  1. I was spoiled for a lot of the story, but there were still a lot of moments where it really hit home, memorably. The Darkside Jaesa, corruption and romance arc was probably one of the most satisfying stories they've ever done in the game. Not every class story character and crew fits exactly how I might have wanted to RP the character but the Sith Warrior story was spot on. In a quest to destroy the Jedi, taking their most prized pupil and making her my own, and watching her become a powerful servant of the Dark Side; it's exactly what I was hoping to experience as I play a Sith Lord. I think the Warrior was also the first PC I completed Act 1 with, and I think that was the first moment I realized how great that sense of accomplishment could be in completing game's stories. The Jedi Knight story was probably spoiled for me the most, but I still really enjoyed it. It had some really impactful moments. I found myself really feeling that impeding sense of dread in the Act 2 Finale, for example, as we fought our way through the Emperor's Station. Plus, the Kira romance was amazing, she is in my in my favorite Bioware romances. Doing Kotfe for the first time was a whole lot of fun. It was so new and exciting and felt like a new dedication to the story, which I appreciated. The fact that there was a lot of mystery and uncertainty was fun and engaging, even if they ultimately didn't deliver as much of the old characters as I would have liked. Finally getting to see my Consular become romantic with Nadia after Ossus. Honestly, as short as it was, that scene was such a thrill that it is a strong contender for arguably the most excited I've ever been playing this game. I hadn't expected to be able to do that for so long, I thought my Jedi consular would be one of those "Faithful to the Jedi Code" people, but when I learned Nadia would be romancable by female Jedi, I realized it was perfect for her. The Agent storyline, perhaps one of the most fun and engaging in the entire game. It was so different from all the others, that it stood out. I remember being really impacted by the Act 1 choice. I made a bold decision to go out on a limb and became the Hand of Jadus. I remember feeling really guilty afterward, and worked that into the character. But I eventually felt so happy with my choice afterward as I realized how reactive and far reaching that choice was. Plus, then the Act 2 Shadow Arsenal arc so compelling to me, despite every other Act 2 kind of dragging.
  2. Personally, I've got to say that I was actually very happy that they did do this storyline. Frankly, I always felt there was unfinished business with Valkorion's death in Kotet, and I was seriously extremely gratified that they found a way to tie the earlier storyline, especially with Scourge and Kira, together with the later Zakuul stuff. It was also pretty clever that they managed to find a way to have him be a threat without toally undermining the Outlander's accomplishment on Zakuul. I really loved the idea of the story too. He was exactly the type of person to have a convoluted contingency revenge scheme like that. And this was also the prefect way to have all the interactions of his character appear all at once. I was a really big fan of that choice, because before it had always felt a little like Vitate, Valkorion and Tenebrae were different characters with different stories. It was nice to finally see them all in one place, especially since I had been hoping to see Doug Bradly and Darin de Paul voicing the character together at least once, although sadly it felt like Doug Bradly couldn't quite recapture the voice he did before? I did kind of wish there was more character specific and romance specific dialogue for the characters involved, especially Kira and Scourge. I thought this was supposed to be their story, why does everyone else involved have more romance specific dialogue than them? Even Vaylin! Still it was kind of cool that they each had the opportunity to have a brief moment in the spotlight in the climax. It was much more satisfyingly for my Jedi to have Kira there for his final defeat than it did T-7 or Arcann, Senya and Vaylin.
  3. I think the equivalent of this for me would be Jaxo. My Trooper was still hung up on her, and so doesn't have any other romances. It feels like her story is still unfinished, since the last thing she said to me was that she would talk to me again soon. She's not that different from Saganu. Did she survive the war with Zakuul? If not, I feel like we should get some closure on that. If yes, maybe those of us who saved her can see her again? I feel like it would be kind of poetic for my trooper and her to reunite maybe after all the trauma they've both processed.
  4. Could someone clarify where this news is? EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. Yeah I agree this is good news. Not just for Torian, but Kira and Scourge definitely felt like they still have a story to tell. Hopefully the writers do them justice. I also hope Vette gets more content too.
  5. It does feel like a pretty egregious oversight that they left out that option for Republic aligned Sith Warriors, but I guess the Republic only considers "being in love" as a legitimate reasoning for pardoning a prisoner from the Sith Empire.
  6. From what I've experienced, the big test of it is in Chapter 8. If she kisses you at the start of the chapter, it is working right. If not, then something has gone wrong. I've found that restarting the Chapter sometimes help reset that problem. However, it doesn't always work if you do it right away. Sometimes I've had to restart Chapter 8 after the boss fight but before the chapter ends.
  7. I think even from launch there were some species that were available for you to play as that weren't necessarily originally intended to apply when the story was written. Pureblood Inquisitors, for example. There is sort of an explanation in the loading screen at the very start of the story, but almost none of the Pureblood specific dialogue is available to an Inquisitor.
  8. I don't even dislike her, but it was pretty depressing to realize that even when she's not accompanying us everywhere, she still gets the most romance scenes, even when it's not really her part of the story.
  9. The entire reason you were there was to take a dangerous artifact back to your Sith Master in the Empire. You expected him to just let you take it?
  10. Yeah, I confess I'm the first two camps. New characters are nice I guess, but I'm not even close to being as invested in the as I am in my original companions. It's already becoming more and more frustrating waiting all those years to have them back, and then having them disappear on us again. Especially if we've started a new romance with them. And especially especially in situations where we know they'd be relevant. I mean, why wouldn't any of my Jedi or Sith wives be intereted in a renewed Republic-Empire war or whatever Malgus is doing?
  11. The story isn't designed to be about an alien. I don't believe anyone will mention your race. In fact, only Sith Purebloods will get the occasional callout to who they are.
  12. Mechanically speaking yes, that is true. The most annoying part of that is that they also lose the ability to move their lips during most dialogue. And it seems with Nadia they forgot to include her combat dialogue altogether.
  13. Yeah, your class companion quests and dialogue will be over if you start Fallen Empire. And Vette will acknowledge that you never took her collar off.
  14. Strangely, for Imperials, I think Ranken reacts differently if you didn't do Kuat, but Krovos doesn't.
  15. Oh, that explain why Shaar didn't recognize me. That's actually quite helpful.
  16. The Lana romance is supposed to be locked in in Chapter 9 of Fallen Empire, after your first battle with Arcann. It's meant to happen by talking to her during the party. However, there is a common glitch in either Chapter 8 or Chapter 9 that sometimes kills the romance. I think it originates in Chapter 8, but by the time people usually realize something is wrong, it's usually too late to fix. From what I can tell, you can tell if it is working properly if she kisses you at the start of "Taking Flight," and if she comes to rescue you from Arcann. If not, sometimes restarting the chapter helps, but once you finish Chapter 8 for the first time, I don't know of a way to fix the bug.
  17. They fixed the Theron bug after two months. If they continue at that pace, I'd probably estimate the end of October at the very earliest.
  18. "Independence" is not really a third option. You can only side with the Empire or Republic. The it's a separate choice to "remain Independent" or "rejoin your faction."
  19. Is that explained? All I remember Geland doing in the Consular story is trying to stop the Consular from trying to free Hallow Voice.
  20. How? The main thing the Consular does on Belsavis is defeat a Child of the Emperor and recruit the Esh-ka.
  21. The Empire knew the Emperor went silent after the "Jedi strike team" defeated him. More importantly, the Knight also prevents Vitiate's attempt to consume the galaxy.
  22. Well, I tested it, and that's definitely a no. I probably should have expected that it was too soon to have a fix.
  23. I did notice that there are differences for the Akaavi romancing Smugglers and So that appears to be working for others, I think.
  24. I can't remember with exactly certainty, but I think if you do that Arcann, Senya, Koth, Torian, Scorpio, and (I think) Theron will be dead. I'm not sure about Quinn, it's possible he'll be alive. I'm pretty confident you'd get the "Rule the Galaxy" outcome. Although, if you romanced Vette or Quinn in the Class Story, their romances will not continue. Keep in mind, auto-completing the story doesn't autocomplete most of the Alliance Alerts, so if there's characters you want back (Pierce or Broonmark, for instance) you will still have to do those.
