  1. Is there something else we can do that will get the developers attention, other than posting in this thread? Does anybody have an email address for Damion Schubert, or does he respond to PMs? I think if we ever want to get the hood toggle implemented, we need to make a bit more noise about it and get in the developers' faces so it gets noticed. Filling up a thread hidden away in the JK forum obviously isn't working, since we don't get any responses from the devs. I know they do know about it, but it's obviously not a very high priority for them. We need to let them know that it is important to the community.
  2. I unsubbed halfway through the year because of this issue. I had slowly been playing through my JK's story, waiting for a hood toggle, but after getting nothing after so many months, and so much other useless and unwanted content was produced instead, I just unsubbed and figured I'd come back if/when it was fixed and finish the story and check out endgame stuff. I've been checking the forums every month or so for updates on this, and I checked in again once the game became F2P. I subbed again for one month to claim my cartel coins (the fact you have to do that was a pretty dirty bait-and-switch tactic IMO), and lo and behold, still no hood toggle. One or two items you have to pay real money for really don't count - to suggest this is a solution is insulting. We were promised a fix, and yet they continued to use hood down models in marketing materials while losing subscribers over the issue. With this, and the current state of the F2P model, it seems to me like Bioware are making one bad decision after another and are not really listening to their ever decreasing number of fans. Oh, and I see the companion weapon bug is still not fixed. That says a lot.
  3. Oh sure, I agree. I wasn't saying that BioWare don't know about this, I was saying that the only way we can convince them to make changing it a priority is to get up in their faces about it. If enough people bombard their Twitter accounts and PM inboxes, and any other ways that we can contact them directly, they will realise that this is something that the community cares about. Simply ************ about it in this one thread doesn't seem to be getting anybody's attention.
  4. I posted this in the Hood thread, I think it's relevant here as well: While I still think it's a good idea to keep this thread at the top of the room, I don't think it is going to get BioWare's attention, it's a big forum and this is tucked away in the corner. And it's already one of the biggest threads in the JK section anyway. Right now I think the best thing we can do is to continually contact as many staff members as possible via Twitter and PM and refer them to this thread. Find whoever you can who works at BioWare Austin, the more senior the better, and also make sure to contact the community managers. Even get in touch with the Doctors - Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk. If enough people make enough noise, eventually they will realise that this is an important issue to us and fix it, or at the very least acknowledge and respond to us. Another thing we can do is start as many threads about it as possible in General Discussion, and any other areas that the staff frequent the most. They'll probably just get closed or moved, but at least somebody will be looking at them.

  6. I know this is being worked on now (and I hope it turns up soon!), but can you shed a bit of light on why Jedi Knight's hoods were permanently stuck in the up position when the game released, when they are down in nearly all the promotional material, and on most NPCs? Was this some kind of bug or technical limitation? Was it always intended?
  7. Original server: The Swiftsure Destination server: Master Dar'Nala Character name: Jaren Specific issue: transfer form is not showing any characters, button is greyed out.
  8. Stephen, for those of us who have created characters on our destination servers to reserve names, what is the best way to proceed? Should we just delete those placeholder characters just before the 24th and hope nobody else starts a new character with that name before our character is transferred, or will there be an opportunity to delete the placeholder character once the transfer is complete, before we have to rename the transferred character? I guess a more specific question I could ask is, when there is a name conflict and we get a chance to rename our character, does that occur on the character select screen (therefore not giving us a chance to delete another character first), or when you try to select that character?
  9. I think the point of the queues are to encourage new players to join other servers in order to spread the load out across as many servers as possible, and then after launch the servers with higher traffic will have their capacities increased to minimize queues. I would imagine this will happen in the first week or so after launch. It's just a shame that for now this screws over players who already have characters on the full servers.
  10. Solution: Use right click camera control instead of left click.
  11. Unofficial PVP Oceanic server is The Swiftsure. More info here: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/swtor It's got ridiculous queues at the moment so you may want to stay where you are, but when the queues die down it's sure to be a good community.
