when crafting gets fixed. credits will mean something again. materials will be super expensive. start saving now, that is what i am doing...

I gave up on armormech/scavenge/underwold and switched to biochem/bioanalyst/diplomacy. This was after the biochem nerf. The funny thing is, biochem is the best profession, and I don't even craft with it anymore. I got my reusables and just let it sit there now. TLDR;crafting sucks

I recently noticed that if you remove your item from the GTN before it expires, you lose ALL of your deposit. This is typically 13% of what your asking price was if you put it on the market for 2 days. Someone has recently told me that you lose SOME of your deposit when and item expires on it's own, but I can't seem to figure out exactly how much you lose. The message the game sends you says "your item and deposit have been returned". So I just had a couple questions about GTN: 1. What % of your deposit (if any) do you lose if an item expires? 2. What % of your deposit (if any) do you lose if someone buys your item? Thank you

I am new to MMO and I always see people type about how this game could be free to play some day (making it sound like the game might fail). Why would a company make a game free to play, like LOTR online did according to an advertisement I juse saw. How does the company make money going that route?

I have not seen things get less stable after each patch. Sure the Ilum mess happened, but other than that things improved after every patch. I am on one of the more populated servers and everyone I interact with is having a great time. Sure our HM and OPs groups run into some annoying bugs (entire ops group fell dead over and over last night). It really hindered us from advancing past the glitched room but we worked around it and made it through. I could list 10 major glitches, but let's be real about game breaking. Not being able to advance past a room in an ops is not game breaking. To some people it is (not saying you are one of them this is just an example).

Brand new MMOs are going to have tons of bugs regardless of how much beta testing happens. At some point they just need to release it. If you can not tolerate bugs, then no one is forcing you to play a brand new MMO. Come back in a year maybe? I am personally glad they released it as is. I can deal with the bugs for now, and I am enjoying the game a ton.

If you do not like the game enough to stay without needing attention and asking other people then just leave. I personally love the game and am staying.

Getting rid of air locks would be a good start, or at least make it automated cinema of your character running through it. I do not think travel should be too easy, but I think small steps to improve speed would help. Too easy would ruin the experience.

Thank you all. So it sounds like my plan to transfer credits will work perfectly. What I am still missing is if it would be considered misuse. I can see how it might be (using GTN for a way it is not intended to be used for).

Could I create a republic toon, then have it sell a med pack on the cross-faction GTN for 300,000 credits, then log into my sith toon and purchase it? Basically sending 300,000 credits to my new toon. Is that possible? Is it misuse and would I get in trouble?

Is it possible to mail credits and items to your alternate character on the same server (different factions)? If so, are you allowed to use your alt to buy materials on the opposing faction market, and send them back to your main? Or would this be considered exploit/misuese?

I had early game access, and a lot of my outdoor hobbies are not winter friendly. Anyway, to get back on topic, the reason I posted my hours was just to show I play a lot and only ever see friendly people. It is a lot different on the forums.

I look at general chat all the time. I am on a RP-PVE server though, so that may be why my experiences are different from yours.

And not once did I come across anybody rude in the game. Bioware must have done something to target mature players, I don't really know how it happened but I really enjoy it. Everyone is very nice in the actual game.
