  1. If you can't tell a difference between 30ms and a 150ms in PvP, that's you then. I can tell the difference it makes when a shadow or scoundrel vanishes and how quick my stealth scan activates after hitting it. Several guildmates and I could easily, as the server would spike to 200ms quite often for all of us. You chose to play on a east coast server, that's you. We chose west coast for the better performance and with the recent transfers, we are forced to play in either a ghost town or a something laggy.
  2. It has nothing to do with ISP, I was on Ajunta Pall and averaged 37ms. I'm running a 20m down, 5 up with comcast and I'm average 140ms with 200k spikes on Jung Ma. You're suggesting I go to 50m down just to play this game? That a bad joke? All it has to do with server location, all us west coast players got screwed by Biowares poor planning.
  3. You're right there, but it'd be nice if they allowed us to transfer to a west coast PvP server. I have no care for RP, only reason why I rolled on the server was because it was high population, even faction balance and on the west coast. I'm glad that everyone else is happy that they're on high population servers and the game is enjoyable, but I have to say in this case, Bioware really dropped the ball.
  4. Exactly, the only reason why I rolled on Ajunta Pall four months ago was because the faction balance was dead even, moreover the population was high. Now I'm given the choice of playing on a dead server or playing on something where the latency is so high it's frustrating. Now it really makes me wonder what is Bioware thinking? Self sabotage ftw?
  5. Ajunta Pall was a moderately populated server that normal fleet population peek would vary between 50-100. Today the transfers opened up, allowing Ajunta Pall players, a west coast server head to Jung Ma, an east coast server. The 170+ fleet population is great and all, but not when my ping is ranging from 150-200 at best. If I had stayed, I would've been on a server that has become a ghost town, so either way I'm screwed, and I'm not the only player that is frusterated by this. I very much enjoy the game, despite all the speed bumps bioware has encountered, but this was one decision that left me scratching my head, what were you guys thinking? I know the paid transfers will be out soon, but in all honesty it didn't have to come down to that.
  6. Telling me that explosive round is useful at 50, yes that's trolling. At level 12, you're given bolster which will increase your DR to somewhere 45-50%. And your base damage quite a bit to make up for the lack of talents, so yes running around in a warzone you can do quite a bit of damage playing team deathmatch in huttball or voidstar. I can use my own personal expierence and tell how my railshots have even been deflected by a sorc. Or when a tankassin uses force shrould I can't do anything to them, let alone saber ward and deflection negating my damage completely. Or firing off a railshot at a sniper and seeing "cover" pop up. All it is, is hearsay.
  7. Saying things that aren't true and blowing things out of context are trolling. I wasn't the only one that called you out on it. Yes, a level 12 vanguard is very easy to play, with that whole set of skills at your disposal.
  8. Never said they were OP, in fact Sage healing is going to be boosted according to developers. You make it seem that I can simply roll in and just blow everything up in a matter of seconds without any subject to game mechanics. Cause ranged weapon damage isn't subject to shields, defense, accuracy and cover, right? Moreover you make yourself seem so helpless on your gunslinger, which I find quite amusing. Pretty pathetic that you'll go as low as to report a post simply because your basis of having a level 12 vanguard and doing damage makes you the expert on pyro pvp.
  9. Uh yes many do for the root and mezz. All you lose is force surge and revification.
  10. We were talking about a sorc pillar humping and utilizing this CC. You don't understand a RANGED class can't shoot through a pillar?
  11. Yes, because I can get out of the overload root, shield break mezz and all other forms of CC. Obviously you don't understand what you call "basic game mechanics".
  12. Right, with that explosive round/missile blast spam right? Most Sorcs will force slow, then force speed around the pillar and pillar hump. Also with the sorc healer hybrid build, between the mezz from shield break, overload root which give very little resolve, they're almost impossible to kill.
  13. Dodge, given to you at level 24. Diversion, 9 seconds of -45% reduced target accuracy if youre sharpshooter. If you're dirty fighting, or whatever the lethality equivalent is, it should be even easier for you. We have a sniper on my server by the name of Dreyson that always matches my damage as pyro. Your cover negates a portion of railshot if not competley at times, and your 20 seconds of CC immunity prevents us from a CC gib, which you have on a 60 second cooldown.
  14. Saberward, Rebuke/Cloak of pain, Pacify/obfuscate, force shroud, deflection, dodge, want me to continue? No tank jugg, sentinel, tankassin or even a well played operative should lose to a pyro.
  15. Calling you a troll for posting false information is harassment? Hah! It's not worth the damage at all, and that shows your lack of knowledge on the class.
  16. Yes, that high impact bolt with no armor pen hits so hard doesn't it? Keep trolling. Bringing up missile blast/explosive round as one of your skills in your rotation also proved you have no clue about the class. I removed that off my hot bar at level ten and anyone who uses it at 50, well that's sad.
  17. That's nice, I can cause 300k damage on my level 11 marauder as well. Bolster is great isn't it? The base damage and almost 50 percent damage reduction it gives you at that level is amazing. Everyone who complains about the class is horribly misinformed and posting false information. Most of it is gidoru and his personal vendetta towards the class.
  18. Absolutely amazing to see the same group of 5 people who post consistently complaining about a class. Moreover the false claims everywhere. Rapid shots and thermal detonator ignoring armor, haha that's rich.
  19. Play what you enjoy. Each spec has it's own merit, though I feel that AP needs a little bit more love. It gives you a speed buff and movement impairment freedom for 8 seconds every thirty seconds. The damage is steady, in WH your flameburst will crit for 2k easily and immolate for far more. Pyro allows for high crit damage via TD and RS. Problem is that out of the three specs, you are the most kiteable and squishy. Energy shield is your only saving grace and you lack the movement freedom of AP or the leap of shield tech. Tanking is fun, youll be taunting dps and gaurding healers, don't expect to kill much though I've seen shield tech Vanguard on my server do a lot of damage. Try it out, find out what suits you for PvP. Writhen, Ajunta Pall
  20. Never said it was a disadvantage, people were stating that I could refresh ion accelerator at a 30m range.
  21. Highest damage I've ever pulled was in void star and it was 670k. I've seen Marauders and sentinels do the same. Lets nerf everything right?
  22. I don't know if this is trolling or people are absolutley that clueless. Railshot is weapon damage, subject to defense, shield and accuracy rating. Against a Jugg, tank assassin or even a Sentinel when he pops saber ward, my damage gets completely negated. Even snipers under cover will sometimes negate the damage completely from a railshot. For me to refresh my Railshot, I need to be within 10m of the target via flame burst and rocket punch. So the arguement that I can simply blow you up from a distance is invalid. People complaining about the dot refresh about flame burst and its damage, flame burst/ion pulse hits for at 50 and in full WH around 950-1k damage, crit for 1.5k. Anyone who dies to flameburst spam needs to stop pvping, because you are doing something quite wrong. Energy shield is on a 2 minute cooldown, reduces damage by 25 percent. There is a talent that lowers the CD everytime you get attacked, but the drop is marginal. That's all the defensive capability we have. Kolto overload is a ~2kish heal over ten seconds. Yes we wear heavy armor and with full WH I have 31 percent flat damage reduction. An operative in my guild has 29.51 percent. So that is really a tiny difference for an entire level of armor difference. We are one of the most squishy classes in the game. And going back to reading other peoples posts, they are very ill informed about the class. Saying stick grenade/explosive dart can be used in tandem with thermal detenator/plastique, that's funny. Having flame burst be channeled, that was amusing as well.
  23. The damage I can put out as assault far exceeds than the ironfist spec. We both that. So if you last a second or two more, what's the point of gimping your dps? As a tank I don't expect to top damage meters, but I feel like I should be able to take a beating. Pre 1.2 it felt right, I could still go down but not this easily. In the end this game is supposed to be about having fun and enjoying it, warzones honestly feel like a gibfest now. Oh well
