  1. The reward is that warm fuzzy feeling your a bonified carebear saint. Dont like it... well join the dark side where you can remind people of your awesome power by your demonic stare and random acts of violence. Your actual rewards are in the legacy system - feel free to look them up along with the alignment restricted items. Otherwise: Feel free to point out examples of light side corruption. I eagerly look forward to seeing glow in the dark Jedi with magical auras... which is totally in keeping with lightside physical symptoms. Some how I think you missed the point of what corruption really is and why the Dark Side has it's effects. Pro-Tip: Han Solo wasnt a Jedi and he was not a saint P.S Han shot first.
  2. For housing - LOTRO was limited by the fact your on a single map / planet. With Star Wars - A Guild house can literally be a mobile capital ship sitting in the fleet. The player house can then be a smaller capital ship. Dosent require coding in new neigbourhoods or freeing up space on planets. Choose a ship, then design the layout and allow it to be customised. Throw in added features like getting crew, special bonuses and sending it on missions. Suddenly you have a whole new element to the game. Space missions that have you using a capital ship as a guild raid or something or just solo would be an excellent expansion.
  3. Legendary items - Make them Legacy items Items passed down through the family that gets more powerful the more you use it would be rather interesting. Only way to really do that would be to make them oranges that gain experience as you earn it which causes them to get item bonuses like sets. Player gets to choose the bonuses that are applied. However the bonuses would need to be generic stat boosts that can work for every class.
  4. Actually... your companions ARE taken into account with the tree even if it is unintentional on Bioware's part. Only your characters appear on your legacy which makes sense because its the family name thats being tracked. The only real issue with the legacy system is the inability to have two characters on the tree be the parents of one child. Otherwise... the assumption is obviously your single character has had a child with an off-screen character or their romanced companion. The game story is designed so your meant to romance one of your companions and eventually marry them. As such having only one parent show up on the tree makes sense. Multiple characters 'marrying' to be the parents of a character was clearly not intended.
  5. The server he is on is PVE, so well done posters who are too stupid to even get that right before tapping on their keyboards. If your on a PVP server then yes - Fair Game with a solution to prevent it If your on a PVE server then no - No solution to prevent it AND its abuse of game mechanics The Republic players abused the mechanics of the Boss to kill the other group so they could then steal the boss kill for themselves. Thats not PVP and there is really no way to defend against it. Easy solution - Once a mob has been tagged damage and abilities from anyone outside the group will have no effect on the target. Bonus - make repeated attacks on a tagged mob cause damage to the attacker. Same concept as the Eternity Vault fight which prevents others from getting involved in a fight of destiny blah blah. TADA - Pulling this stunt with world bosses or anything else becomes impossible.
  6. Auto Repeat - No Chance Being able to queue gathering missons = much better. You can already queue 5 items for crafting so doing that for gathering would streamline things extremely well. Instead of getting annoyed at Khem or Qzen spamming you every 3 mins you can have them come back in 15 mins. At max crafting you would end up with it taking hours for them to come back which is more than acceptable to keep them away and give you time to go do stuff uninterrupted.
  7. The list of things that could be useful is huge: Swift Travel - Instead of traveling on a speeder taxi the whole route... fade in and fade out Taxi Travel - Able to jump off mid-route Variety of cosmetic outfits - Check Appearance tabs - Check Legacy items - Would be kinda more fitting for Legacy rewards Family Trees - Adding other players to the trees Player / Guild Housing - Check Crafting - Being able to make cosmetic stuff for houses like furniture etc. Shared storage - BRILLIANT Player music - Check Barber - Change character hair, makeup Summoning - Teleport group members to start of heroic areas. FPs or instances
  8. Your reward is looking normal... what do you expect... bunnies dancing around you and magic rainbows in your footsteps ? Dark side corrupts the users turning them into unnatural looking individuals Light side is all about being in balance and natural... so whats more natural than looking normal ? It makes no sense for lightsiders to get anything except that warm fuzzy feeling your a good guy. Pro-Tip: Good guys shouldnt be vain... thats a Dark Side thing.
  9. Tragic as it may be.... shall we be making Memorials to everyone that dies on every server ? There is a clear seperation between role-play and reality which needs to be maintained and this crosses that. If you want to have your own personal memorial social event in game - noone would really stop you with that Asking Bioware to get involved by making game changes which would affect EVERY server is too much.
  10. I have a suggestion: Get a clue I have 4 characters and personnally crafted my own armor, mods, guns, barrels and implants. 1 of those characters is level 50 The other three arent even past act 1. Tell me again how crafting is useless ? As for your 'idea' How to make Legacy gear useful: Step one - Remove all the vendors, items etc. Step two - Make every item on the store one orange set with augment slot Step three - Apply a fixed complete set bonus such as XP boost Step four - Make one vendor that sells the sets available at level 10 Step five - Make another vendor that sells mods, barrels, crystals, enhancements and hilts to be slotted into that set Step six - Make these special mods that level with the character but only stay levelled to blue quality mods, can only be put in the set oranges Result - Perfect leveling set that offers enhanced XP gain at the expense of lesser stats compared to purple quality items with players able to choose what mods they slot in to get the basic stats they need. One armor set that looks basic and can be worn by all the classes. (CE style trooper armor for example) Three seperate sets for Light / Medium / Heavy. That will get you items that are of use and reasonably balanced for the current costs.
  11. Wont happen - it would result in people dying when they go out without a companion because they are all busy on 30 min missions. Yes... people are that stupid. That said, the better option would be allow remote management of other characters companions tied to legacy. Thus while your playing your Bounty Hunter you can have your Imperial Agent, Sith Sorc, Marauder companions off doing missions. Thus you effectively can have 20 companions doing missions vs 5. Or... 40 companions if you include cross faction companions Note: This would be those companions doing missions for YOU... thus they can do YOUR crafting skill missions. Suddenly those companions that have bonuses in non character crew skills can be of use doing that crew skill for another character.
  12. You would get more traction if you asked for it to be added to the VIP vendor that way anyone can access the new stuff rather than being limited to individuals that means nothing to Bioware now. Yes, thats right you mean nothing to them, You paid them to get a statue, book, key and and trinkets, that was your reward. Dont like it ? Tough End of Story. New content will naturally be made to cater to the majority as such it goes on the VIP vendor... or not at all. CE buyers were idiot adopters that spent way too much to get little in return. Anyone with a functional brain would have seen that coming. If you didnt... well your what Bioware were aiming for anyway. For all those rage CE posters that are about to whine like children: As for the VIP Vendor - I would make the whole VIP area into a large mall with NPCs that sell stuff from around the game. I.E Social Vendor - Sells all the social sets from every planet Light Armor - Sells all the light sets from every planet Medium Armor - Sells all the medium sets from every planet Heavy Armor - Sells all the heavy sets from every planet Weapons - Sells all the orange weapons from every planet Legacy Stores - Seriously... the fleets are the hub of the galaxy with everything else so why wouldnt you put legacy stores here as well... ? Overall idea - Put lots of vendors up there that sell the rare stuff in one convienient location that you either need a CE version for or cough up 1 million for the badge. TADA - Suddenly worth it with very little effort required. Cue whining in 3..2...1.. Not the sets you get with commedations or from rare drops, just the ones that you get from the actual vendors. I.E The stuff you can buy for raw credits as soon as you hit the planet like speciality items.
  13. So I did answer your question afterall... welcome to the bandwagon.
  14. The sets are just generic rubbish. What did you expect from Bioware ? Take a look at existing sets and the complaints... fairly obvious that a Wookie would know more about fashion than them.
  15. The current mechanics lower their aggro range if they are grey but if you stick around they will eventually go for you. LOTRO has a rather nice system for aggro, some enemies will 'warn' you before they attack which is limited mostly to animals. The combination of shying away, ignoring and warning players would improve things.
  16. woooh they reduced the repair bills from 80k to 30k... this is relevant how exactly ? Legacy gear is woefully garbage beyond belief and then its charged at insane prices. but its totally a bargain price - except you can get social armor or basic oranges from 2k - 20k. Christ even the VIP Collectors armor costs 20k a pop but we can totally transfer it to other characters - except its class bound so unless you make the exact same class THAT is pointless but its an orange item - except your most basic crafters can make something better quicker and cheaper but it looks so pretty - Uh huh, the cosmetic look is abysmal even with Biowares trend to make awful sets this is just beyond even that. but the blues are totally worth it - Again, crafted items beat it and drops will surpass those blues before you even reach the next level. Except everything comes easier than this gear and is better... are you going to continue with your stupidity being displayed here or do you just not getting the issues through your head ? Maybe you want to spend 1 million on a set of items that look garbage, have weaker stats and have no longevity but I suspect most people would consider the effort being put into acquire things should be equally rewarded. In this situation the cost vs. gain is woefully pathetic. In their current form these oranges should be sitting at prices equal to existing gear, not 100k per piece.
  17. Incorrect: Orange gear is meant to be actually useable. With the implementation of Augmentation slots all orange gear that dosent have that slot is inferior. As a result: Paying 100k per piece of Legacy gear is woefully stupid when you could buy or make Augmented Oranges that will last you from level 10 - 50 and be superior.
  18. It looks garbage, has rubbish stats and is surpassed by gear you will get anyway. The amount of money you will pay to get that Legacy gear will sustain you with greens / blues or even Augmented crafted items. Legacy gear is worthless dont bother with it. End of Story.
  19. Not gonna happen... However... a queue system for missions would be sensible. Instead of getting 3 min pop ups just stack the missions like you can do with crafting to a maximum of 5. As a result - Players can essentially have their companions out for 5 level 5 / 6 missions which is a faily long period of time
  20. I would actually go beyond the 16 limit per server but heavily mediate it by: Step one: Player must make 8 Characters and get them to 50 - Unlocks 8 more Slots Step two: Player must make 8 more Characters and get them to 50 - Unlocks 1 Slot Step Three: Player gets that Character to 50 - Unlocks 1 Slot = Repeat as necesary If you really want to make things interesting - Step Three characters become 'hardmode' with reduced XP amounts, rewards and death penalties but offset by having stronger abilities. Essentially the same kind of system Diablo 2 had with Normal / Nightmare / Hell.
  21. Agreed - visual display that shows we already own the schematic Alternatively - Make it possible to use the same schematic over and over again and doing so IMPROVES the schematic we already own. I.E Have a chance to get the blues, purples etc. AND /or go even further by lowering the cost of crafting the more schematics you acquire. Thus getting schematics would have a diminishing return on lowering the mats required to craft the item but it makes schematics constantly useful and maintain a good market for them.
  22. Legacy Bank Account would be more sensible. That way your essentially buying a joint account for 8 characters. Throw in companions dumping crew skill returns into that account when you get it and it would be extremely useful. Instead of jumping between your characters to access shared resources just dump it in the legacy bank and allow EVERY CHARACTER to use them. The next obvious Legacy ability would be remote access to other character companions so you can send up to 40 companions on missions.
  23. Events by definition are short and sweet, that said. This event could remain in a reduced form... like keeping some of the NPCs around but removing the infection and quests related. Thus the events are short and sweet but leave behind a little more content on worlds. Alternatively, keep the infection permanant but have it shifting from world to world randomly with one or two quests left over.
  24. Make the ship version link to Republic, Empire AND the Neutral = Suddenly it becomes extremely worth while. However Bioware are becoming increasingly incompetant and abysmal at doing things so you have no chance of it happening.
  25. Remove slicing and be done with it. Stupid profession that has done nothing but cause problems from the beginning. Merge Slicing with another crew skill... investigation or underworld trading. Removing augments AND doing this nerf to the income amounts just means its beyond stupid to exist. Slicing was originally supposed to be a crew skill that allow people with no interest in crafting to choose something that earnt raw cash to buy what they want. Well... now its just a net loss crew skill which is better replaced by just taking Biochem / Archelogy / Scavenging or 3 mission skills.
