  1. Hello, I am not sure if any of you remember me, but I posted quite rigorously during my time on here in January 2012 -- my name MAY ring a bell or two. Anyway, I've decided to return. I got to thinking about joining potentially great MMORPGs. In that process, I thought about what MMORPGs had a good hook on me out of all the MMORPGs that I tried -- it turns out that THIS GAME, out of all of the MMORPGs that I have tried, had the firmest grip. I attribute that to my pre-TOR love for Star Wars. Anyway, I am assuming a lot has changed. My game is in the process of downloading, and installing the main assets required. Does anybody want to fill me in on what has changed during my time away? Thanks.
  2. Obviously there is going to be a bias towards playing SW:TOR. To get a better idea as to what is the preferred "game of choice", you may want to post this question on a forum that is not apparently lenient towards either of these games. Just my $.02 That being said, I stopped playing SW:TOR after a couple of months, and am currently returning. I went out and tried to play a number of games for two years, but something made me return. Perhaps it was the unique style of this game, combined with the uncanny artistic beauty of the worlds, the impeccable voice acting, and the lore associated with the game? Who knows? All I know is, I am back... and I plan on staying for a while. In my time away, I tried giving WoW a number of attempts before finally giving up. There was just something about it that could not grip me; I even tried playing EVE, Guild Wars 2, and a number of others, but to no avail.
  3. Pretty sure the amount of rest exp you obtain is null compared to the amount of in-game exp you get.
  4. I actually find leveling to be rather tedious after you hit level 30.
  5. Frankly I think the weekly maintenance and patches are fantastic; it shows that they are listening to their community.
  6. Hilarious how I go on daily for about two hours, and have been level 33 for the past week, almost to level 34. Yes, you did speed through.
  7. I find the forum complainers to be hilarious, honestly. Obviously you enjoy the game if you have a yearning to go home and play; that's a sign that the game is great.
  8. Coming out with an excellent game with excellent service. Seriously. Weekly updates and maintenance = a great company who cares about their customers. Props to Bioware for making a fantastic game.
  9. The only time I've ever had to pay more than 1k credits is when I was being a dummy and let my armour all go to 0% endurance. Other than that, I only pay about 500 - 800 credits every repair.
  10. This game has to have had the smoothest launch I have ever seen in an MMO. Props to EA & BW!
  11. Not here to QQ about how the game is horrible/bad because I absolutely adore this title, however, my game has suffered a MASSIVE FPS drop after the patch, to the point where it appears that I am getting about 20 fps when last night I was getting around 65. ????
  12. More maintenance = more issues solved. Frankly, I think you should be happy that they're taking so much time to try to fix things. If they only took an hour each day, guaranteed that people would be crying that they didn't invest enough time into trying to resolve the issues. My advice? Suck it up. Nobody cares about what you think, especially when it comes to something beyond your control and Bioware's control. They're TRYING to please the community. If people like you weren't so damn impatient and greedy, you'd see that. Cheers.
  13. They're just nerds with pent up nerd rage, hoping that other nerds (including myself) will give two *****, which, consequentially, we DO NOT.
  14. Obi-Wan in his prime would've destroyed Vader in ANH... and I love Darth Vader.
  15. Been taking my time slowly getting to 50, so I don't get bored like I did with WoW. So far, it's an excellent game. :-) I love it so much!
  16. Why would Bioware want to copy and paste WoW's coding? That's ridiculous. They're starting from scratch, on their own terms.
