  1. This 100%, well said. For me iit was the opposite, SWTOR made me enjoy WoW even more. I had quit WoW and went back to it because of this game and even got the annual pass, which says a lot imo. And the sad thing is, I was dearly looking for a game to kill WoW for me personally, and a poorly copied SWTOR just isn't it I do sometimes have fun with this game though on those days when WoW gets "bleh" for me. As for the OP, you're going to judge a whole game based on the first 10 levels of your "warewolf" (worgen?) hunter? Just an FYI, your big map in the game will tell you where to go to complete quests. If voice overs keep you playing an MMO, well, I have nothing to say really.
  2. Sorry, but I'm part of the "casual majority" and I'm not enjoying the game either right now, especially when it takes hours to find a group for a flashpoint. This game doesn't exactly cater to the casual crowd, either. As for the OP, I agree with most of what you said, except for the rated warzone bit. I wouldn't have a problem with rated warzones as long as it didn't give better gear than other forms of PvP. If it does, then forget it, I put it in the same bracket as arena, which means no go in this game please and thanks!
  3. Combat logs would be nice so that you can see what killed you if you're unsure. Many times when I was leveling I got hit pretty hard, but didn't get to see what hit me, and there's no combat log so scratch that. Also would be nice for PvP if you die fast to see what killed you so fast so you are better prepared in the future to deal with it/counter it. They are also good for many reasons, not just hardcore raiding, either. I think it is pretty fail that this game launched without one. I cannot see how this was done, gross incompetence or just the lack of resources? Who knows, but they need to add one, and ASAP, too. Oh, more UI customization and a LFG tool would be nice, too!
  4. Did people not bother to read his post? First of all, he said English isn't his first language, so why attack him on that? Secondly, he wasn't even bashing the game, in fact he said he still had many great times in the game and that he hopes to keep logging in in the future.
  5. I don't get why a cross server queue for PvP is acceptable but one for PvE isn't? So PvPers should get faster queues and the ability to do what they like but PvErs shouldn't? Okayyyyyy >.> Cross-realm PvP will only lead to cross-realm PvE, look at Rift and WoW! I wholeheartedly support a cross server LFG tool. I played on Republic (sawbones smug) on a "standard" server and it was nigh difficult to find groups, even as a healer! I mostly play during the daytime as well as I work evenings, which makes it even more difficult for me to find groups. I stopped playing the game and canceled my sub 3 weeks ago and it is due to expire on the 20th but news of -something-, even a same server LFG tool, would definitely help me resub to the game as I honestly feel like there isn't much to do at end game considering I've only done one heroic flashpoint at 50 and I've been 50 for about 3 weeks <.<
  6. What, exactly, does Blizzard need to strike back from? The release of SWTOR? Give me a break, this game has put a very tiny mole hole dent in WoW, nothing serious. As for the release of D3, would be nice if it were Feb 1 but I doubt that.
  7. You took the words out of my mouth, agreed 100% and that's why I am cancelling as well.
  8. This game has more than enough fanboys and biodrones for that to probably not happen.
  9. How, exactly, does a LFG tool hurt the community? I see people saying that often, sort of parroting it even, but I don't see any examples of how it hurts the "community". I'm starting to think this whole "community" concept is highly overrated, especially consider that "community" building tools, like server forums, are missing from this game.
  10. Lol, first of all, Warcraft realms is not known to be accurate. Secondly, even if they were, the 250k is AVERAGE users, while the SWTOR 350k is at PEAK hours, huge flipping difference there, buddy. As for the OP, all this is proof of is that drugs are bad for you, mmmmk?
  11. No one has called you a fanboy, have they? I don't think that everyone that likes or loves the game is a fanboy, not even the majority. What makes someone a fanboy, imo, is when they blindly turn their eyes away from the negative of something and rampantly attacks someone who points out flaws in the product, even if it was put constructively. There are too many of this type of person on these forums
  12. Is that why they had to make servers into trial servers and most of the servers show at "low" population, even at peak hours?
  13. Fanboys: Positive review = Right on Negative review = attack the source, company is failing to the point of being bought out, etc,.
  14. Such love for a game, yet you post, instead of play
  15. Oh wow, a Jan 2012er, you'd think how fast this game is growing according to the fanboys there'd be more of you. You're the first I've seen. As for this review, I remember last month gamepro or something like that came out with a negative review and all the biodrones came out and attacked the source, saying it was a failing company going down soon and stuff like that, but the moment someone comes out with a positive review they all of a sudden agree and the source is credible etc,. Funny stuff, I love these forums As for the review, I too thought this game was easily 9/10 at level 30, but my opinion drastically changed at endgame.
  16. They exploited, some even admitted to it, should Blizzard allow them to continue to exploit??
  17. I pretty much agree with your post, OP, except for the part where you claim shadows cannot put out good dps in PvP. Simply not true, I got 3 shot by one the other day, at 200 expertise. Low, I know, but he didn't have higher expertise than me. PvP in this game is a joke, especially once everyone gets respectable expertise. Everyone gets the damage reduction, but then again it's mitigated by the damage boost you also get. Just so stupid.
  18. They compromise accounts, steal the gold, and sell it to interested parties. That's how these so-called "gold farmers" do it. Gold farming hasn't really existed in WoW since TBC, when the jerks came up with compromising accounts instead.
  19. I know a casual player is someone who dedicates little time into a game maybe a couple of hours a day and a carebear is someone on a PvP server who doesn't like to kill the opposing faction. So a casual carebear is someone on a PvP server who doesn't kill the opposing faction AND only dedicates 2 hours a day to the game? Seriously, enlighten me.
  20. Proof that the vast majority of subs from Asia are gold farmers?
  21. Blizzard makes plenty of profit from them in the way of xpacs and micro transactions. That's more than enough. Also you're talking about the Chinese market, not the whole Asian market. Why would common knowledge make me angry? Egotistical much?
