  1. Sry couldnt resist. I for one never quit pre 1.2 and had a similar attitude, but post 1.2..... well. granted I am a pug who goes at it solo so half the time I get into a losing match already started.. why on earth would I stay?
  2. I have target of target portrait up at all times, it's there u just have to enable it
  3. good **** man.. 'Alas I See your point. And can respect it. No matter how exaggerated it may be, there is some truth in there. damn my thick head hurts. peace.
  4. Hey alright, something we can agree on =) I loved my class pre 1.2. Now I just have a bad taste in my mouth. On a side note. How's come snipers aren't getting any attention? A well geared sniper can get you to 30% health just as fast. As it stands now if I see one look my way no matter what I am doing, I'm gonna leave my target and try to close the distance fast cause you can't lock down a healer or anything if you dead. I'm guessing because there aren't near as many of them?
  5. I'm sorry, but not in this game. Throw a recruit my way with mad skill and I will whip his *** with 3 buttons. I guess I am looking for a niche game, which is fine by me. Preferred actually. Unfortunately developers these days want to be rich overnight. Get everyone excited about the next big game they are working on, make all kinds of promises in an attempt to draw in the masses. Only to bite off more than they can chew and fall short. Which is why I find myself jumping from game to game. The large companies with the means are afraid to break the mold and so people like me suffer for it. They don't want a niche game that provides a steady stream of income. They don't want to be EVE, they want to be the next WoW. They want to suck as much money as they can because they know eventually they are probably going to fail as I am sure the statistics would reflect as much.
  6. LoL, am I being trolled? We might just have to agree to disagree, or agree to agree for that matter as you just echo my sentiments. Gear progression is the standard, I do not argue against that. It's not my standard, but it is THE standard. I pay to PVP.. period. I no longer enjoy PVE nearly as much. All I am saying is that for someone who only wishes to pvp, the gear standard that MMO's live by is what keeps PVP forums abuzz with QQ. A lot of times it is class balance but it's gotta be so much easier to balance the classes when gear is taken out of the equation. Yeah I got close to maxed gear to where I was competitive and made a sorc and an operative, but I still pvp with him for the dailies half the time. Even more so now since 1.2 because War Hero gear is too lucrative and a nice step above BM. I dont want to but I will for now, until the next MMO that includes PVP grabs my attention or the PVP in this game gets a good overhaul.
  7. lol damn I must be tired. I did say something very similar to that but had it in quotations in a different context not reflecting my own opinion
  8. LOL dude stop quoting me so I can stop quoting you. I think you have me confused with someone else. I never said anything remotely close to "raiders will just pwn people blah blah etc... etc... In fact I am offering suggestions that are quite the contrary.
  9. Guild Wars is the only game u mention that even holds an oz of merit for your argument. The throw em in naked reflects only my opinion and that was an exxagerated remark that I would never expect. Nonetheless, you really just said what I said in a different way. Like I said, people have fallen in love with the almight gear and want their epics that steamroll all who dare to oppose. And again like I said, until that mindset changes, I fear there will never be a pvp system where people dont QQ all over the place. Gear is the biggest problem with pvp. I'm a Marauder War Hero sporting BM gear, not a fresh 50, but only because I do what I have to do in order to compete. If gear were not an issue, I undoubtedly would have 2 lvl 50's by now. I farm pvp gear beacause I absolutely have to in order to enjoy the game. And even then, I enjoy it half as much as I would if gear was (for the most part) taken out of the equation. I say for the most part because there are ways to do gear progression without it being such an extreme gap between the Fresh's and Vets. A couple ideas were tossed around in the link I posted.
  10. I am sorry but you completely lost me.. that remark has absolutely nothing to do with mine.
  11. The problem is anything you can do to make an even playing field would have half of the pvp community complaining that since they pvp 18 hours a day they are entitled to own your *** with very little skill. This is my largest complaint or QQ if you must call it. What is really so hard about baselining upon entering a pvp environment no matter what gear you have on? Gear is not the only way to feel a sense of progression, unfortunately the MMORPG Masses have fallen in love with it and until that changes you will never find another really good pvp game. Why do you think so many fail? Trying to fit the same mold that has become a ****ed up standard. Throw us in naked I say.
  12. This has already been discussed. And the possible solutions to the "well everyone will just pwn with raid gear" are found within. You can find it here. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=413697
  13. I can't comment on hardcore vs casual nor do I know what divides the line, but I can say that almost all of my game time is spent in pvp. Does that make me hardcore? Personally I am closest to the "real PVPer" category u stated only I'd rather not worry about the gear at all and have everyone baselined. I have almost a complete BM set only because I have to.
  14. I did? you lumped pvpers together so I lumped pvers together.. never once singled you out..
  15. I pay the same monthly fee to pvp and now I take things too seriously? As if PVEers don't QQ when there is no end game content this none of that, quests too redundant, waaah I could go on. Make everything competitive? No sorry, pvp by its very nature is competitive within itself. That's like playing a football game and telling the players not to compete.. LOL. A sense of self worth from trivial activities? I must admit, standing toe to toe with other foes and smashing their face in does give me a sense of accomplishment. The same sense you probably get when you complete a raid for the first time. At least in the case of pvp, the outcome will be uncertain and each battle will be different. Learn to reason will ya.
  16. I might be missing something here but besides repairs what exactly do PVE'rs spend their money on that PVP'ers don't? Furthermore, it is when I PVE that I rake in the cash. I pvp exclusively and have never been over 500k creds. And I have been 50 for a while now.
  17. My favorite was DAOC as has been mentioned. But best I think by far is EVE. You can not like the game or the genre or the slow pace, but you can not deny that it works extremely well and is the best in several categories. Economy, PVP, free expansions till the end of time, community, I could go on and on. It's a shame it is a niche game for every mmo I have ever played could learn alot by following their example. No I am not a fanboy, nor do I actively play it. But I have to give credit where credit is due.
  18. not to mention those of us that did read the patch notes had to spend all our creds to revert the mods back. A small inconvenience for some, but for me ouch because I strictly pvp and I'll have to have 2-3 days of pvp just to make that back. First time for me. I've never had to spend my in game currency in order to receive a patch.
  19. yeah I wish I would have had fraps running last night. I've heard people mention hacks before and always thought "yeah whatever" but you hit the nail on the head with people about dead who magically regain full health. I thought it a glitch but your post may have some merit. I was not the only one who saw this either.
  20. Yet another troll. Everyone who has argued against my OP for some reason has this notion that pvp is not part of the game and we should receive next to nothing for doing so? Why is PVE (or even crafting for that matter) so much more important in your eyes? I havent read one post that indicates we wish to be spoon fed. We just don't want to be forced into your PVE world, apparently that's where all the idiots are so no thanks.
  21. LOL until now I thought it was bug that needed fixed. I can't believe it was intended.
  22. maybe with cross server merge, but even then I can't say I agree. The low levels go by so fast and even still I have no problem giving any level a good fight most of the time. Hell my PT has been topping damage charts since level 12 Even after guard spending a little time in tank mode just for the extra medals.
  23. ^^ Exactly ^^ Thank god my 50 is biochem or I'd be running around without any self heal or buff. Only reason I got expertise adrenals is because I stocked up on them prior to hitting 50. Coms are too valuable to spend on anything other than progression. but then again, you dont get squat for creds anymore in WZ so I may have to retract that thought.
  24. On that note remove expertise and let all levels in, give everyone baseline stats and have said set bonuses and/or pvp tree be the only advantage. The expertise idea was good in principle, but has shown to be impractical. Sure would have helped queue times in a more practical way than civil wars.
