  1. Flying? Ya the WoW devs are actively trying to remove it. Racial Benefits? I love swtor BECAUSE they don't have racial benefits. I can play the race I WANT to play without feeling gimped. Multi versions of the same op per week? No...just no.
  2. Very interesting...might have to check that out
  3. Right now I am just farming companion gifts with 2 or 3 skills with 5 characters (couple slicing in there). See how that goes
  4. Minimal involvement, I'm not looking to take over any markets just want a few credits to play around with.
  5. Thanks for the tip! Frankly, I just want to make a decent bit of credits with little effort just taking advantage of all the empty crew skill spaces and high affection companions.
  6. So 12x exp has given me plenty of fresh 50s with no crew skills. Any suggestions on how to capitalize on these to make maximum credits?
  7. Everyone is instantly aggressive as soon as you question Bioware jeez...no I have not played any of those games nor do I have any desire to. You're justifying a practice because someone else does it? Idiotic reasoning. Fine, apparently I'm the only one who thinks adding an annoying cartel coin tax to a pointless two currency system is a cheap tactic for a little revenue. However, I would think the argument for the tax would be a lot strong if it was only for non-subscribers.
  8. Having two different currencies, just to be able to charge cartel coins for the exchange, is just petty. Sure it isn't a large amount, but its just unnecessary in the first place. Thoughts? Edit: I think its far from "p2w" its just a cheap trick for more revenue. 9. 10 in addition to the 15 we pay monthly. Please DO NOT compare RotHC to other expansions. The amount of content added is not even close to the amount of content expansions in other games add. Granted, that's why it was ten bucks for subscribers, but it really shouldn't be called an expansion. RotHC is more like a major patch in WOW than anything else honestly. WOW doesn't usually add just extensive solo questing in its patches (usually), but includes extra raids, 5-mans, battlegrounds, etc. Again its justified by the low price point, but it isn't an expansion.
  10. Pretty sure I paid for that "expansion" so I don't understand why people use that as an example. Sure there were other updates to 2.0 but they weren't additional content.
  11. Honestly, makes me wonder what my 15 bucks bought me this patch
  12. I can understand paying for Cathar. I can understand paying for name change, race change, etc. HOWEVER, making subscribers pay for the new hair styles is BEYOND greedy. Now you can all call me a child, 12 year old, whiner, make bad analogies of why this is the case, etc. Edit: I made this post only in regards to the new hairstyles, this isn't a generic "omg bioware so greedy" post. Edit2: Just watched the 2.1 trailer. The ONLY thing subscribers don't pay extra for in that video is the dyes...
  13. I love mara jade, but she is dead and I would never ENCOURAGE moe inconsistencies unless they were to make another movie. Then they'd obviously have to shift things around. Also dude it seems like you have a major hard on for a fictional character...not judging
  14. The only race/class combination is the chiss. I can't think of any force sensitive chiss. Edit: I did find an example, but that is just a class example of the expanded universe contradicting itself.
  15. No. 1. Lack of class balance. 2. Shameless copy of WOW endgame 3. Not a promising future
  16. So you proved that leveling is fun, how does that not confirm my point?
  17. Did anyone else buy this game on release, love the leveling process, and hit a brick wall when you hit endgame? I'm a former WOW player (obviously), and I waited for this game for years only to unsubscribe after I hit 50. This isn't a hate thread, this is an honest question to other players. This isn't even saying there is a "lack of content" (though that could certainly be argued), its just that its the SAME content. The SAME grind. WOW Endgame -Raids -Heroics -Achievements -World PvP "zone" -Team based pvp (battlegrounds, arena) -Crafting -Dailies SWTOR Endgame -Operations -Hard Modes -Datacrons -World PvP "zone" -Team based pvp (warzones) -Crafting (even in its pathetic form) -Dailies -I guess you could add companion quests, even though they don't take very long You could make an argument that the game is new, and more content is on its way. I'd agree, but I'd also point out that no matter how much "new content" they add to the game it still follows the SAME model. Unless they completely redid their endgame model, no matter how much they add the basic template stays the same old thing. The template is just the WOW one with a Star Wars skin. Note: Why any developer would think dailies (doing the same exact set of quests every day) is a good idea astounds me.
  18. Well lets think about it, you subscribed to the game, hit the endgame, decide to quit, and still have x amount of days left on your subscription. So they stop playing but can still post for the remainder of the subscription time. Not complicated.
  19. Basically what you are saying is that WOW has little to do endgame and SWTOR just copied that model...ya that was brilliant on their part.
  20. What am I going to do today? Ill probably do my dailies, do a heroic or two, and then do a raid with my guild. Honestly, that statement could apply to a number of games. The endgame is not original, gets stale really fast, and has very limited content. Illum is garbage, there are 3 warzones which have no original design, only 1 companion has a "quest line" really, etc etc. Oh and to whoever thought that DAILIES (doing the same exact thing every gosh darn day) was a good design idea (not that it is original) you should be fired. Dailies are not in any way fun. Crafting is a joke, enough said. Space combat gets really old considering the copy and paste the same maps and just change the difficulty. Most people do space combat while leveling, so not that interesting at 50. Datacrons can be fun, ill give you that. Social/valor level are just a grind, grinds=antifun
  21. It seems the majority of the people who are convinced to stay or outright flame the op aren't 50 or haven't been for more than a few weeks. The endgame gets old real fast and needs a serious turnaround. Almost anyone who has been 50 for a month+ (and a I bet some who haven't even been 50 for that long) will agree the endgame is not in a great place at the moment.
  22. He is stated to have 8/10 of the power of the greatest Sith lord in history (if not the greatest force user seen at this time). He is DARTH VADER how dare you lol Also, do people really think lightning determines force power? There are a few other force abilities... His lightsaber fighting style is a varient of shien, so its gonna be hard aggressive hits rather than the finesse of something like Count Dooku's style.
  23. Light siders can use force lightning...am I the only one who realizes this?
