  1. Hello, I'm building a new computer as we speak while doing backups. from the old one. Can I move files from my current SWTor install folder to the new computer or do I have to download everything all over again. When a friend of mine got his early access, we tried to start the installer, then exit after a while, put in all the patchfiles from my computer. But it still had to download everything. Maybe we did something wrong. We copied the assets and movies folder, since that contained most of the data. But it didn't work. On other MMO's I have kept the patchfiles and just put them in the folder, and it didn't need to redownload them. Is there another way for SWtor? Or do I just have to DL 20+ GB all over again?
  2. He's probably talking about him getting in que and leave the computer idle, so after 20 minutes when his hard drives go to sleep mode he's kicked from the que and have to line up all over again.
  3. Have a simular system and run fine on high, but struggle on low. Intel core2duo E8400 3ghz 4GB DDR3 GTX 260 1920x1200 High : 50-80 FPS Low: 25-35 FPS
  4. You can be forced to. Lets say you kid falls and hits his head and starts crying, do you play through the WZ before you see to him? Doorbell rings, do you just ignore it? +++
  5. It does for me, most of the time though is rigging the crane up to hold the monster. But yeah, if the OP is right and you get kicked in under 3 minutes thats a problem. Many things can force you to suddenly go afk for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Toms hardware SW:tor test http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/star-wars-gaming-tests-review,3087-5.html
  7. Don't know what Tor is programmed in. But I know CCP was limited by the fastest cores available since they used Pyton, and thus could not assign more than 1 core per solar system. So they could not use say 4 cores to run Jita, they just had to assign one of their fastest cores.
  8. Thats not the problem, the problem is you'll be max level when you're only half way through the content. Should have been Level 60 or 65 to keep you leveling through the story content. But better than the other way around, running out of content half way to max
  9. Intel Core2 Duo E8400 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz GTX 260 868MB Low settings: 25-35 FPS High settings: 50-80 FPS Something is wrong with the low texures or something, making low settings hog resources. My only explaination.
  10. Its not 8 cores, its 4 cores with hyperthreading.
  11. Will this work? I tried to buy the deluxe DD 7/24 but was sold out. Now a friend bought the Deluxe version just a few days ago, so either they made more deluxe available or its coz of cancelations. Anyway I'm buying a friend of mine SW:Tor as a early X-mas present (I trust him 100% with my CC info), I had him make an account, and now he is about to buy the game (with my cc info). Can I have him buy the deluxe version (if available now) and I register his deluxe key and he register my std code, or are they autolinked? Will my upgrade plan work, or will he just get a very nice X-mas present?
  12. From what I have seen from ppls posts the game likes Intel CPU's and Nvidia GPU's best.
  13. Core2duo E8400 4GB DDR3 ram GTX 260 1920x1200 On low settings: 25-35 FPS on High settings: 50-80 FPS ( upto 100 when standing still) Not a mistype, I get over twice the performance on High settings, than on low. Think there is something wrong with the low textures. See others report higher performance on high aswell.
  14. Logged into my account on Origin and didn't like this: Pending Orders No pending orders... Current Orders No current orders... Past Orders No past orders... I am in early access and pre-ordered 7/24. I have also regged other games I bought on steam there, like dragon age and Mass effect. I can understand they don't show up there, but I bought Tor directly through Origin.
  15. What setting do you use. I have a outdated puter, but it runs the game alot better on high settings than low, and I see others report the same. Low settings : 25-35 FPS High settings: 50-80 FPS (upto 100 when standing still) Core2duo E8400 3Ghz GTX 260 868 MB 4GB DDR3 ram 2x 500GB in raid 0 (OS) 4x 1TB in raid 5 (game, storage)
  16. Thats a great idea. Will really help balance out the numbers on PvP servers.
  17. From what I've read lots of people canceled their pre-orders. But their EA codes are still active. So there will probably we less people on the 22nd than at the 20th. Then a new boost of players after the X-mas presents have been opened.
  18. Tor got it's first kill 8 hours 47 minutes ago, when it killed SWG. I was there for the end. "You will be disconnected in 30 seconds in preparation for the final save" "Connection to server lost"
  19. Watch gamespots livestream of SWG ending while you wait in que. http://www.gamespot.com/shows/now-playing/?event=farewell_star_wars_galaxies20111215
  20. Starsider keeps crashing so I guess I have to just watch the livestream starting in 2 minutes. RIP SWG http://www.gamespot.com/shows/now-playing/?event=farewell_star_wars_galaxies20111215
  21. As a reference SWG had a server cap of 5k. Probably something like that here too.
  22. Try high settings. Know it sounds wierd. But I have 50-80 FPS on high, but only 25-35 on low. However your GFX card sucks. its 6 generations old.
  23. Its called return and you find it under media --> trailers on this site. You have probably already seen it before.
  24. The wierd thing is it runs better on high then low setting. For me: Low setting: 25-35 FPS High setting 50-80 FPS Makes no sense.
