  1. The engine is a joke. This game is hideous looking (imo). It just looks...awful for a modern MMO. Plus the insane amount of game-breaking bugs I've experienced since I started playing again a month ago. I'm only here on the forums tonight trying to find a solution to yet another bug I'm experiencing with a Makeb daily. If it wasn't for the actual content (which is good), and the Star Wars IP, I would be long, long gone. I see BioWare doing the same stuff that Blizz does. I don't understand why MMO developers don't seem to give a hoot about their product any longer. They just watch subs dwindle and do nothing about it. WHY?
  2. So, their instant heals when the target is under 30% is able to keep someone up under focus fire? Why do I NOT believe that? Also, Dodge lasts three seconds. If your team cannot co-ordinate CC to take down an op/scoundrel within that time, that's a L2P issue. Op/scoundrel healers are where healers should be. Yes, they are good. No, they are not "OP". Oh, and my main is a SORC, not an OP.
  3. It is slightly better. I honestly don't know how you can even run this game on either of them, since this game is CPU-bound. But yes, the D is slightly better.
  4. None of the above. You may want to upgrade your CPU to at least an i5. You may have to also change your mobo as well.
  5. It gets slightly better at 55. I don't buy though that an op can run around and heal themselves with 3 dps beating on them. Those 3 dps must really suck if they can't take down one op.
  6. Why? I'm having fun. I'm a MMO vet, not necessarily a Star Wars fanboy, although I do like Star Wars. It's not enough to keep me around, though, as I quit SWG after playing that for a few months. This game has improved drastically since launch. I wish PvP was better (I HATE arenas) but the PvE is good enough for now. The end-game is actually pretty decent this time around. Bottom line, WoW sucks now.
  7. Your "/Queue_White_Knights" comment was hardly constructive. Also, what's up with your sig?
  8. I've been stuck more times in the past week than I ever have in my whole time playing. Once on Hoth, twice on Oricon. It's getting ridiculous. And I wasn't exploring, either. Just using roads and bam, stuck.
  9. I'm tired of all the bugs I've been experiencing. I experience maybe 5-6 bugs every time I log on, and a couple of them tend to be gamebreaking. Getting stuck in random areas, stealth randomly breaking, spell CD being used but the spells are not casting, quest markers being inaccurate, not able to use healing spells on myself and companion health portrait not properly updating is what I experienced last night. I don't want free game time, I want this to be fixed or I am gone!
  10. Translation for the non-dudebro: women should just shut up, be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.
  11. Businesses, at least intelligent ones, will listen and take into consideration criticism of its product. But what you're saying is that the forums should only be used for positive feedback? How about no?
  12. "Girl gamer" is meant to describe a girl or a woman that plays video games. Am I missing something here? What else does it mean?
  13. Doesn't matter. You're still extremely biased. If you weren't, you wouldn't be making it an issue of "girl gamers", you'd make it an issue of individual personalities.
  14. The problem isn't with the "90%" of girl gamers, it's often that some guys cannot seem to control themselves when a girl is present. At best, they may develop a simple crush on her but otherwise leave her alone. At worst, they will think she "owes" them something (starts with s and is 3 letters) and that she only plays games to get the affections and attentions of the "superior" and "better at the game" male. Most women who play this game don't even make their gender known. I know, it's hard to imagine, right? But yeah, let's take your anecdotal evidence as proof that 90% of girl gamers are like that. I mean, it's not like you're biased or anything. Okay, you are. Your attitude is deeply rooted in sexist beliefs.
  15. You're my saviour, thank you, that worked!
  16. I got a new rig with Windows 8 preloaded so I downloaded the game and it worked. As you may know, Windows 8 doesn't have a start menu, and that's where I'm used to accessing my games. SWTOR did NOT put a shortcut on my desktop and I've been trying everything in the SWTOR folder to try and access the game with no luck. How do I access the game with no shortcut on the desktop? Thanks.
  17. I couldn't care less about damage meters, however I would REALLY like a roleplaying addon of some sort, or even a roleplaying feature in-game where one can fill out a roleplaying description. I don't see the harm of this for those of us on RP servers.
  18. MMO player rule of thumb: Those who are not as good as me are noobs Those who are better than me have no life Yep, sounds like you here!
  19. I was getting double xp since yesterday for a few levels but it seems to have stopped on my sorc, where I am now only getting normal xp. Do you use up the double xp after a certain level? Thanks.
  20. Well, it had nothing to do with keychains, but the rabid elitism that came with it. Putting down people who didn't have the CE was quite commonplace. I don't remember all the insults but it could get quite rancid at times. If you agree with that sort of behaviour, that's on YOU, not on me.
  21. Who needs 10 specs with the skill trees as limited as they already are? Completely redundant. I think 2-3 is fine. It allows heals and tanks to actually do competitive dps sometimes. I don't understand why this game doesn't have one, when most AAA MMO's do. All this stuff about SWTOR being a WoW clone reminded me of how the Sith Warrior skills were almost identical to WoW's warrior and the Sith Sorcerer's skills were almost identical to WoW's elemental shaman Ah, the good ol' days!
  22. Heh, do any of you veterans remember in July 2011 through shortly after launch how many of those who had purchased the CE were doing this "CE VIP (keychain)" rubbish and lording their purchase over everyone, and even putting down those of us who didn't purchase it? I remember some of them even saying that those who had purchased the CE should have more early access than those who owned the DDE/SE versions of the game, even if the DDE/SE owner had pre-ordered months before the CE owner had. I'm glad that is mostly gone. Now, please don't bring that sort of sickening elitism back, thinking that you're entitled to more early access of RotHC than those whom it was promised to. I do agree that the CE vendor needs to be updated, but that's it. P.S Some of you were using "payed" in your posts in the thread here. It's not payed, it is PAID! And if you say, "I could care less," keep it mind it is "I couldn't care less."
  23. I lol'd. Also, Horde are not the bad guys in WoW, anymore than the Alliance are the good guys. Both sides have their upsides and downfalls, and both sides have done things that can easily be constructed as good, and evil.
  24. I just hope to God that they don't make reputation gains like they do in WoW where the only way to get them is through daily quests. Heck, that even works better in WoW because WoW has varying daily quests everyday, unlike here where they are the same every day. Various ways to be gaining reputation would be awesome for me!
  25. Depends on your budget. You can easily build a computer to run this game on max settings for $600.
