  1. In short they're bad and your explanation of the mechanic is bad. Kephess Final Phase Tanking 101: He knocks you back, immediately turn away from him and run (Tip: Lay your first circle furthest away and work yourself back towards Kephess). He does a frontal cone attack after the knock back so make sure no one is in front of him, this is probably what was killing you. Provided there is no server lag he'll cast Breath of the Masters right after which then your offtank will taunt during the cast. Rinse and repeat.
  2. Except that would be an Indie title and would be fine to have some hitches. This is a AAA title there are no excuses for bugs to be around months after release. Of course they used the Hero Engine which is a joke as well. Bugs in Denova (present since 1.2 or server merges): During the shield phase of Storm Caller and Fire Brand the proc relics still kill the user even though this was claimed fixed in 1.3 patch notes it's not true. (Good DPS don't use them anyways, but hey they said it was fixed and it's not.) Operative cleanse is not 100% on the yellow ridicule during mortar phases only mercenary and sorc are guaranteed to cleanse in Hardmode. A stealth spawn mob disappears after killing a ranger. Buggy add spawn on Colonel Vorgath and the add in the tower sometimes bugs out and won't attack the operator. Also sometimes the person finding the probes is rooted and cannot move, missing a probe phase. Fourth bomber spawns randomly (Cause is unknown happened one time to me.) Server lag is horrid causing Kephess to cast his DoT late and Breath of the Masters late. (Present since mergers) My favorite: the stop and stare bug where everyone stops and the server freezes for a good three seconds. Of course there is only One Republic in the game.
  3. Find a post with a video that counter acts these claims or shut up. Since no one else has claimed it or uploaded a video to date yet. It's safe to assume it's world first. I'm pretty confident that no one has been trying to 4 man NM KP. As for you Nightmare 'proof': I want you to look at that black hole chest in the video. It only appears on Nightmare difficulty. Of course a scrubnugget like you probably hasn't cleared Black Talon Hardmode let alone KP Storymode. Thanks for our daily dose of bad.
  4. I can confidently say that you're just bad. I suggest watching Youtube videos to learn your rotation. Ambient clears 16 man Denova HM every week and we one shot every boss so I do know what I'm talking about.
  5. It's not whining. We all pay to play the game. We deserve to be pampered and to get things that we want fast without error. Think of all this negative feedback as critiquing BioWare. Next time before they do something like this they'll learn not to discuss it until it's almost finished. Of course with transfers they really did shoot themselves in the foot, should have been developed at launch slated for release a month after (Not saying the game was dieing at the time just that it's a basic tool for MMOs).
  6. Actually cooking a steak properly is a very difficult thing to do. Maybe you like your steaks bland, but actually taking the time to make it taste good, requires skill.

  9. Well soon you'll be upgrading to Rakata gear. I suggest keep the enhancements that have the sheildrating on them and placing them in your Rakata gear. In HM EV and KP there's an enhancement drops that is Rakata level with endurance, shield rating, and absorption (Not positive on third stat). So just replace the old Columi ones as you keep going. Shoot for 20-23% defensive rating (I'd say 20 cause you'll get 23% in 1.3), with 50/50 on shield and absorption. (Rule of thumb is a 2:1 ratio for Shield:Absorption). The best relics for a juggernaut right now are Campaign Relic of Shield Amplification and the matrix cube.

EDIT: Also OP I forgot to mention that Augmented Columi Implants are actually better than their Rakata counterparts for Juggernaut tanks. PS: If that other juggernaut was so pro he would have caught that mistake.
  11. You're assuming that he's not a moron and can accurately count 2 seconds. Which isn't likely for both accusations little man. Here's my suggestion either prove it with a video, or don't complain. After you prove it, open a ticket.

  13. I love posts like this. It's a should they do more damage when you look at it on paper. The marauder SHOULD do the most damage in the game. Problem is most marauders are bad. I know in Ambient's Ops 1 their juggernaut DPS was usually 3rd, of course if you ask an Ops 2 guys (mine) opinion Ops 1 DPS was bad. Guess that explains why. However a juggernaut DPS adds another interesting factor to the raid. He can switch to tanking stance immediately when the main tank dies and hold the boss until the main tank is revived.

And yes I know what I'm talking about since I'm geared in full campaign on my juggernaut with 24,186 HP with 20% Defensive Chance, 50% Shield Chance, and 50% Absorption Chance. I'm one of the best juggernauts in the game and I'm offering you advice, you can take it or leave it. DO: Your daily quests for completing hardmode flash points (It gives you Columi comms) False Emperor for Columi Chest Black Talon for Columi bracers Boarding Party for Columi gloves Foundry for Columi boots Kaon for Columi helmet Consider switching to Biochem (Don't have to, but it does help) Use those Tionese comms and crystals you earned from the FPs to fill in other gear. Story Mode EV (After you get in full Columi you can do HM EV, but feel free to do Story Mode KP anytime. Whatever that guy mentioned about you needing more health on the first boss isn't very good at PvE. You'll be fine as long as you know what to do) Focus on getting more Shield Rating and Shield Absorption (2Rating per 1 Absorption) HM EV drops a perfect enhancement for this. DO NOT: Skip D7 and use the Columi comms you've earned to buy the pants from the comms vendor. Wear blues. Waste daily comms on some bad mods/enhancements save for Campaign Shielding relic, Rakata Earpiece, or Rakata implants. (EDIT: I just saw your post about doing this. Don't do it again.)

  16. How do armor debuffs work? Do they allow for more damage from other players besides the one who put the debuff on the target? If two characters of the same class put an armor debuff on do they both allow for more damage or does only one take effect while calculating damage? For example, would a raid do more damage to a boss if it had 3 unique armor debuffs opposed to no armor debuffs? I'd like an extremely technical detailed response including the armor formula with the debuff factor added and damage claculating formulas. And yes this is an actual issue that people want to know about so I'd really like it to be answered. Pretty please with force mind trick on top.

  19. You should first work on replacing all your PvP gear with at least Columi. I'm not going to say not to work on augmented gear as it's important, but 1.3 is around the corner which will allow augments to anything of at least green quality. For augments I generally do Shield Rating to boost up my shield chance. I did use an endurance one, but I know my tanking partner has the +18 power one in his mainhand. I'm at 49% chance to shield with a 50% absorb. Bioware is pushing the juggernaut class away from Defensive rating for shield rating. There's actually an enhancement that drops in EV that's +40 Endurance, +51 Shield Rating +32 Defense/Absorption (Not sure on the last stat). Ultimately you want to look for your rakata gear to replace all your Columi, and you can collect your augmented gear as you go along with it (Since it's orange so there's no worry about replacing it).
  20. First make sure you're in tanking form. (Soresu's Form) and that you're guarding a DPS that is within 10 meters of you. In EV the only time a ranged will be on you is during Missile Salvos on the first boss (For the stack up and AoE heals, not sure if you do that) and on the first two phases on Soa (Provided you/the DPS does not have a lightning ball to absorb). Secondly use your directional taunt early on, like I mentioned when jumping or after a crushing blow. Then when a DPS steals use your AoE taunt. By the time that runs off your directional taunt will be off CD and ready should you lose threat. However you can use it again to gain additional threat. You should be continuously going through your rotation of Sundering===>Crushing Blow===>Smash/Force Scream with a retaliation after it's off cooldown (I'm not listing the full rotation here for sake of clarity/time). Alternatively, after you've gained enough threat you can use your directional taunt when it's off cool down and you save the AoE taunt for emergencies. If you do this you will never lose threat after the first minute of a boss fight, unless you intentionally do it (Since EV requires only one tank on all difficulties). Finally what does your gear look like, what's your health at (I'm just curious), and what are you speced as? (Recall I'm speced 31/7/3 with 24,046 health ). I'd try using the directional taunt early on (whilst charging) and doing what I suggested after that. See how that works out. I never do EV anymore so the fights are a little fuzzy for me to remember specific tanking rotations since it's mostly instinct at this point. Acceptance that you might be just too under-geared for your DPS's damage output. If you're sitting in Tionese and the DPS are in full Rakata you'll have a harder time holding threat just due to your gear difference. I suggest maybe watching some Youtube videos of the boss fights you're having trouble with, although your problem seems more rotation and taunt timing related (hanging heavily that second one there).

  22. If one looks at the Columi and Tionese gears sets they are levels 56 and 48 respectively. Now here's the strange thing about this, the Columi mainhand weapons for tanking only have a level 48 +31 endurance color crystal whereas the DPS sets have a level 56 +41 critical rating color crystal. Now if one looks at the Tionese mainhands they all sport a level 48 +31 Stat color crystal. Everything else in the Columi sets are level 56, making me think this is just an error that has slipped past the Development team. I'd like a confirmation that this issue will either be properly adjusted or not. I don't want to sit around wondering.
