  1. This was the last straw. My sub is un-ed. I won't be wasting money on BW products in the future.
  2. I know the feeling... Although I'd say it may need more than that, like scrubbing the whole thing, and starting over with a new engine.
  3. If your real life is more important than the game, why are you pissed that your real life interfered with the game? My sanity is more important than PvP, so I haven't been PvPing. This does not make it Bioware's job to give me loads of free gear. It just means I'll have to catch up if/when they fix PvP.
  4. I want credit for all the dailies I haven't wasted time doing since they started making it not worth my time to do it. Bioware should just GIVE me a pile of champ bags, since I would have finished those dailies if I didn't have better things to do, like getting a simultaneous root canal and colonoscopy. /sarcasm
  5. I do PvE too. Although I'm about to start making my buddy give me credits for repairs so I don't have to log in when I'm not doing an Op. I'm teetering. Any less fun and I'm gone.
  6. You're A: wrong, B: A fanboy, and C: either lying or incapable of telling what good performance looks like. Ilum is a slideshow in large encounters. I'm quite certain that given the vast numbers of people who've complained about it, covering the PC hardware demographics pretty thoroughly, that you're a trolling fanboy. I'm done with you. I suppose this is more plausible than his laptop being better than my desktop without weighing as much as a Buick, but I've seen similar complaints from people with a pretty impressive cross section of hardware.
  7. If you don't know what the 3dmark scores mean, and actually think this game has no engine trouble, you're a fanboy, or playing on the lowest pop server out there. This game has well-documented issues handling large battles. And until and unless you can give me a reason that my PC actually sucks, which it doesn't, judging by performance in roughly everything else, I'm going with the least common denominator, which is the ONE game that has performance that makes no sense. If I thought you had a clue, I'd provide hard evidence, but you're obviously more interested in talking trash than knowing what you're talking it about.
  8. You're playing games on a laptop. Engine has significant issues. My rig is from before Sandy Bridge, so it's actually a pretty high end one. But I'm sure you knew that too and have another witty rebuttal not grounded in facts?
  9. http://www.modsrigs.com/detail.aspx?BuildID=27646 My rig. Haven't had the money to upgrade lately, but the fact that Vsync is a bad idea in this game for that machine suggests engine issues, possibly complemented by you being utterly ignorant.
  10. I gave up on that place until Bioware licenses a game engine that actually works.
  11. You're wrong. The game was pretty clearly designed with the intent of doing whatever your toon can (legitimately within the engine) to win. Thus the little pep talk.
  12. HuK is dual citizenship American/Canadian, not even Korean by descent. He just trained in Korea at the OGS house while he was liquid, and then moved to EG, who, last time I checked, were also going to have him training in Korea.
  13. I've almost lost a WZ because of a Sage doing this before. He damaged himself down to about 2k health, got one shotted, and I basically had to work my *** off to keep the 2 Ops from taking the Turret until reinforcements from my premade showed up. Of course, if we could queue an 8 man premade, I wouldn't care what pug baddies do.
  14. Yes, I'm sure this has never happened to anyone on the Republic side... oh wait. Daily. Deal with it. Even happens within faction. Last night, one of our sages jumped off the ledge before Soa and pulled our scoundrel with him. Was hysterical.
  15. I'd think correct solution would be counter grief. If both teams are really against it like you say, just help the other team find him over and over. May or may not do anything, but it'd be some satisfaction.
  16. I'm using my Biochem Rakata OP FTW on my Guardian. But answering your actual question made more sense, even if all I did was add more variables to consider. But then, you can't answer a question well without defining it first, so I call that a start. I'd go with the shorter guaranteed stun. Not going to be as effective for stopping caps as the DoT, but if having a panic button isn't enough extra contribution on your part, your team was probably boned anyways. You could also consider the snare effect one though, for it's Huttball utility, since it doesn't get nerfed by resolve. Especially as an Imp, unless you're on a server that lucked out on faction balance.
  17. Premade is the counter to premade. That and practice and persistence, but you sound willing to do those two already. Just look for people who consistently seem to have a brain stem in PvP, and attach yourself to them. Join as a group, use vent, focus on working together to free up the rest of your team to at least have a numerical advantage in the process of failing. If you have a 4 man premade and 4 pugs, avoid the trap of your 4 sticking together like glue. Let the rest of the team scatter to the 4 winds, and then split up by pairs to support the rest.
  18. Probably a combination of playstyle, preference and spec, for the reasons you listed. Plus, some specs have "enough" CC or "too much", and some don't have a reliable DoT. Plus of course, PUG vs Premades will play a role in the decision, since with a PUG, you'd want the one that doesn't break on damage, and with a premade you might prefer the longer one that does. In other words, there's too much for anyone else to decide for you.
  19. No, it wouldn't. It would just increase the flaming in the threads.
  20. Oops. My bad. Maybe we should go with a simpler catch-all suggestion for BW to implement. 1:Remove all gear 2:Remove all other forms of progression 3:In case that wasn't clear enough, talents too 4:Remove consumables 5:Replace all abilities for all classes with one of two buttons. A HURT button on the GCD that does 1 damage. A HEAL button on the GCD that heals for 1 HP. 6:Remove all CDs 7:Make all range exactly identical 8:Give all players 10 HP. 9:Game is now 100% fair, with exactly 0 players.
  21. Funny, the setup on that is 2 skills before they use Smash/Sweep. Leap/Charge, Stasis/Choke (4s channel, too, stacking buff), and THEN they have the setup for the highest damage. Ignoring consumables, that's something like every 50ish seconds to use Choke/Stasis. Not even worth the effort if you play with a good team. I'll stay Defensive.
  22. So his made up story about every other game ever made having "fair" PvP 100% of the time, which I thought was a stand-up comedy routine, is somehow relevant? Interesting. As for holding off the start for 30 seconds, what do you do when 30 seconds later it's still short? Another 30 seconds? And after a while, the time spent not playing has gotten intolerable, people start dropping, exacerbating the problem, and the whole server is doomed to queue into the WZ that wouldn't die. Don't tell me it wouldn't happen, because if people were patient, took queues quickly, didn't drop, and there were tons of people in queue all the time, this whole thing would be a non-issue to begin with. I'm not saying it's not a problem, I'm saying there's very little BW can do about it without causing more problems. Show me a solution I can get behind, and I'll be on board in a second. Do you have some sort of evidence, or am I just going to have to not take your word for it?
  23. His comparison between video games is anecdotal and inaccurate at best, whereas mine is directly relevant in that a team that's down beforehand forfeits if they can't bring players. Which counts as a loss. My "rudeness" followed his. And wasn't close to rude, merely analysis. Unlike yours. Your commentary on exploits has nothing to do with a 4v8 or 5v8 scenario, which is what the OP was talking about. Making that whole paragraph an exercise in failed reading comprehension, and, ironically given your lecture, rudeness. As for not starting matches until there's 8 players? There were. In the queue. They just didn't all take it. Bioware can't patch their player base.
  24. Life isn't fair. My logic is already posted. If your team is short and would lose if the game continued, why shouldn't you lose when it gets aborted? At least they saved you 15 minutes of suffering. As for your claims of games you've done team-based PvP in... well, you're lying like a rug if you've literally never lost a game because it was short and ended early. Hell, in WoW, all my toons got the Arathi Basin perfection from 5capping in matches that were massively short. EVE doesn't have WZs, only the Arena Tournament. StarCraft is an entirely different genre. And your expectation of "fair" in an MMO doesn't line up with success in EVE either.
  25. You die to 9k damage, after getting knocked back to outside his max range? Mixing nerf QQ with blatant exaggeration really doesn't help your case.
