  1. Sry couldnt resist. I for one never quit pre 1.2 and had a similar attitude, but post 1.2..... well. granted I am a pug who goes at it solo so half the time I get into a losing match already started.. why on earth would I stay?
  2. I have target of target portrait up at all times, it's there u just have to enable it
  3. good **** man.. 'Alas I See your point. And can respect it. No matter how exaggerated it may be, there is some truth in there. damn my thick head hurts. peace.
  4. Hey alright, something we can agree on =) I loved my class pre 1.2. Now I just have a bad taste in my mouth. On a side note. How's come snipers aren't getting any attention? A well geared sniper can get you to 30% health just as fast. As it stands now if I see one look my way no matter what I am doing, I'm gonna leave my target and try to close the distance fast cause you can't lock down a healer or anything if you dead. I'm guessing because there aren't near as many of them?
  5. I'm sorry, but not in this game. Throw a recruit my way with mad skill and I will whip his *** with 3 buttons. I guess I am looking for a niche game, which is fine by me. Preferred actually. Unfortunately developers these days want to be rich overnight. Get everyone excited about the next big game they are working on, make all kinds of promises in an attempt to draw in the masses. Only to bite off more than they can chew and fall short. Which is why I find myself jumping from game to game. The large companies with the means are afraid to break the mold and so people like me suffer for it. They don't want a niche game that provides a steady stream of income. They don't want to be EVE, they want to be the next WoW. They want to suck as much money as they can because they know eventually they are probably going to fail as I am sure the statistics would reflect as much.
  6. LoL, am I being trolled? We might just have to agree to disagree, or agree to agree for that matter as you just echo my sentiments. Gear progression is the standard, I do not argue against that. It's not my standard, but it is THE standard. I pay to PVP.. period. I no longer enjoy PVE nearly as much. All I am saying is that for someone who only wishes to pvp, the gear standard that MMO's live by is what keeps PVP forums abuzz with QQ. A lot of times it is class balance but it's gotta be so much easier to balance the classes when gear is taken out of the equation. Yeah I got close to maxed gear to where I was competitive and made a sorc and an operative, but I still pvp with him for the dailies half the time. Even more so now since 1.2 because War Hero gear is too lucrative and a nice step above BM. I dont want to but I will for now, until the next MMO that includes PVP grabs my attention or the PVP in this game gets a good overhaul.
  7. lol damn I must be tired. I did say something very similar to that but had it in quotations in a different context not reflecting my own opinion
  8. LOL dude stop quoting me so I can stop quoting you. I think you have me confused with someone else. I never said anything remotely close to "raiders will just pwn people blah blah etc... etc... In fact I am offering suggestions that are quite the contrary.
  9. Guild Wars is the only game u mention that even holds an oz of merit for your argument. The throw em in naked reflects only my opinion and that was an exxagerated remark that I would never expect. Nonetheless, you really just said what I said in a different way. Like I said, people have fallen in love with the almight gear and want their epics that steamroll all who dare to oppose. And again like I said, until that mindset changes, I fear there will never be a pvp system where people dont QQ all over the place. Gear is the biggest problem with pvp. I'm a Marauder War Hero sporting BM gear, not a fresh 50, but only because I do what I have to do in order to compete. If gear were not an issue, I undoubtedly would have 2 lvl 50's by now. I farm pvp gear beacause I absolutely have to in order to enjoy the game. And even then, I enjoy it half as much as I would if gear was (for the most part) taken out of the equation. I say for the most part because there are ways to do gear progression without it being such an extreme gap between the Fresh's and Vets. A couple ideas were tossed around in the link I posted.
  10. I am sorry but you completely lost me.. that remark has absolutely nothing to do with mine.
  11. The problem is anything you can do to make an even playing field would have half of the pvp community complaining that since they pvp 18 hours a day they are entitled to own your *** with very little skill. This is my largest complaint or QQ if you must call it. What is really so hard about baselining upon entering a pvp environment no matter what gear you have on? Gear is not the only way to feel a sense of progression, unfortunately the MMORPG Masses have fallen in love with it and until that changes you will never find another really good pvp game. Why do you think so many fail? Trying to fit the same mold that has become a ****ed up standard. Throw us in naked I say.
  12. This has already been discussed. And the possible solutions to the "well everyone will just pwn with raid gear" are found within. You can find it here. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=413697
  13. I can't comment on hardcore vs casual nor do I know what divides the line, but I can say that almost all of my game time is spent in pvp. Does that make me hardcore? Personally I am closest to the "real PVPer" category u stated only I'd rather not worry about the gear at all and have everyone baselined. I have almost a complete BM set only because I have to.
  14. I did? you lumped pvpers together so I lumped pvers together.. never once singled you out..
