fps issues on a pretty mid level PC. I believed him, but last week when I went to get him before we went to the bar he was in the middle of a Warzone, the Pit... I asked him to turn on his FPS monitor and guess what.... 25fps.. He then admitted that he never really checked his FPS because it "seemed" smooth to him. After the match he was in fleet... 60+ fps... but guess what? He's repub and there were 10 people in his shard. roflmao. TLDR; Even though I *can* get 110 fps in fleet, it's not average and if the fleet is heavy (200+) framrates CAN and DO drop to as low as 20 in places. All of you claiming your ****** systems are getting constant 60+ in fleet in a heavy shard are lying little *****.
  21. You do know that "Hello Kitty Island" is a real game? You should check it out. http://www.hellokittyonline.com/
  22. That is the silliest bit of reasoning I have read in a long time. GOOD players use all tools at their disposal to be the best they can be. When addons and macros are implemented (they ARE coming) GOOD players will start using them as a matter of course. Can you be decent without them? Certainly, but a good player who uses them becomes even better. People need to use ALL tools that are available - including learning how to mouse turn and keybind.
  23. In WoW you can't macro two or more abilities that respect the GCD into a conditional chain. Macros are much much more limited in WoW, and although you can create "castsequence" macros they are silly and don't work well at all...
  24. All of you super kitty island casuals who think this game would be "easy mode" with addons and macro support are just reinforcing how BAD all of you are at this game... ToR, in it's current implementation, even without addons and macros is incredibly easy - TOO EASY. I have a BM geared toon, I've cleared all HM OPs, I'm in Full Rakata and I'm half way through Nightmare modes and I could care less about raiding... all I do is PvP. How can you possibly make this game any easier? Keep trying to protect your fake titles, your false reassurances that you are "good"... eventually we will have parsers/metrics and when that happens It's going to be interesting to see how many of you really know *** you are doing in a HM or OPs.
