  1. This is important at all levels, but even more so at the lower levels. Everyone is running around looking exactly alike because at low levels, you are very limited on what armor is available to you. If you would just randomize the colors of the armor mission rewards, it'd go a long way towards making people look a little different. I was just doing a mission on my level 9 bounty hunter and noticed there were 3 other hunters in the area. We all looked exactly the same. Blah!
  2. 1. I'd like to see epic quest lines where I can bring more than 1 companion along. In fact, I'd like to see a major quest line that allows me to use all my companions at the same time. 2. It would be cool if I could use my alts as companions. I want to adventure with my own legacy team. That is all.
  3. I agree that you can't make everyone happy all the time, but come on... Don't you think BW is using this time to build hype for 1.2 in hopes of attracting new customers and/or retaining current ones? Over at mmorpg.com, how many videos / articles have been released detailing 1.2 or showing it in action? They're milking all the PR they can get out of the patch, and I don't blame them -- it makes good business sense (to a point anyway). The team is probably working on a build 2 or 3 patches ahead of 1.2 right now. 1.2 will be released to live as soon as they've gotten every last drop of PR out of it that they can.
  4. Option 3: Break the big patch up into smaller patches and release new stuff as it becomes ready. Don't hold up features a, b and c just because feature d and e aren't ready. That'd be my vote.
  5. Some people are just anal about things. I started playing this game in Beta, and I've been playing since. My highest character is 46, and I'm fine witht that. It's not a race. I have encountered very few bugs, and I'm having a blast witht he game. I love the stories, and find myself playing longer than I should each night, because I want to know what happens next. This game is GREAT right now, and will only get better with time. If you can't see that, just move on to the next game and start trashing it. I have no doubt that's exactly what you'll do, because no MMO will ever live up to your expectations on release. Now, enough of these whining depressing forums. I'm going back in game, and enjoying my day away.
  6. 1. Who says I "need" to make specific suggestions? 2. I'm pretty sure that BW is smart enough to figure out how to be less predictable. If I really have to explain that to the company, the game is in serious trouble. 3. I gave examples of what I found to be predictable in my OP. What's with the forum police here? I made a suggestion and other players are telling me it's not valid or good enough? My original suggestion stands. Make the game less predictable. Surprise me once in a while. Use the talent that I KNOW BW has, and make it happen. As a customer, you don't need me to tell you how to do your job -- you just need me to tell if you if you're doing it right.
  7. /facepalm... Complaint: "I don't like how predictable the game is." Suggestion: "Being less predictable would make the game better." This isn't rocket science.
  8. This game needs a random element badly. Here's an example of what I mean: I get to a console mission objective and click on it. Guess what happens next? Yep, an elite enemy shows up and I have to fight him. Enemy groupings are pretty much the same regardless of what or who I'm fighting. I can fight one enemy group while another looks on from 20 yards away and does nothing. The list goes on, but the point is simple. Once you figure out the basic way the game works, it's just an exercise of rinse and repeat. There's no real threat as long as you stay with enemies in your level range. There's very little surprise, and nothing happens out of the ordinary.
  9. While I disagree that the classes must be a mirror of each other (simliar is fine, the same is lame), they could at least change up the animations and effects more. Sometimes companies worry so much about balance, that they forget about fun. Just sayin....
  10. This thread is yet another reason I prefer to solo. You simply cannot control other people, and it's just going to end badly if you try. No amount of whining will change that.
  11. You're making a huge assumption that they'd put all that extra money back into the game. Gaming companies are still companies, and companies are all about ROI and profit. If you can make more money and spend less doing it, you are golden.
  12. What would you call it? Pick up this, examine that. It all takes somewhere between 2 and 4ish seconds. Sounds like clicking a glowie to me...
  13. Sucks. I find it incredibly annoying that I can't click on a mission objective, rez my companion, switch weapons, etc. while engaged in combat. It's even more annoying when "engaged in combat" means a mob somewhere on the map is aggro'd to me, but no where close. I'll never understand why this artificial limits are placed on the game world and players. I'm guessing the reasoning is they don't want my companion to distract mobs while I click the glowies. Why not? That's a legit play style. Instead, I get to engage mobs and a ninja gets to come in and click the glowies that I'm fighting for. BLAH! Horrible design IMO. That is all.
  14. Wow, looks like the loot police are out in full force. The way I see it, when another player pays my sub, they can tell me when to use need vs. greed. Until then, I think I'll play my own game.
  15. Actually, I can't seem to get my Sith off neutral. Sure it'd be stupid like you said if I just blindly chose the dark side answer to every discussion, but if I play it like "I" would play it, some answers are good and some are bad. It doesn't always make sense to kill everyone in the room, but sometimes it does make sense to kill one of them as an example to the others. I find I get more cooperation that way....
  16. Really? Because when I played LOTR, I could choose between different qualities of graphics with no issues. If I played with the high rez graphics, it had zero affect on my buddies. Just saying...
  17. Seems like a lot of whining on this forum. I can play warzones, no problem. I don't have any delay issue with abilities. The game runs fine and I've found very very few bugs -- certainly nothing that's interfered with my enjoyment of the game. I'm not sure any publisher could ever release any game that would satisfy some of the people here.
  18. I don't know.... Combining a lot of evolutionary changes into one game seems a little revolutionary to me. Regardless, it works and it's fun.
  19. I do and several others do as well. For us, the game is broken. If you cannot clear the pending quests, you will be unable to board / exit your starship and you can't get / turn in more missions (with rewards). You're basically stuck until they figure out what the bug is and fix it. When you open a ticket, you're also asked to include the word "blueberry" so they can collect info on it (I'm not kidding). This is day 4 of not being able to play my main due to this bug. I received a response from customer service yesterday saying they're aware and thanks for my patience.
  20. Companions are probably one of the best parts of the game for me. Helps the story move along and I like to solo, and they really help with that.
  21. ALong with this, as soon as you press the attack button, the mobs respond instantly. You cannot snipe a mob from a distance, because as your getting ready to fire the mob has already turned and fired back.
  22. You missed a spot. Not sure why you'd come to a thread that's clearly about long wait times and then flame people who have an issue with it. I'm guessing it's an attention thing. /shrug Long lines suck. For me and thousands of others, the game has already launched. If there's some magical fix that'll happen after the "launch date" you're referring to, why wait? Make me and thousands of other customers happy now.
  23. What exactly is an acceptable wait time? 5 minutes? 25 minutes? 2 hours? I guess it all depends on who you talk to. However, I can promise you this. You won't have nearly the number of players you would have had if you don't get this fixed quickly. Having too many servers is always preferable to having too few. With too few, you're turning away business. And if you are planning properly, you should understand that a second flood of players is coming on release day. Are you planning on opening up new servers for that? If so, stop waiting and get them up now. I'm not nerd raging, and I'm not threatening anything. I am just hoping you get your act together soon, because in this player's personal opinion, ANY wait time to get in game is too long and unacceptable in this day and age. This whole launch as been a cluster, and I'm starting to get a little nervous about what the future will bring to a galaxy far far away. P.S. -- I wouldn't have had the time or desire to post any of this if I weren't waiting in a Queue for the last several minutes. Longer I wait, the more disgruntled I become.
  24. For the love of pete, add servers already. Don't cheap out now. Waiting sucks enough, but I'm getting intense lag now spradically.
