Companions don't follow the game class structure. They have unique builds (Some might share similar builds) and only have some talents from similar classes. They are build for specific roles though they may have stances allowing them to serve different purposes. For instance Lord Scourge is a Melee Tank but also has a DPS stance if you don't want him to tank. Any toon can benefit from Endurance but Kira should be strong in Willpower because She uses force attacks and will Willpower will increase her DPS like most counsulars.

Is definitely harder to play than any other class (mauraders being an exception of course). For the most part I can kill level elites or even elites a level higher but I seem to have trouble with Sith Casters at my level. If I have trouble though I just level up more or get a friend to help. It's my opinion that some of the class bosses are too strong for their level. You beat all the other elites on the planet and come to your class boss and they roll you. So you go get a friend or level up and come back and roll him. My problem is I shouldn't have to be overleveled to beat my class mission boss. This isn't limited to Sentinel though. My rogue guildmate got rolled 8 times to his class mission boss on Tat and that even included some attempts after leveling up. I helped him with his mission and he helped me kill the sand demon.

I would just get something as good as or better than the recommended Specs. Nvidia GTX260 AMD Radeon HD 4850 But even they are older and probably not available. Most of the current cards should play this game fine but I would avoid the bottom tier and at least get middle range. You probably want to avoid cards that take lots of power as you don't want to have to upgrade your power supply too. Personally, I'm looking at an AMD Radeon HD 6750 and that runs around $110.

So 85%=100% does it? I don't know the numbers for other MMO launches but I'm sure 85% retention after the first month is Good.

Not for focus. If you've built up Singularity. Sweep follow by Master strike will give you 3 good numbers in a row.

What tree has a spammable interrupt? Definitely not Focus.

Hmm, I think you will find that the level 50 Sentinels are a minority. Why should I only care about level 50 pvp when I'm stuggling to reach 50 in PVE. I'm not sure the class is any more broken than others but we do have no CCs (save combat) nor a push back and some of the mission bosses are way too strong for their level. I've struggled ever since I fought Valis. THings got better when I got DOC but for some reason HOTH didn't give me enough XP because I went from almost 2 level over to one under in one planet and I did everything but the heroics. Now I'm level 42 on Belsavis and I running 2 missions I can't complete because I am getting wasted by the Elites (and adds - without the adds the one wouldn't be killing me). I already beat several elites at this level but these ones to finish the missions are way too tough. I shouldn't need to buy some fancy gamer keyboard or spend 150 on a mouse to be able to play the game well enough to level that's complete BS. If I can't play this class well enough to succeed what about a handicap player? What should they be restricted to playing Socerer or Sage?

Focus is better than that, with Zen up slash hits really hard and doesn't use focus. It also hits 2 targets.

I'm not sure if an AOE would trigger Rebuke but generally I also wouldn't have Rebuke up unless I was taking damage as a primary target. I usually don't use my defensive cooldowns when I don't need them.

One of the interrupts is only useful to Watchman or in situations where you get knocked back during a fight. And of course can be used at the beginning of the fight if you sent your companion in first.

My sentinel doesn't usually have problems with Champions. It's the odd elite that's way overpowered for his level that he struggles with.

Lancerx, you're a god. I never heard anyone else claim to solo heroic 4 at or just below is level other than you.

The Problem is we shouldn't all have to play watchman or a watchman based spec. I don't want to play the FOTM and shouldn't have to. Either Sentinel is broken or some elites are just too hard for their level (I personally believe the second is true). On HOTH, they don't even hide that the bonus Elite for one mission is too high. He's level 41 on a level 38 mission. And no not a Heroic either. I filed a bug report on that one. Though most times the boss elite will be your level but after fighting it, you realize that it's tougher than any other elites at this level. Way tougher.

Well the damage isn't quite as much. Slash still does noticably more damage. Of course slash does the best when Zen's up. My Focus spec Sent can burn down about 40-60% of an Elite's health in one Zen session (6 slashes). My problem is getting 30 centering up during an elite fight so unless I bring 30 from a previous fight it's no help. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Oh and the Zen infused Slash on Focus can also hit 2 mobs at once.

My Sage is great for Groups. CCs one of the Elites or Stongs, Provides tons of DPS and can heal if anyone gets in Trouble. And Spamming Telekinetic Throw (no cooldown) seems to disrupt target

What are you talking about? THat's the Focus Spec commands. Everyone from Focus. No 120 points needed. Edit: I guess Precision Strike isn't a Focus talent.

Umm that's a focus spec. Not watchman. He's suggesting going Focus. The good reason is because the massive AOE damage you can do with Sweep. An AOE with guarranteed Crits.

Okay, I guess too if you are running with DOC, you could freeze one Elite in Carbonite while fighting another. Does carbonite last long enough though? I know my Sage's lift is 1 minute so that's plenty of time to kill an elite and heal but then again my Sage kills elites alot faster.

How sure are you that Companions can't aggro via proximity? I'm pretty sure on Coruscant and Nar Shaddaa that Kira aggro'd some mobs on me as they didn't attack until I was well past them.

Okay, I call bs. I'm not sure what Heroic 4 your talking about and yes you could beat a champion one on one but I can't see you finishing a Heroic 4 a level below you solo. Sentinels have no CC and I don't believe any sentinel could handle 2 elite together that were just a level below them and definitely not with Doc as he couldn't handle an elite on his own if it was half dead. Now maybe this Heroic 4 has no double elites but everyone I've done has. If you don't agree that Sentinels have a problem fine but don't play us for fool either.

You really think taking Pomell and Opportune strike off the GCD will fix anything. Sure they would more useful but the opportunities to use them is so infrequent, they won't make a difference in a fight. And it's not like we have a good stun. I'm focus spec and my only stun is on force leap and it's 1.5 seconds so this suggestion won't help me at all. It might if they gave us a good stun.

My DPS Sage with Qyzen can solo 2 elites without breaking a sweat even Champions. She can easily solos Heroic 2+s. My sentinel would have to be 10 levels higher to do the same.

How can anyone take you seriously when you can't spell the short form of Sentinel?
