  1. Some of those things are in the game, but, of course, they're static. The lightning in the clouds effect is pretty cool looking. If you're ever on Dromund Kaas, look up and you'll see it.
  2. Why do people always complain about dying? It's never happened to me, so I don't see the big deal about it.
  3. The thing I dislike most about end-game armor isn't just their looks, its that a lot of them seem to abandon the visual theme that is built up for the class. Take the Sith Warrior for example. Leveling up, the gear progressively became more and more, if you will, Darth Vader-ish, starting with the armored look, then adding the cape, etc, etc. So what happens to this look when you reach endgame? Totally gone, nowhere to be found. You can either look like the Terminator or Spiky-dude (and I actually don't mind the pvp look to a degree). What happened to mah awesome cape BW?
  4. While this may work for someone just starting out (for a time that is), its a terrible idea to implement with players who are in the middle of their progression.
  5. We don't want free gear, we like challenges and we like progression. We just want some sort of system that rewards the time and effort we put into pvp, not a 20% random chance (and for an item that could very well be a repeat.) In many ways I think the current system is almost too accessible.
  6. Go check the Horrid FPS thread in the CS section. A lot of players with decent rigs are having problems with FPS in crowded areas because the game is under-utilizing their GPU's (0-30% as opposed to 50-60%+ solo/open world). Download GPU-Z or some other GPU monitoring software and check the GPU load while in the fleet or in a WZ.
  7. So people were complaining because they thought it was new?..... Of course
  8. You're looking fit and deadly today
  9. Its probably more to do with the lv.50 bracket then the odd battlemaster here and there.
  10. I don't think its the maps (besides Alderaan where the cannons seem to be very demanding). If I stick around at the end of the match and close the score sheet to look around, I'm getting 80+ FPS, even if a bunch of players are still standing there. For me, at least, its definitely the number of players in combat.
  11. Like others have mentioned, it only seems to affect some of my abilities. Backhand, Smash, Force Scream, Crushing Blow, and Pommel Strike seem to get the "double take" effect every other time I activate them. Unlike others, I've never really had a problem with Ravage besides a few times having it play out the full animation even when the target dies halfway through. Usually though, it just ends when they die. After trying to activate my Backhand 3 times (and having it fail each time and having to wait for the GCD each time, all this with 35ms) I noticed that my character was fighting a bunch of ranged mobs and he was doing the block blaster bolts animation. I'm wondering if this animation was somehow canceling my Backhand. Or, of course, could be something else entirely or a whole host of reasons.
  12. If you spec'd down the Darkness tree, then you are a tank. If you instead chose the Deception or Madness tree, you are DPS.
  13. I have this same problem. I use Q and E for strafe instead of the usual A and D keys and instead use A and D for ability keybinds. While the game recognizes ctrl+d when i map it in the menus, it won't activate on my action bar when I press ctrl+d. I've got around this by using alt instead of ctrl, but that can be a pain as I like to tab-target and accidentally alt+tabbing, well...that doesn't go over too well in flashpoints
