  1. LOTRO had a good crafting system. It is still challenging to become a master for each tier. Takes a long time that is. But it's worth it. I actually was able to make lots of money.
  2. I have recently sold some items on the GTN. However, in the mail I received, there was no indication about which item I sold. Only the amount of credits received hinted to me that it was the advanced might hilt 21 that got sold. However, the item name or picture is not shown in the mail notification. It would be useful if it was. Thanks
  3. I played in Landroval. My toon was an elven woman named Alaneil. I used to hang out in Bree inn to RP
  4. I have to admit that the appearance tab, the skirmishes and the music system are three things that would work really well in TOR. I'd really like the idea of skirmishes. Would be like mini-flashpoints This would also be great for endgame content. Yes, more work is needed to please RPers. Specific color on nameplate for people that are doing RP, more social things would be good.
  5. Did anyone else playing this game has played LOTRO before? If yes are there any features that you have seen in LOTRO that you would like to see implemented in TOR. Some examples come to mind like, talents, no aggro on mobs 10 levels lower than you, the great LFG channel, the Roll/Pass loot system (this one is a favorite of mine). I'm just curious what are other people's thoughts. Cheers
  6. shoot them for what purpose? It's not like i'll receive xp or something. I forgot the warn system in LOTRO...that too was good. I agree, a combination of shying away, ignoring and warning players would make it better. Especially when you are on mount.
  7. Exactly, I don't want to accept an operation or a heroic quest. But in order to find out it is one, I have to sit through all the dialogue and then abandon the quest. It would save me time if I knew this is a group quest from the beginning. Also, if it is of the appropriate level.
  8. LOTRO had it and it worked pretty well. You'd need to attack them in order for them to see you as threat.
  9. Another Idea that I have comes from another MMO that I played which I found weird that it's not implemented in TOR. Or if it is I didn't see it. But at level 50, I was shocked to see that on Dromund Kaas, the level 10 mobs attacked me on sight. I think its very annoying as fighting them is a waste of my time. I think that if you are 10 levels above (and beyond) a mob, he/she/it should appear grey to you and therefore you should not aggro that mob. It's the simplest mechanism really. And it will be much easier to roam around past planets or during end game.
  10. Today , 05:33 PM | #1 EDIT REPORT POST QUOTE I have been playing since launch and I am still having a blast with this game...its awesome. Anyways, i have thought of an idea to help players identify the type of quest an NPC will give you. For example, a little triangle on top of a person indicates that they have a quest for you. However, you have no idea (until you talk to the person and see the quest name saying Heroics, flashpoint or the sort) what type of quest he will give you. My idea is that an NPC that will give you a flashpoint for example could have an exclamation mark inside the triangle icon. Therefore, before talking to him, you would know he's going to give you a flashpoint quest. For heroics, you could have another symbol inside the triangle..and so on. Normal quests will just be the triangle obviously (like planet side quests). A different symbol for flashpoint, operations, heroics would be really nice. Also, on another thread someone mentioned something interesting. Depending on your level, the triangle should be of different colors so you immediately recognize even before talking to the NPC if the quest is of your level, or lower or higher. What do you guys think?
  11. ok I didn't know it was suggested before. Also, I have met many many droids that give regular missions. Also, for people playing for the first time or different sides (republic/Empire) this could be useful. Also, you don't know that the mission is a heroics mission until after the cutscene. So yes, I think that it would be very useful to have different icons for different types of missions.

  14. to the OP...it's called getting old...get over it. I used to play a lot as well, but now I can't play for more than 1-2 hours a day. Some days i don't play at all. I really enjoy TOR but other responsibilities keep me away from it sometimes. I play around 10 hours a week at the most and that is ok by me. I probably won't hit level 50 before 1-2 years of gameplay but I don't care. I enjoy the small hours I put in it and that is what counts. But in general, as I grew older, I reduced my play times more and more....we're getting old that's all.
