I did bring this issue up. That it was COMPLETELY unacceptable that anyone should have a bad PvP experience from these exploiters. Thank-you for rendering my thoughts more eloquently.

I think this is an adequate solution - similar to one Doomsday presented earlier I believe. A slow leak of xp, a chunk rewarded at the end. I agree that Comms and credits right away would encourage people quitting early even more.

You are 100% correct. I am entitled to my opinion. And don't you worry about how I spend my time sweetie -- that's very kind of you, but I have it all under control. I honestly don't want to start reporting people. The point isn't to go after individuals - just fix the exploit. Some of those who are planning to do this/actively doing it are people I actually like and pvp with regularly - and there's something - well -- less than kosher about selectively reporting people, so, imo it's better to not single out individuals. As for the action falling into a "grey category" as an exploit -- not buying it. Not buying it one bit. But I totally understand people trying to rationalize crap behavior - it's human nature

Meh, getting sucked back in.... happens to the best of us, especially with the rampant... um... challenges... I've learned to just put certain people on ignore. Took me awhile to learn this, but it is very effective. I think the exp award with medals is an excellent, (non resource intensive I'd think?) solution. As for the hijacking and the definition of exploit. You know, I never thought anyone would try to argue this isn't an exploit or that it's actually an intended game mechanic. Imo that's just ludicrous - and I usually don't contemplate the absurd as a possibility What I did anticipate was the requisite "you're just jealous of twinks" "learn to play" "move to level 50" comments - and the vehement defense of using said exploit (because it's "harmless") -- while vehemently denying use of said exploit by said defender. One of the reasons I usually avoid the forums...

I think this is the solution... Someone also suggested maybe dividing the xp up in 1/3rds and 1/4ths. It would help with people who unintentionally disconnect also..... Pretty easy fix it seems....

Ohhh I will work VERY VERY long and hard to do what ever I can to make sure this is fixed. As for whining about warzones and knowing of tactics - I'm not the one using an exploit to stay level 49 in perpetuity and spending millions to beat up on lower level toons now, am I?

You aren't "offending" me. That would imply you are possessed of power you simply don't have. I do however have little credit to give to people who feel that since exploits don't affect them personally - they should be dismissed. Your right, of course. But don't ask me to respect it. Funny -- I love lowbie pvp. Guess it's all a matter of opinion. I don't have any real issues with balance - can compete fine with toons many many levels above me. ::shrug::

Actually to be precise: 41 expertise gives a damage boost of 1.07% a dam red boost of 1.06% and a healing boost of .57% It does add up, especially if you stack 2 crystals and use the exp enhancements. But you have the choice of getting the crystals yourself, and/or using the mods from the PvP weapons starting at level 34 I think? I have a total exp bonus that boosts my damage increase to 4.16%, dam reduction to 3.99 % and healing boost to 2.24% and I could actually tweak that quite a bit more by using the higher level pvp enhancements (level 46) However this is totally achievable by anyone.......

No not lies. But go ahead and make lame accusations. I've sold 3 discontinued speeders in the last month alone, for 25 million each (ty F2P and cartel coins!) I've been selling them since they were discontinued. I have several more, along with many other limited run items. I've been playing since pre-launch and I have 2 accounts in my household. So ya, totally possible to have that many credits. No matter how "absurd" YOU think it is.

Start saving comms at 40 - you'll have more than recruit. This is ridiculous since MOST people don't CHEAT and manage to deal. These people can put their big boy/girl pants on too, move on, and play the game they way it was intended to be played like most people do.

The problem is - just because YOU haven't encountered it - doesn't mean others haven't. There's mention in this thread of at least 15 known twinks on my server - and I know more who are planning to do it. When I enter a warzone and my team GIVES UP (note I said my TEAM - not ME) before even STARTING The damn warzone -- when they give up once a group of these twinks cap 2 nodes on Novare -- when these exploiters LEAVE a tied Huttball match and we lose the game - REPEATEDLY- then it's affecting *me*. When this happens with INCREASING FREQUENCY -- it's affecting *me*. And when I am approached by potential twinks to craft items with certain stats for their 49s--- I know the issue is becoming more of a problem. And DON'T Tell me to move to 50. I have TWO level 50s. One a War Hero, one a BM. I will move this toon to 50. And start the process all over again with an alt. I have several alts I am leveling to 50 to use as crafters. I also learn to to be a PvPer by PvPing with every class. I level mainly through pvp. Lots of people are altaholics. I , and they, have EVERY right to BE alt-aholics and to PvP within the ruleset - and NOT have their games in ANY way disturbed by exploiters. They have every RIGHT to stay in the lower level bracket of PvP leveling alts - as LONG AS THEY DO NOT EXPLOIT IN ORDER TO DO SO. And no one should NEVER, EVER feel (or be told) that THEY have to "rush" or "just get through and move on" to level 50 PvP because of exploiters and cheaters. Ever. End. Of. Argument. Also don't tell me I am "jealous" of the twinks because of their gear. Time to put that ridiculous ASSumption to rest also. I have over 400 million credits. I can buy/make any damn gear I want. I don't care about their gear. I care about how they affect MY gameplay by exploiting. clarification: While I quoted you Doomosdaycomes -- the post was largely directed not specifically at you - other than your comments that this isn't affecting you , and it seems "petty". When something that is an EXPLOIT - causes negative ramifications FOR ME and others - several others in this thread in fact- (and you can bet most people affected ---don't even bother to post.) - when this happens the issue is no longer "petty" or "not an issue".

Of course lowbie PvP has great meaning. It prepares you for level 50 PvP. And running into barriers to lowbie PvP because of exploiters shouldn't happen - ever. No one should curtail their lower level PvP (where they learn HOW to PvP) --- because of someone else cheating/exploiting. Anyone who says that lowbie PvP is meaningless clearly has no idea what the hell they are talking about. And I'd ignore just about any opinion they had at all when it comes to pvp. Just saying. (And the fact that the person in question can't even distinguish between complaining about non exploiting twinks and exploiting twinks -- is clearly illustrative of their overall ability to exercise sound judgement and reasoning.) Ya it's harsh - but I had to say it.

QFTT No one should wait until level 50 to PvP. No one. Unless they have already leveled a toon in that class.

I have two level 50's. One is fully geared WH the other partially (rest BM gear). My shadow is level 47 - almost 48. I've never complained about a gear gap either (or anything PvP related actually) Go figure. Oh and as for the number of twinks encountered - we have a hell of a lot more than one.

The entire exploit was explained to me by someone preparing to use the exploit in answer to those exploiting. That's how I learned about it. So no reason to give these people the benefit of the doubt - there is no doubt.

If you're suggesting that it's just F2P people who "don't know what to do" - I'd say you were very lucky in terms of who you get grouped with

I don't need to back up anything. The simple fact is - it's possible. i'll say it again - the point isn't to punish people for engaging in the exploit - it's to change the way xp is awarded so people can't exploit.

Proving it isn't necessary. Again -- no one is asking that people who engage in this exploit be punished. The way xp is doled out simply needs to change.
