  1. You've shown a level 18 world boss from TOR, an encounter from an unreleased GW2 demo designed to impress people (i.e. a "marketing video") and one of the final bosses in top tier raiding from the current expansion of WoW... and we're supposed to draw conclusions from this? You're delusional.
  2. The gear you're getting from zone commendations isn't top tier, it's gear designed to help you progress. The greens you making from crafting can be reverse engineered to learn better schematics, so again, crafting quality is a result of the time and effort you put in, with a little luck on the side. The true top tier stuff comes from more than just 14 commendations and reverse engineering a green, however
  3. You're struggling because you're trying to compare to another game. That makes no sense. Your abilities get more expensive (and consistently so), mounts get progressively more expensive, repair bills and so on. "A lot" of credits is a meaningless value right now. If you're not making enough to play then you have too little, that's how it works... in life and in games.
  4. 30k isn't a lot of credits at 50, though. Given the costs of abilities even at level 40, speeder training, etc, you need to reassess your idea of how much is "a lot". 30k isn't a lot, so really your thread is "i'm not making enough in-game money to play it fully".
  5. Aye, he's great... i'd use him too, if, well, he'd just shut up.
  6. I've seen other pieces of social gear in-game that is considerably cheaper with the same mod slots. Not only that, but the costs of these items are so high that no one starting the game can buy them. So we have a situation whereby the items are too expensive to buy until mid-levels, only one choice on offer, not all companions are catered for in the appearance items and an end-game speeder. Paying for these in game, not a problem. But at least make it comparable to other social pieces, or accessible from the start... and choice is needed. One piece that stylistically only really fits one class is poor. It's social gear; stats have nothing to do with it because they don't come with stats.
  7. You can play an MMO as a solitary experience if you wish. It's still an MMO at it's heart.
  8. Yup, impressive launch. I'm sat in a queue, but i'd sooner have queues now than ghost towns later. The game has been solid, enjoyable and really very polished for a launching MMO.
  9. To echo this. The game is excellent. I loved it in Beta, I loved it in EA, loving it live. The CE in-game store is a disappointment. I'm not expecting the world, but a single social set is under-welming. Those people who bought the CE specifically for the in-game store must be extremely disappointed. That said, they did say it would be maintained and new items released, so let's hope they're committed to that.
  10. Not bugged. It's social gear; you're not going to get great SW gear from a vanity store.
  11. lol hi Dec 2011. When did you pre-order, when did you enter your code? Be honest.
  12. I believe so but only if it's a DDE, otherwise you have to wait for your physical box to arrive (CE, Standard).
  13. lol. That is all. Wait until you see them ingame, with stats. Then you'll know.
  14. There's a couple of cool pieces in the vendor, including a speeder bike (expensive). But as mentioned about; the security is worth it with or without the perks.
  15. Android platform fragmentation at it's finest
  16. The Fatman is specifically for players who wish to use Body Type 4.
  17. Yes you can; go to "My Account", there's a page for entering product codes.
  18. I've noticed improvements too; in fact my FPS is consistently around 25% higher than Beta.
  19. trolol. Today is the 15th, i.e. the very first day anyone previously expected to be playing the game. By your numbers ~60% of players in before the expected EGA start date is a job well done. So far, and you'll disagree simply because people pre-ordered later and aren't yet playing, this has been the smoothest MMO ramp up i've ever been part of.
  20. To be fair, for a long time in beta there was a bug that made the "high" texture settings display textures that were lower quality than "medium" settings; this is well documented. So when people posted "I have everything on high and the textures are poor" they were right, but then it was beta. I've noticed the graphics are better in the retail build; that'll be the bug fix, sure, but they are better for me. I'm also happy with the graphics; I don't need BF3 or Skyrim levels in an MMO. Being happy with the graphics doesn't make me a fanboi.
  21. I like the graphics. I have a VERY meaty, fast and powerful computer so i've turned every single option on the high, and it looks really nice. I get the occasional low quality texture, but i've never stopped and considered the graphics as "bad". To each their own I guess. Graphics don't make the game, ultimately, so i'm content looking past the occasional flaw.
