  1. As the title implies... I find myself never using Thrash. Maybe I am missing something, but it just doesn't seem to have anything that shouts out "use this ability - it will do better than average damage." Does it even have a place in the rotation?
  2. You claim this is for the 'health' of the MMO, and you label the previous bracketing of PvP an "exploit;" please explain this blatantly ignorant accusation. An exploit, as per the dictionary and within the proper context, is defined as "to take advantage of (a person, situation, etc), unethically or unjustly for one's own ends." You claim it's unjust, or unethical, however... lower levels are ONLY at disadvantage due to: 1) No expertise on any <50 gear 2) They don't have all of their advanced class spells/abilities 3) Their spells/abilities won't hit as hard as a fully PvP-decked player Players who participate in warzones in the current state that they are in, do so knowing the above disadvantages, and despite those disadvantages, I've seen several sub-50 players top the damage/healing charts. So despite the fact that they are at a disadvantage so-to-speak, they are still quite effective. Now, I might agree with you if the sub-50 players had to participate in warzones without any kind of buffs, to either stats or abilities, but as it remains, sub-50 players are only at a slight disadvantage.
  3. So... you're basically suggesting a knee-jerk reaction, in that many players, myself included, would lose ALL of my PvP gear, and Valor? Firstly... this idea simply plunges off of the diving board blindly into the negative pool to immeasurable depths of bad ideas. If I lose all of my PvP gear, then that's pretty much ALL of my gear... minus my Matrix Cube and my implants. So... that leaves me completely naked of gear, thereby completely useless in PvP or PvE. How do you recommend that I recover all of this lost gear? Simply go out and farm it off of mobs? Oh, well I'd have a heck of a time downing mobs my level because I now have no weapon (btw, most of my assassin abilities require a double-bladed lightsaber to use), and I have no armor. I suppose I could browse the grossly inflated GTN and buy new gear... but how far do you think 1.4 million credits will get me? I don't know about your GTN, but there's not a lot of assassin gear on the market, and the gear that is there... is, as previously stated, grossly expensive. And what if I didn't have that money? What if, like many people I know, have less than 100,000 credits? What will they do? No sir, resetting PvP gear and Valor points is a horrible idea... and many people who have already gained the Valor rank of 60 will lose all motivation to re-obtain it.
  4. I will say that I agree with quite a few of the already discussed points in this thread: 1) Maul costs too much force for too little damage, especially considering that I regularly see guild-mates (non-assassins) hit for more on both non-crits and crits, and maul is supposed to be one of our hardest hitting abilities. I would very much like to see it have a damage boost in general, and perhaps give it an even higher damage boost if used coming out stealth? 2) Tumult. Why even bother giving assassins tumult, if we can't use it on players, or on elites? I mean... seriously? We'll use it on strong or weak targets, but by the time we get to the target, it's already dead! As a deception assassin, I don't have any AoE that I regularly use, and so by the time I get to packs of mobs, most of them are already dead because the rest of my party has blown them all up with AoE. Which is frustrating in it of itself. 3) Stealth. This is BY FAR the most broken ability that assassins have. As previously mentioned, I am a deception assassin, and I have 3/3 Obfuscation, but ANY and ALL enemy players can see me as far away as 20/25 meters. HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE!? Assassins ARE the stealth class, so we need to be able to use stealth to position ourselves onto a target, but if the enemy can see us from so far away... why bother giving it to us? If we've fully upgraded stealth, then the target should only be able to see us from 1-3 meters, with 3 meters being the absolute most! Say, for example, we are planning on attacking a ranged target... well, WE need to get into melee range in order to attack, but if that ranged target can see us through stealth at 20 meters (and they will), then the ranged now not only knows that we are there, but can also open up and may even prevent us from getting any where near melee range. There have been a few times where I will move towards a severely wounded sniper or caster to get a quick assassination kill, but the target sees me at around 20 meters, shoots me and breaks my stealth and then stuns me, and then before I can force cloak, I am being attacked by several of his team-mates. Additionally, it takes forever to get out combat! I may attack a target, decide that it is better to retreat to heal up, but even if I get more than 50 meters away from the target, I am still considered in combat, even though I haven't been attacked in over 10 seconds, I haven't taken any damage (from direct hits or DoTs, or otherwise), and I am not near any enemy targets at all. Now, I am not quite yet fully geared out in Champions or Centurion's gear, but why do assassins have light armor anyways? We are extremely squishy considering it is so hard to remain stealthed, and if we are unable to re-stealth, or force cloak, then we are relatively easy targets.
