  1. I was hard pressed to see "most people agreeing with him" . I see him agreeing with him - and a few other posts. In fact two people from EH (myself and another) vs his one noted this is an issue. Not that number of posts agreeing means anything since those who are using this exploit will argue hard and fast to keep it - while those who haven't been affected (yet) are unlikely to post anything. Time will tell whether this is fixed. One thing is certain - if it isn't brought to anyone's attention - it won't be.
  2. Not a big problem - to you. But then you think it's an intended game mechanic. LOL Please feel free to pursue what *you* feel is important; I will exercise the same right. Oh and dearie - I never said anyone "sucked". Wasn't me. But then I don't expect you to understand too much of anything you read - you're too busy trying to legitimize your pvp over other's.
  3. Turning off xp - when I was a "twink" in WoW (mid 90s) was free as I recall. But I could be wrong. Either way, it was definitely an optional part of an intended game mechanic.
  4. Right. Keep telling yourself that. I say they loaded the xp at the end of the game - to keep people from quitting early. Only - it backfired. We'll see. As this becomes more of an issue - what do you want to bet - it will be fixed.
  5. Actually using game mechanics for an unintended result is against the rules. And rationalizing inexcusable behavior because it imitates what is bad in level 50 pvp - well I don't think that is even addressable.
  6. Twinking is used in different ways. Some simply mean someone who maximizes their gear. In WoW you could turn off xp as I recall. It was a legitimate part of the game. It isn't legitimate in this game. And it is not harmless.
  7. This isn't even an issue. Twinking, PUG - are all part of the game. Staying at level 49 forever - isn't. And I find just as many bad players in level 50 PvP - because too many wait until level 50 to PvP. a good percentage of the time - the lower levels are much better.
  8. Biggest mistake imo? Waiting until level 50 to pvp.
  9. Twinks and premades are not the issue, nor have they ever been - not with me anyway. I'm not going to name names - as a crafter I have been approached by Pub side people for gear. Which is how I learned about the practice a few weeks ago. I've been encountering it more frequently in WZs.
  10. Lets be clear though. The issue isn't twinking when done within the constructs of the game. You can twink your character without exploiting a game mechanic to stay at a certain level. Twinking is not bad. Exploiting - is.
  11. Perhaps you should spend a little more time reading that person's other posts - than lecturing me on mine. Also if you read through the thread - it IS a problem on other servers. That's the problem with not reading everything carefully tho I find it very odd that you are more concerned about teaching others to do this than fixing the issue. Wait - I take that back. No, I don't.
  12. Hahahah you know nothing about me. keep trying to justify your bad behavior and cowardice tho. Nuff said. ::edit:: I take that back. Not enough said. I actually appreciate your input (and those who are arguing so vehemently in favor of this exploit) -- illustrates that it is a genuine problem, and not an isolated event. So, please continue to support this exploit!!!!)
  13. Doesn't matter if they are good or not. People playing against them give up (because some people - particularly those who are not that great, think it IS all about the gear/level. You familiar with that are you?). It's about leaving your team hanging in a tied score in Huttball, etc. Even if you personally don't care (and I can beat most if not all of them) -- other people do. And it's affecting team play. THAT is the issue. And it isn't just Imps. In fact I learned about it from Pubs doing it .
  14. Dude - I have "top gear" On my level 50's and my alts. This isn't about gear. It's about people stopping fighting, and camping nodes for medals when they see these groups. It's about people exiting warzones before the games are finished - and costing a win. So no, it isn't about gear -- not for me. I moved on to 50 before the free recruit gear. My lower level toons are all in purple modded gear. I know the "idea" of why this is not good for warzones will escape you - since you are clearly focused on yourself and not your team.
  15. Um no. I have no issues with PUGs. None. I have no issues with level 50 PvP - I paid my dues (before the free recruit gear) and they are apparently addressing some of the frustrations. Not the same at all. Not even close.
  16. It's called "My epeen is feeling a little teeny ... so, if i stoke it some, it will be the biggest in this group for a long time. But I don't dare go compare it to the big dogs..."
  17. This isn't simply twinking. You don't need to artificially hold yourself at a level using a game mechanic in a way it wasn't intended (which is against the TOS.) to twink. It also is not good for team play in general. Leaving a WZ in Huttball in a tie can cost the team a win. I am assuming this is not intended - we'd need Bioware to verify.
