  1. First of all SWTOR is not competing the MMOs of 7 years ago. It is competing with the MMOs of today (primarily WoW and in the future, GW2 and Tera). The market and expectations for ALL games were very different 7 years ago. The gaming industry has matured and today we all expect a certain level of polish in released games. Any comparison of SWTOR's release and WoWs release is wrong. Second, many of the issues raised by people are actually very viable ussues and not unrealistic at all. From ability delay to lack of playable engame content and lack of serious PvP are all very important and viable issues. In other words, most players up to now have not complained about that little stuff at all. So your characterization of unrealistic expectations is wrong.
  2. I get the OPs pain. Its because dialogues are sooooo cliche. No real person would ever talk that way. No only I dont feel that my character is my avatar into the game, but with the things he says, I kinda of hate my character.
  3. Yeap. And thats why GW2 is a PvP game. One you max level there is no PvE to do in GW2. I think the concept of PvE the progression escapes some people. In PvE you NEED some sort of progression, or there is no point in doing it. Edit: Character progression does not HAVE to be done with levels. We could have an MMO that you become more powerful by frequently using your skills on harder and harder enemies. This way gear grind would potentially not be necessary, you would raid in order for the chance to fight harder enemies and increase the power of your skills. That is just one example of how MMOs could change character progression. The point is that you NEED some type of character progression to do PvE, otherwise its pointless.
  4. Answer: Any CPU ever made; running while in the Fleet looks like a flipbook. Edit: I am being serious.
  5. Yeah I know, I am not sure why Devs refuse to talk to the community. Being super hard to get a group together is a very serious issue in an MMO. How is this not top priority??
  6. No LFG tool. I feel like i am playing a single player game.
  7. I think you can be certain at this point that D3 will be a good game. It might or might not be a masterpiece, but the Diablo series has been AMAZING at worse and Blizzard would have to try really hard to mess it up. Also, up to now at least, Blizzard has never released a game that really sucked or that was just average. If you are wondering why Blizzard is so successful, it is because even though they do mistake after mistake, they listen to their funbase and fix stuff. In all honestly, I dont believe Blizzard would EVER release a half-finished title like SWTOR.
  8. The game is still in Beta. They needed 6 more months to finish it but the holidays season was comming and they probably just said "let people pay for playing Beta, we will fix it later". That is all.
  9. A LFG tool should be priority number 1. The single player experience that is SWTOR is killing us.
  10. Start at 3:00. Dont bother watching before that. Overall a very very good review.
  11. Finally some feedback from Bioware. I think this is what most of us ever wanted, to see that things are being addressed and that our problems in the game are being heard.
  12. "Responsive and effective"? Not sure if you are serious....
  13. The problem with that idea, is that leaves people with nothing to do after a few weeks. duh
  14. I am sorry to say it but Bioware really needs to consolidate serves and raise what they consider to be a "standard" population server. Servers with "standard" populations are basically empty.
