OR You are level 50 and are bad because you cant beat a merc with the most OP class in the game that has 4 interupts fighting a class that gets murdered by anyone that can interupt. OR You dont know what class you are fighting.

I had a level 50 Sin and level 50 Sorc. One of which i played as light side, the other dark. The class story had near zero differences from what i could tell, they where exactly the same bar a handful of missions that might have you do something slightly different for one mission before gonig back to the same story as before. for example You can make choices that go against what you have been told to do but all that happens is the NPC you go back to talk to says something along the line "how could you let them live" before going back to the stcok conversation. At no point do you actually feel like you are working against the empire, just that your not killing random people for kicks. Infact this is what a lot of the lightside options feel like in the empire - DARK = random murdering of people who have been or are useful to you. LIGHT = not randomly killing people, or planning ahead (sidious would be lightside in this game) The non class missions are mostly even worse, it really doesnt matter what you say, the NPC in the conversation is gonig to say the same thing. Going light early on will upset most of your early pets. The middle two prefer lightsided options and the last one i have never really used. This is honestly the only difference i noticed between going light/dark. If your an RPer and you want a good light side sith story i suggest you space through all the conversations and just make them up in your head, it will be much better. EDIT

You crit rate is what 30-37%? sorc get nothing, unlike the other classes, to increase thier crit chance frequently and significantly. to actually crit on 1 person every time you hit isnt that likely at all, sure you can pop recklessness but 1 AOE and its gone. And without the crit you can more than half all those numbers because of base med/high armour (as sorc are the only light armour class) nevermind any other defensive CDs being used. Im never sure when people talk about these type of numbers if they have really played the class or if its human selective memory just remembering the highs and forgetting the lows totally.

No, give me sprint at level 1 - walking round at half pace and leveling up to sprint is not an achievement. Thats like saying a guy with two broken legs achieved something laying i bed for 6 months later until he can walk again? He didnt, its was just time passing in a tideous way.

You class isnt hard, you are not a better pvper than anyone else, you have an OP class. People who do well with Snipers are good at PvP, everyone else your average.

I wish people would try other classes before claiming the sorc has (including pre 1.2) decent burst. compared to other classes they have pitiful bursts, even tank classes in tank specs can single target burst as much if not more. Post 1.2 they will move from having poor burst to having terrible burst. Maybe something like 5k over 2 GCD, followed by chain filler for 12 seconds. Otherclasses dwarf this. If you like smashing your head against a nail to knock it into a wall while every other class uses a hammer - stick with the sage/sorc.

+1 this is the biggest problem for me. You feel like you are on a movie set, being directed by the film crew, told what to say, think what to think. Not that you are in a movie in control of your own actions and so you dont really build a connection to your character.

No one is saying you cant kill someone else given enough time, Everyone is saying why bother when the other class can kill somone 3 times as quick. BW like to hark on about group balance....guess what happens when a class that takes three times as long to kill anyone plays in any of the BW warzones against a group of classes that can kill them much quicker........

play another other class, even a tank class, and youll understand why people say they have no burst damage. Really what tools do we have to control a fight over and above other classes? Everyone apart from teh merc has alot of CC. Why play a class that can slowly kill someone over 30 seconds and will HAVE to use all their long CD CC to do so, when you can play a class that can hit for 2-3K with instants while applying CC at the same time then follow it up with more instants for around 3k and finish you off for 4-5k once below 30% health and kill anyone in less than 10?

That 20% damage buff is garbage though. You get 8 stacks and 1 is removed everytime a DOT ticks. woohoo 20% on a 300 damage tick. Crushing darkness on its own will remove the buff. 20% extra damage on a base of **** damage is still **** damage.
