  1. Bioware, wth? You broke it. Im sure this topic has been said before but.... WHY THE HELL would i waste my time in a match where im getting steamrolled by a premade and cant get a single friggen medal after 5 minutes? Stuff that i have better things to do than get nothing because i couldnt get 3 medals. Also, people who leave like myself, when we didnt leave we get dumped into ending matches from leavers and dont have the time to get 3 medals. You made staying pointless and made it worse. The developers said that the #1 thing requested is PVP that works yet you broke it more.
  2. From: The Jekk'Jekk Tar To: Master Dar'Nala 1) Gumbicus 2) Gumbycus
  3. Been 50 and pvping for a long time so basically here it is (At least on Jekk Jekk) Republic premades consist mostly of Troopers. Troopers used to tear through a geared tank pretty quickly for 1 reason. That is the heat buff that BH's have as well, the full stack thingo. You get 3 troopers stacking that, its 15 stacks. Something we tested in PVE a while ago, now it may have changed but the more BH mercs in my group stacking that buff, the more damage went out. The only reason why Empire don't do this is because sorcs have cool animation. The reason why you do so much damage pre-50 is because there is no expertise. Im in full champ gear rocking 12% damage reduction + any benefits i get from tanking. You also need to remember how much damage you do, will depend on who you target. You will do far more damage to a sorcerer than to a juggernaut.
  4. If your point goes off the colour of the item, your blue items are better than purple in terms of making money. Look at it this way, some hits level 50, talks to their guild about gear first thing they get told is dont worry about buying mods/armouring/enhancements, just go do Belsavis & Illum daily's because the rewards are better than what any of these crafts can make to sell to others. However because im not biochem, if i want to be as effective as i possibly can be in a raid i need to buy your blue stims that last for 2 hours through death. So my question is, why all the complaining biochems? You had an OP profession, which when most people swapped to biochem was so OP that your re-useable medpacs have already been nerfed once, and BW feel the need to nerf them again and for good reason. The point of re-useable in my mind and in many other peoples is so that you don't have to spend money buying more, as a biochem this frees up your mats to make saleable medpacs & stims which i have to buy. However as an artificer i have nothing worth selling even after going to the effort of reversing them up to epic status, why? Dailys, anyone can do them, anyone can get them. I was also a cybertech for a while but they nerfed what i thought were underpowered grenades (5 minute shared CD - gg, either reduce the CD or remove the shared CD), when i made mods or armouring, it took me over a week to sell ONE, i may as well drop the profession and just scavenge and sell the mats. Now everyones going synthweaving and telling me to go synth for the rakata gear, guess what? Thats either going to be nerfed cos all the jumpship people who jumped to biochem are now going to go synth, or Artifice is going to get a buff and ill have it ready to go. Biochem is the only profession you can make money out of, end of story. Anyone who argues against this either isn't level 50 or hasn't been 50 for long enough to realise this. Credits are worthless because there are no money sinks, why? Unless you are biochem all your stuff is useless, and there is no market in buying anything. Right now the market can be compared to an imaginary economy where everyones rich and doesn't need to buy anything therefore all worth goes out the window and everyone gets fired because their jobs are no longer needed. You hit 50, you have 0 credits from training, 2 weeks later you have so many credits you don't know what to do with them cos the only things to buy are VIP wristband (who cares?) and expensive speeders requiring social X (who cares?). So no, Biochem does not need to stop being nerfed, its being equalised because you can still make money, now all of us other crafters need to wait for the equalisation to our professions. If you skipped to the end please read the whole post carefully i believe it is worth reading.
  5. You rolled biochem after realising the other professions mostly suck didn't you like a good 80% of biochem s out there right? and now you're qqing cos you couldnt see the nerf coming? also to all other professions you gota huge buff coming, like me, the artificer
  6. while writing this post: The boss in Battle for Illum was untauntable EXCEPT for when he was supposed to be untauntable, as in i could still taunt when Cover was down, hed still hit everyone else, cover goes up he hits me. My UI still becomes unclickable or able to be used with keyboard although you claimed to fix that around 1.1 forcing me to reload the UI mid combat. Guard, which worked in PVE prior to 1.1, no longer works - were there notes on this change? it works in PVP. - edit, guard still does threat reduction in pve just not damage. My ticket and the ticket of other guildys in the 8man EV raid submitted on 25/01/2012 for the loot on the known bug that happens on the 3rd boss in EV, when the southern tower is finished before the north, the chest bugs and items become unlootable is still open.
  7. This 2 hour hotfix has caused more bugs than its worth taking the 2minutes to log back in for crashing maybe once per day. Im guessing this will mean a 3rd DT later this week to hotfix the hotfix to fix the patch that fixed the patch to fix release. Bioware you're rapidly approaching CCP's reputation for bad patches that need constant fixing. I used to be on your side with all these patches, saying hey, its a new game, it takes time, its gotta teethe. But now, we're almost up to 3 months old, and yes new content is nice. But id much rather you fix most the bugs first, and not the ones nobody cares about like "Players can now use emotes while in a taxi" we spend maybe 2% of our game time in a taxi. These constant downtimes and bug infested patches are beginning to wear my enjoyment for this game down. BW you've made a good game, but if this keeps up you're going to start losing subs rapidly. At this point i honestly feel that you're testing all of your patches and fixes half-assedly. If you fixing the majority of the large problems means you have to delay Legacy or new instances etc. i for one am happy to wait, even though this may mean ill wind up with nothing to do eventually, id rather play the game without the hassle of wondering what is working. If people disagree they're more than welcome to their opinion, but at the moment i might start writing down all the hours lost to downtimes that are outside of "Standard maintenance / patch night" And while yes your T&C says that you can take the servers down at any time without notice, so can all your subscribers in 3 months when GW comes out if you haven't fixed your issues by then.
  8. Id like you to roll a trooper and put up a vid of this please or someone else. You're either lagged or its changed since i played BH in the beta i remember going up then damage starting. But this was beta so if you can prove it by all means put this up here, a vid of your mortar thingo too for comparison would also be nice
  9. A way to fix this would be to nerf how big the dailys are, they take forever to do and myself and many others cbf'd trying to get 30 kills because well, im melee i get credit for about 3 kills before i die and by the time i stroll over its finished, and whichever side lost doesn't come back for more. And thats when there is pvp happening there, when i checked it, it was empty most of the time. Although i am an Aussie, its one of our unofficial servers, theres just not enough motivation to be out on Illum for republic until some numbers balancing starts to happen. Or nerf the huge daily that takes hours to do and in some cases i can earn a bag through WZ's in less time than it takes to do the daily.
  10. No, they aren't, we just have sorcs go get it and use force sprint, consullars have this too send one of them out. Also the reason why we get back so fast is because when you have left or right base you can just catch a speeder to the foot of the base, the left or the right one correspondingly. And this isn't favoritism because the few republics who know how to play do this right back to us. Just like how last night in huttball there was actually a good republic team (wow, shock horror, more than 1 in a week) they cc'd us stunned us etc. they won 6:1, the only time we scored was when i stealthed and ninja'd the ball right after they double scored. Yeah... factions are real imbalanced. Go learn your classes, the only thing i've seen so far that has any viable outcry is the travel distance between sorcs and consullars but more data is needed to verify that they don't get some other bonus that sorcs don't get.
  11. The pubs i play against & the ones i play with on my alt seem to be of the "special" nature that don't target healers, do the objectives or anything of any real use. The most challenging matches i have are against other empire who do the objectives.
  12. I heard your AOE heal was better 2 pages on. You still do the same damage and when you have expertise 1.7 seconds isn't that long unless there's 4 guys hitting you. Also you're pointing out 1 class. How about i fraps 20seconds of a match with 7 troopers in it and everyone's dieing in the time it takes for your thing to cast and im a bloody tank. You know what broken? Tanks in pvp, we lose 50% of our mitigation because yellow skills don't proc shields or defence chance. Quit bugging the dev's so they can fix real issues like how a scoundrel can run the huttball just as well as me by popping the same trinket giving him an equal amount of mitigation as i have and it looked like we we're both in T2 gear. This threat is about intention FACTION imbalancing, not sorcs vs consullars and in the thread title it says "imho" == in my honest opinion. This threads point was void the moment an opinion went into the title. I can guarantee you theres some crap like that which the imperials have to deal with just with a different class. Unfortunately because of people like the OP everything's going to be nerfed and then we'll all be rolling Death Knights and Paladins because some people whined for long enough so that's all thats going to be useful in pvp. What we need is combat logs, they were there in the beta then people can provide real evidence. Not just in cast or travel time but damage, and accurate evidence of say, 50 casts so that things can be said like "oh, consullars takes longer to get there, but it does more damage, or it makes them even slower" (i do not know if this is actually true just using it to make a point) You could have made a better example by doing just that, casting 50 times then writing down the figures for each cast.
  13. Look i don't know about other servers but i've rolled an alt and played pvp on republic on the server called "The Jekk'jekk tar". Sorry there is no faction imbalance. The dev's can't patch fail. There is no upload to your brain. Pubs, focus on the bloody objective those matches were more frustrating than any Imperial pug i was ever in. In huttball a whopping 2 people including me focused on the ball. Play the game properly gear up learn your skills, learn how to manipulate resolve so it takes longer to top up and you'll be fine. Pubs (republic), Don't forget that all classes are mirrored so all your whining is going to get your own side mirrored. example 1: We whine about troopers, turns out a skill that BH have which increases damage stacks together, in pvp theres at least 3 troopers per match guess whats happening? 3 stacks of damage increase == nuke. example 2: pubs while about OP sorcs, there are few consullars in pvp but sorcs lay up a bunch of DOT's then do lightning, only reason why you dont see your benefit from it is because you don't have many consullars and most are healing. example 3: fail. It exists on both sides, think about what you're doing and if someones doing something wrong let them know. Don't be an ******e about it although you'll get called one anyway. They wont learn if you don't tell them. The only real imbalance there is, is on Illum, most the time we vastly outnumber you and the dev's did nothing to balance this out when it was released.
  14. Like many MMO players ive played a variety of MMO's for years. While i understand new MMO's require a teething stage, usually 3 months for initial bugs, another year for balancing, your planning of Illum seemed half assed. In my job, while not nearly to the same degree as yours when i deploy a new server or group of workstations i don't just cost the server, or just the workstations, i look at the amount of people using it, who will use it, the cost of having them. The point of this and to add in a very easy example, is it feels like you did no even look at what other games which had the same kind of setup. For example WoW, i can't stand the game anymore, im sick of it. But they knew that on each server the amount of players for each side in an open pvp zone would vary dramatically, so on the areas like that one in wrath of the Lich King with the vehicles and stuff, they added a buff to all players in the zone which increased as they were more and more outnumbered. Now SWTOR isn't the finely greased engine WoW is and no MMO ever is on launch like i said it takes time. But at least Blizzard more deeply than what terrain the zone has in it and i hope to prevent this issue in the future that your teams will do the same.
  15. Really? REALLY? near a complete champion set and its all from bags, im not even valour 50, just do your dailys and you'll be fine. Buy the bags as well.
