  1. WoW's launch was a huge disaster. There were bugs, HUGE server issues, glitches, etc. plaguing the game even a mere month after the game's release. WoW still has issues, as well. If you search Google, you will find endless amounts of threads on various forums complaining about current bugs, glitches, etc. SW:TOR has been out for a mere two weeks, and you people are criticizing it as if it is the worst MMO launch in history (which it's not, clearly). So far, this game has been the smoothest MMO launch I have ever seen/heard about. Really. And don't give me a spiel about how "This is 2011, the game should have FAR superior server hardware than 2004". While there have been hardware advances in terms of processing speed, capacity, etc... that still doesn't mean that huge bugs can't occur. There's always a potential issue on the software side of things. As for the gameplay "fundamentals"... I haven't noticed anything that would bear a severe hindrance on my experience whatsoever. While it may be an issue for some, it hasn't stopped me from enjoying myself.
  2. I agree that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe, but I also agree that intelligent life has come into contact with this planet, and has been for the past millions of years. Anyway, that's irrelevant to the point of this thread. Is Star Wars possible? Yes. Extremely possible. Is a civilization much more advanced than the Star Wars possible? Yes, especially if they had billions of years more than what we had. We have the potential to build a lightsaber, which has been theorized by physicists as requiring plasma, and a warehouse-sized power source (but not impossible). Remember... years ago, a computer required an entire wall for space for simple mathematical calculations. Now, we have iPod Nanos that can fit in the middle of our hard that have 100x the processing power of the computers at that time. Hell, they have more processing power than even the most powerful computers of the 70s. In my honest opinion, between the next 500 - 1000 years, we could have an actual Star Wars-like planet. That's just what I believe.
  3. Level 27 almost 28 Sith Assassin. I am curious to know what I should have for skills... I already have slicing.
  4. They might as well make it for the iPhone, too.
  5. Lawl. This man speaks the truth.
  6. People think others enjoy seeing their whiny threads, when, in reality, it simply makes THEM look at lot more pathetic than they make the game seem.
  7. I'm level 27 almost 28. I have no idea how people have been leveled up to 50 for so long (some since even before the game came out, during the 10-day pre-release access). They seriously must have a LOT of time to kill. I don't even go out much, and I'm still level 28. Jesus... They complain about how there's nothing left to do after they've leveled so quick? No wonder! Most people are going to be significantly lower in terms of their level 12 days after release.
  8. Or they know that all of the majour issues are going to be fixed in time, and choose not to whine and complain about it on the forums... especially when there's 93120310392103913209 million topics expressing the same ideas, opinions, hatred, etc. All-in-all, I think this is a FANTASTIC game. It is absolutely amazing in almost every way. As far as this game being virtually "unplayable"... no. Not by a long shot! Sorry to say. I have had NO hindering issues playing this game. I spent $150 on the CE, and I will fork over my $15 monthly subscription until the very end!
  9. I'll lick BW's boot until the problems are solved. I paid $150 for the CE, and I'll pay the $15 for subscription monthly. I love this game.
  10. Whining thread #31301301203123894. *Yawn*
  11. You indicated that this game was unplayable, because it lacked certain elements. Then you turn and say that most MMOs are never finished, anyway... If that's true, then what would be the point in even bringing up these points? A huge chunk of threads on this forum are already discussing the points you've made... You need to educate yourself on logic.
  12. If you know MMOs are never finished, what was the point in making all of those points? Another whine thread. We need more cheese in these parts.
  13. No, I'd love to hear all of your "things that BW haven't addressed". Please. Hasn't stopped me from logging on daily and enjoying myself. WoW wasn't always as "beautiful" as it is now. It was quite boring when it first started out, actually. ... Again, this hasn't stopped me from enjoying myself. I have paid $150 on the CE, and subscribed with my credit card with no chance of unsubscribing because, personally, these points aren't game breaking for me. I've been getting along just fine. The only issue that has even been a sleight hindrance for my experience is that chat bug. I can type in general and in whisper, but I can't in guild or party. Weird. Not game breaking by far, and I'm pretty hard to please. Sad thing is, you can't please everybody. There will always be something that someone will claim is "game breaking".
  14. Well, considering the vast majority is still at 10 - 20, it'll be a while before more people are at 50, resulting in the game being more boring for those who rushed. I'm glad they're bored, maybe that'll teach them to take their time.
  15. Because I like the colour orange. Why does the Moderator have their text in yellow? No specific reason. Oh, and for me... the game started at level 1.
  16. You pretty much say the same exact thing in every thread. No wonder why you think it's average; you rushed through the game to level 50, which is rather sad on its own. I'm playing the game in chunks, taking it slowly so it doesn't lose its novelty over time. I'm only level 27 at this point, and slowly climbing. Frankly, I don't see what users gain out of getting to level 50 so fast. Also, I think the world design is fantastic. Some of them may be a little small, but there are significantly larger ones like Hoth and Tatooine. If they made all of the planets as large as the WoW world, then people would complain that they were too big. I am sure that they can expand these worlds with expansions/patches/updates, as well as add new ones.
  17. If you have a job/other priorities, then that time frame shouldn't be any issue for you.
  18. My life savings goes on the fact that they weren't banned simply for being on Ilum. I believe that other malicious activity was occurring, as well.
