  1. Indeed, i probably should have said it in a different way. I long ago removed these keybinds, because i dont like when the bars change by accident. What are the default keybinds? I seem to remember they are shift-1 thru 6, though its been years and i may be mixing up my games.
  2. To replicate the bugs, do the following: 1) make a copy of your UI (I named mine "test") 2) Preferences, Keybindings, Quickbar - check your keybinds for "Quickswitch to Quickbar" 1 thru 6. Most people have them set for Shift-1 thru Shift-6 . 3) enable quickbar 1 thru 6 on screen, put abilities on each bar that are unique to that bar 4) disable quickbars 2 thru 6 (only QB1 should be showing) First Bug: Verify that QB 1 is showing, then use your keybind for Quickbar 5 - the game displays Quickbar 6, but has it has the number "5" on the right. Second bug - Again, verify that QB 1 is showing, now use your keybind for QB 6 - nothing happens. Third-bug - Again, verify that QB 1 is showing, now use the little arrows to scroll thru the quickbars. The correct QB's are displayed in order, BUT the number displayed is incorrect on the last two. (QB 5 has a 4, and QB6 has a 5). I've just recently rejoined the game after years away, but i remember similar problems from years ago. Can we get these fixed? Thanks in advance.
  3. Completely justifiable resurrection of an old thread.
  4. Still working on February 27, 2022. Thanks OP.
  5. OR ... MOX has hidden code which interacts with the client in some way you don't know and they haven't said. OR ... Bioware screwed up the code to "detect 3rd party programs", and it is giving a false positive for MOX. You have to admit, it might not be the MT that is mistaken, here.
  6. Just to confirm: Searching the GTN sucks now. There are other problems than the one quoted here. This is dumb. What prompted this change in the first place? I don't remember seeing players complain about the new GTN. And ... we never tested this on the PTS. Why not? Did I spend hours leveling a guy to 30 on PTS, so that you could put untested patches into the game, and possibly reverting code unintentionally, without being able to test it?
  7. The side speeders are instant again, this was not in the patch notes. This warzone sucks again.
  8. Please make the Energized / Exotech / Exo series Bind on Equip. My motivation is a selfish one - I want a pair of plain black gloves with a crit slot for my sorceror, and my Synthweaver is my warrior. (We're a small guild, so being the only Synthweaver in our raid, I got all patterns, BOP or not). While looking around for a pair of craftable gloves, I got to thinking - Why is this stuff BOP in the first place? In some cases, similar drops can be had from Flashpoint Hard Modes, and in other cases, EV and KP story modes. Pretty easy to acquire in either case. Allowing crafters to make them would be another source of inter-player economy (and it would also allow me to get my plain black gloves!)
  9. I can confirm, just put in a low level armoring mod into the orange gear, and you can RE it. Search my post history, I made this same question and other players told me the work-around. The Mats returned are appropriate for the level of the orange. For example, I RE'd some War Hero gear, and got back the Grade 6 mats I used to make it in the first place. (This was also confirmed by Stephen Reid, check the dev tracker)
  10. Centurion and Champion Armor was made fully Moddable (all mods can be removed) after 1.2. Centurion and Champion Weapons were not. Is there a reason for this? As a player, I was fully expecting to be able to remove mods from these weapons after 1.2.
  11. How about adding this to the known issues list (with workaround)? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=403398 It would have saved me from posting my question the other day: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4087619#post4087619
  12. Thanks for this answer! (And thanks to the other posters, too)
  13. I have made a few orange pieces since patch 1.2 with my Synthweaving, including: Battlemaster,Various Pieces (Heavy) War Hero, Various Pieces (Heavy, Light) Marauder Elite Headgear (Medium) Warrior's Leggings (Medium) Resilient Polyplast Vest (Medium) In each case, when I mouse over the tooltip it says "No Research Available" as well as "Requires Synthweaving (xxx)". This leads me to believe that I can Reverse Engineer the pieces for Materials only. However, when I try, I get the message "This item cannot be reverse engineered". Are other players having this problem? Other crew skills, too, or just Synthweaving?
  14. If you read the patch notes carefully, only the NEW armoring mods will have the set bonus, and only the NEW armoring mods will be bound to a specific slot. However, OLD armoring mods still say "chest" or "hands" , even though they don't contain the set bonus. Summary: there are actually TWO bugs to report, not zero. Sorry.
  15. Yes, my original post was to point out a flaw in the design of the rewards. In Voidstar, the win needs to give the max rewards, or we need to switch it back where we play it all the way through.
  16. Solo queuing will mean you have a terrible win ratio. Make some online friends that you like to pvp with, and queue together.
  17. Round 1: We defended our hearts out, and gave up zero doors. Round 2: We got thru the 1st door, and the game ended. (Yay, this is a great feature). However, we only received 60 commendations (Boo, this is a bad feature). Speculating, it seems we got less % of comms because we did not "complete" the warzone. This is a problem. EDIT: I didnt mention it, but i got 16 medals. In this scenario, the problem is not medals. You get "Fast win" medals, a ton of them. The problem is COMMS
  18. Static Barrier counts as healing, so use that. 2500 healing medal Recklessness --->Lightning strike, 2500 damage medal Find someone low health ... Shock (for a killing blow)
  19. 1.Read my post carefully, it only says to show the names of your premade in your window. 4.You ignored and did not address my comment that Ranked Solo would be an RNG bracket. Random games with random results. So, you want your Rating to go up and down randomly? And you want people with really good luck to have 2100 ratings? 11. You can see other team before the match begins. So, no, I would not agree with allowing changing of gear/spec in the starting area, unless the other team was made completely invisible.
  20. "Credit sinks" are cosmetic stuff, like mounts, pets, unique looking gear. "Unlocks" are features you open up in a game, for playing a long time, accomplishing things, killing a certain type of creature a thousand times, etc. Like Special guns, extra cards, personal mailboxes.
  21. Except he is directly conflicting with another developer's post in the QA Blog. It's a bug. Here is my thread on the PTS forum reporting the bug. With the quote from the blog: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=395690
  22. States many times by the devs, this only applies to Campaign and War Hero gear. None of the old gear has the set bonus attached to armoring (although the armoring mod can now be removed on the old sets, the set bonus does not move with it).
  23. Here is my Dirty Dozen of things I would like to see in Ranked Warzones: 1) Queuing for Ranked Warzones gives you a window, with all your group/op members listed. Each other member starts with a ? next to their name. Each member receives a dialog with "Accept Game, Leave Queue" as the choices. The ? indicator changes, as each group member answers, to Checkmark, X and "Timed out". When all choices are made, the game starts (all = accept), or the dialog stays on the screen (in order to show who chose what). The opposing team gets a message "your opponent did not accept the game, you have been re-inserted to the front of the queue". 2) Leaving a game = forfeit = loss. Disconnecting is the same as leaving a game, since you have to assume there will be some cheaters who will unplug their network connection if they feel they will lose the game. If you have a bad internet connection, certainly you expect some games to end badly for you. (If a player legitimately disconnects and reconnects before the game is over, they should be put back in the game.) 3) Once a game starts, no replacements. If you allow replacements, there will be cheaters who see the enemy team's composition, and attempt to take advantage in some way. 4) "Ranked Solo" is one of those things that looks good on paper but would not be good in practice. At best, it is an RNG bracket. At worst, on a smaller population server/faction, it would be possible to manipulate the queuing and actually get a "premade" solo group. ("Hey no one is queueing right now, everyone get on Ventrilo ... 3-2-1-Queue ranked solo"). Also, if a certain Role has an advantage in warzones, anyone queuing in that role would have an advantage in the Ratings. Let's pretend that Healers are that class - if you queue as DPS, then your team automatically has 1 non-healer and 7 maybe-healers. If you queue as Healer, then your team has 1 Healer and 7 maybe-healers. 5) "Ranked Duos" might be a better solution. Or maybe the bracket should be 2 thru 4 players. I understand the need to include players who do not want to take the time to find 7 friends, and agree with it. You need to include the players who can just hop into game for 1 hour while the baby is napping. 6) Be unlike any other game, and give the players some specific queue information. Messages like "there are under 5 groups queued ahead of you" and "there are between 5 and 10 groups queued ahead of you" and "there are more than 10 groups queued ahead of you" would really help. You CANNOT give the exact number of groups - because players will game the system to prevent certain matchups. "Estimated Time" absolutely does not help, don't copy other games and give us a time which is meaningless. 7) Ranked Warzones needs to be multi-server to insure it's success. Hire contractors, work overtime, spring for some weekend pizzas, do whatever you can do to make it happen. Players on smaller population servers can immediately participate in this great feature, and won't bug you (as much) for server transfers. 8) "Bragging Rights" is a big thing to gamers. If the project is too big, don't get overambitious - just start with an export of Server name/Player name/Guild Name/Rating once a day to a web-database thing, put it out there for all to see. Competition breeds subscribers. And yes, it should be there in PRE-Season...it needs testing just like any other aspect of this game feature. 9) Matchmaking. I think you've already got this aspect under control, and it already includes expansion of matchmaking parameters as queue time increases. If not, by all means, include it! 10) Changing gear should not be allowed once the queue is accepted. 11) Spending talent points which are un-spent should not be allowed, once the queue is accepted. Also, activation of your multi-spec (available in the future, I know) should not be allowed once the queue is accepted. 12) Gear which requires a Rating to buy, should go off of your "highest rating this season". You don't want a situation where someone removes their mods from non-rated gear, puts them into Rated Gear, loses 3 close games, and then can't wear his stuff! ------------------------ For what it's worth, I think you made the right call postponing the Ranked Warzone system as it currently stood. I did NOT get a chance to test it myself, since I had no 50 on PTS, but I read a lot about it on the PTS forums. Comments welcome!
  24. 1 pt of damage is 1 unit of "threat". Assuming you are the tank, and using the tank "stance" of your class (Ion Cynlinder, Soresu Form, whatever the assassin thing is), that's actually 1.5 units of Threat. The "HITs matter, Not Damage" theory was tested and disproved. Here is a link, it is post #11 in that thread: http://mmo-mechanics.com/swtor/forums/Thread-Threat-conversation?page=2 Also, post #15 in that thread, will explain threat mechanics in much more detail. ------------- The BT Hard Mode question is a different story. This MMO is not like other MMOs - you cannot hit the tank "rotation" and simply have more threat than all other DPS. BY DESIGN, you will NEED to taunt every now and then. (Otherwise, it takes no skill to tank, you just hit the rotation and a monkey could do it.)
