What death? Weren't you paying attention? Once he says something to the effect that he finally understands old friend- (a reference to when he kills Malek I guess?) Then if you watch closely it says some kind of heal over his char bar-Then he disappears. Most likely to that crusier that you see overhead earlier in the flashpoint. So he's not dead at all. In the beta he was a killable boss but the outcry was huge in the forums from players and so it was changed.

This...... The community in this game I have found is by far the worst of any MMO I have ever played and I started with EQ in 1999 and have played most of the major ones released since. Even WoW had a better community then this. I have never seen a more unfriendly and unhelpful grouping of MMO players then I have seen in this game playing Empire on a PvP server. Maybe all the jerks or Epeen teens just rolled empire PvP like people keep telling me but I have seen things in this game that I have not seen before. Pugs are the worst in this game then any I have played. There is little chat, no coordination and no slowing down to look around. I have been in groups where players were kicked for wanting to listen to all the voice dialogue when it was there first time in the instance. The chat channels make WoW's barrens chat seem civilized and I didn't think you could go any lower that that. Most of the guilds are no better-Its just Barrens chat with a different font color..... Soloing in this game is pleasant, peaceful and mature. If being social means getting on the level of the screaming "MOAR" types that fills this game then I would rather be alone or play with a few close friends.

I got a purp gun for Talos and put him in DPS mode and he has been putting out pretty good damage while also healing (I am a tank-for now) You are pretty much unstoppable with him. For bosses I turn on heal mode and turn off carbonite. That's the biggest gripe I have with him. He will use carbonite even if I am already on the mob and he will channel it for 8 seconds even after it falls due to damage. So I am debating turning it off for good.

Yes I will keep playing. I will finish leveling my main to 50 (taking my sweet time at 42 now) Then will take a few weeks off and then start to gear him up or start another toon. In a few months my close friend will get the game and then I will level to 50 with him. So I am not going anywhere. I love the game tbh.

I can't believe there are people in this thread with a 31/0/10 build and not using thrash? Energize is very important to the build. Why would people gimp themselves on purpose?

Like an earlier poster suggested I think the fastest way to level is Darkness and wearing DPS gear and NOT tank gear. (defense, absorption, shield-avoid this on gear) Get lots of power and surge instead. Use Andro as soon as you get him and you can get talos as early as level 34-35 I think and then use him. At that point you will be able to solo heroics at close to level and level with ease. Champion mobs? Not a problem... With that spec and Talos once you get him no downtime.

Keep dreaming.... Free in 2 months? Yeah that will really happen. It takes a year or more to get a game ready for FTP. I don't see this game going that route for years and since you won't be back till its free then we won't be seeing you.

You mean in the forums right? Because only here is it all "wrong" as you say. All the talk of doom and such and last night 240 people in fleet. Mass exodus right? I don't think so. The people who leave and then want the game to fail just decide to come here and post every day. They want to feel justified in their decision to quit or bash the game and feel the need to tell everybody over and over but to do so with others who feel the same. Most players are in the game and still having a great time. I know that I am. You feel the quests suck well I feel they are great. The best I have seen in any MMO. In fact the process of leveling in this game is the best I have seen. As for more content the game just came out. WoW built its content over the past 7 years and this game is just getting started. So whine and the quit and then post to tell everybody. Are there ways to make this game better? Of course and I am sure it will improve a good deal over time.

I have played as Darkness and Deception to level 35 and have switched multiple times. As darkness I find its easier to stay alive. As deception I find it a far more fun and satisfying play style. Darkness= Tank Deception is DPS/rogue-ish madness I don't know about as I have not tried it yet. I think Darkness is easier b/c its harder to die. I die sometimes as deception b/c Khem goes down now all the time. To be fair he's not really geared out as I dropped him for the DPS guy as soon as I could when in Darkness.

I am starting to come around to this line of thought as well. The game does need more content but the ease at which one can level in this game means people can cap very fast. Too fast.

Of course its his machine. Either his system needs a cleaning, a piece of hardware is faulty or there is some driver incompatibility. I have a good machine and the game runs just fine. The OP never even posted his system specs or the BSOD error.

Duh if you are experiencing a BSOD its certainly NOT the fault of the game. BSOD's are the result of some faulty hardware that you own. Either your system is running too hot or there is some piece of hardware that is not working correctly. You should have paid attention to the error message that accompanies the BSOD. (You can have your system to NOT reboot when BSOD hits, so you can write down the error)

I tried a Naga about a month ago and it was too small for me. About 10 days ago I got a Naga Epic which is larger and so for me feels more comfortable. The first 3-4 days were painful. It was frustrating and I was having little fun. I hooked up the little training things to the buttons (5 and 11) and now I have finally started getting used to this layout. Its very useful as I now have control of 36 mouse buttons. (ALT, Shift) I would NOT get the SWTOR mouse as its an EPIC but without the changeable grips. I also don't make use of the cordless function either.

LOL The combat log will be used to ruin this game like it helped do to WoW. People will be forced into specs for raiding and then measured and then excluded without cookie cutter builds. I hope they don't ever add it.

This is by far NOT the most important issue. Are you actually saying that its more important than fixing PvP? Or adding content for 50s? I think not...

The Fatman is one of the most populated PvP servers (prolly 1st or 2nd) Imperial outnumbers Republic but Republic has many players as well. If you are republic though prepare to have to deal with many gankers.

As Republic on a heavily populated PvP server, when I stop to chat I always seem to get ganked by some stealth char. lol

The only "world" PvP that I have seen so far occurs when am at low heath already. I don't call ganking PvP but I guess there are a lot of bored 50 kiddies on the server.

I thought I would bring this back as stuff has changed in the last few weeks. On Fatman, an east coast PvP server, one of the most populated of servers there is ganking going on left and right by the Imps. Now with so many 50s and a faction imbalance- if you are republic and are not a stealth class prepared to be ganked left and right by numerous 50s as you level. I am not saying this to complain, as I knew what I was getting into-but the people who say they leveled to the cap without seeing opposing faction? Well that's NOT going to happen on this server, though I don't know how the Imps have it. My guess is they have it easier due to the fact that there are much more of them.

This game is probably the most solo friendly MMO around. They made the single player experience a rewarding one. With the full voice activated quests and the gear you can get solo, along with the companion system and being able to gear them anyway you want them there has been nothing like this before, but this has been heading this way for a long time. For me? I solo mostly while leveling but will group from time to time for a flashpoint or so. There are not all that many flashpoints and I don't see the need to do them over so....... I solo mostly all the way to the cap, and along the way usually try to find a good guild to join so when I reach the cap I can do group stuff. There just seems little point to grouping when leveling when this game makes the solo stuff so easy to do. If somebody asks to group I usually do but I don't go out of my way to do so. If more of my real life friends would play I would group more but they are all into the Xbox instead of PC gaming. I think the system here is great. I can go at my own pace and group if and when i want to but I am not overly punished for NOT grouping. In any event the gear you can get while leveling you outgrow very fast anyway. I like the fact that this game lets you do what you want. Want to level by PvP then you can. Like the space missions? Go for it (I think they need lots of work but have potential there) Like flashpoint dailies and social points? Then go for it. Choice=Good thing...... I do have some nostalgia for games like EQ where you had to group but I am glad that I have choices here.

I agree with this! I have been playing MMO's since EQ's launch and I am having a very good time.
