  2. This is a really great live event, I love it... I can understand low players having trouble affording the antidote. But level 50 players have no reason to complain about getting the 2,000 credits needed. All you have to do is go do 1 daily mission and you will get 10,000 credits, enough for almost 5 antidotes.
  3. I voted for 3D space battles. I would also love to see Swoop Racing... For nostalgia, here is Brejik's Run on Taris from KoToR: (racing is at 4:35) Not only would singles racing be fun (and make it ranked), but it'd be fun to have group racing as well. Singles ought to be on a thin course like shown in the video. Whereas group racing would probably be on an "open" course, kinda like the podracing of the Boonta Eve Classic. It would all be "on a rail" though, like the original swoop racing. Maybe also have swoop "racing" where you can kill/eliminate your enemies by bumping and ramming them like in SotE: http://youtu.be/Vb0CjFDy5JA

  5. I think it'd be best if player housing were instanced somehow, and not quite like SWG. They could also put housing on our specific faction planets like Dromund Kaas and Coruscant. What might be cool, is that while they could instance the housing, there would be multiple apartments. For example on Coruscant... You would go to a vendor which sells deeds on apartments. These would be: Residential District Apartment ($100,000 credits) -This apartment is located in the undercity, a dark, dingy part of Coruscant. It is the smallest of the apartments and has no real impressive views. Temple Precinct Apartment ($500,000 credits) -This is also a relatively small apartment located near the Jedi Temple, which is in ruins. Its "Jedi" themed, with a meditation chamber and Jedi artifacts scattered about. Corellian District Apartment ($500,000 credits) -This apartment is fitting for a smuggler or trooper, and is about the same size as the Temple Precinct Apartment. Senate District Apartment ($2,000,000 credits) -This is the biggest, most prestigious apartment and is also at the highest elevation, providing beautiful panoramic views of Coruscant. Its theme is much like that of the Senate Building itself, lavish and ornate. In this setup, you have a small apartment that is relatively affordable, for everyone. Two apartments that are medium sized but are themed (or can be themed) for each profession. Knights/Consular's for the Temple Precinct Apartment, and Trooper/Smuggler for the Corellian District Apartment. The absolute largest, most lavish apartment is the Senate District Apartment, which also has the absolute best views. That is just an example for Republic. The Imperials would get their own setup like it on Dromund Kaas. Each one of these is instanced for your character, like your ship. They also have their own storage, and you can purchase or earn decorations for them. (though these decorations may be preset, not movable)
  6. They've already revealed a lot of what they want to do in interviews, dispatches, posts and at the Guild Summit. I just hadn't yet seen this come up.
  7. That really doesn't make a lot of sense. They aren't doing micro-transactions, and aren't making us pay for big additions like 1.2... I think it makes much more sense to tie it into legacy, why? Because you have to play a lot more to get that legacy rank and the credits, and you will probably play even more to level that new character up.
  8. This has probably already been discussed, but I think it'd be nice to see, with this new legacy system, the ability to attain and purchase more character slots as you gain legacy rank. Here is how I see it... For those of us who are very dedicated to the legacy system, and to playing multiple alts, I would love to see some way for us to possibly expand our legacy further by adding 1-3 more character slots with purchases. The purchase would have to be somewhat expensive, and at a pretty high legacy level. Also, if Bioware were to ever add new classes, I would assume they may choose to add character slots, I think the legacy character slots ought to be independent and added on top of the base slots, whether that is the current 8 or any future increases.

  10. Huh? I've been playing SWTOR since Beta, and since Early Access... The forums here really aren't worth anything, they are exactly like every other MMO that has ever existed, full of whining and complaints. I like to come on here to see the constructive things, and to maybe try to contribute some ideas to discussions, but I spend the vast majority of my time in game. Currently I have 1 level 50, 1 Level 28, 1 Level 19, 1 Level 18, 2 Level 10s and a Level 1... I'm trying to get my level 28 up, but I'm playing him casually and enjoying the storyline. I don't play my level 50 as much except for raids and the occasional PvP, but the PvP is frustrating at the moment since all rewards require winning a game, and I'm on a server where the Republic is typically outnumbered 2:1 most of the time. I'll PvP a lot more once 1.2 comes out and I can join guildies in an 8 man group and don't have to focus so intensely on winning, but just having fun.

So is he fighting Darth Sidious in the Star Wars Universe, or the Mortal Kombat one? We can assume he will still be immortal, but loses control over lighting if he enters the SW Universe. Technically, he would/could still win, because although he loses control over lighting, he'd still be immortal. He would win hands down in Earthrealm...
  12. I remember that we (Rebs & Imps) would purposely, during battles, try to crash the whole server to prevent a base from being lost. It was actually kinda fun because you could tell when the server was on the edge. You would have a battle with already too many people and you would gradually get more instability, more rubber banding, more lag, then bam, everyone is disconnected... lol Yes, SWG had a lot of bug problems that I definitely do remember. It has some problems with it to, but it's biggest problem was simply SOE and Lucasarts, and the CU/NGE changes. That is simply what doomed it.
  13. I just don't see these bugs people talk about on here. Maybe I'm lucky, but I just really have not seen a multitude of bugs since Beta. At least nothing major that would cause me to say "its broken". Also, I'm interested to see how many people that are on here complaining actually read/watch the various videos released by Bioware, or watch the videos from the Guild Summit, or the variety of Podcasts which have had Bioware Employees interviewed. From what I saw from the Guild Summit videos, as well as all the interviews, dispatches, releases etc... I'm very positive and optimistic about this game. People just want to complain. Complaining is okay, and bug reports are fine. Dealing with real issues and bringing them up in a constructive way is okay. But some of the way people are dealing with this and trying to burn Bioware at the stake is simply irrational, whether its on the SWTOR Forums, Reddit or elsewhere.
  14. This game won't die... It had a stronger start than most, and lets face it, it's Star Wars... I think there are some haters out there who actually want it to die so they can be proven "right". The same people wanted SWG to die, and Vanguard to die, and Conan to die, and Warhammer to die, and Fallen Earth to die, and Aion to die. The same people will eventually want Guild Wars 2 to die, and Diablo to die. Those same people will never ever be happy. They simply refuse to enjoy the good things any of these games have to offer, because they want what they want, even if they get it, they will still want more and will still complain.
  15. Really? Do you happen to know me? I don't think you do... Yes, I played Pre-CU and Pre-NGE, as well as Post-NGE. SWG and WWIIOL were two of the best MMOs I have ever played. But frankly, SWTOR is better than SWG. SWG just was not that "Star Warsy" to be truly honest. A lot of the problem was with the fact that they didn't really have a lot of freedom due to the intersection with a lot of canon. They couldn't do as Bioware can because they had to respect the Star Wars canon that was in place around the galaxy. I absolutely loved the crafting and the housing, the combat, the PvP, everything. I do miss the space combat and the housing. But while I did love those things, I don't expect other video games to replicate them or try to be like SWG. Too many people out there are doing this. Whatever game you play, just take it for what it is, and try to enjoy it. There are SOOOO many MMO players out there that are jumping between MMOs constantly... Like SWG to Vanguard, Vanguard to Conan, Conan to Warhammer, Warhammer to Aion, and now it may be SWTOR to Guild Wars II, Guild Wars II to Diablo... You can think of many MMO players as someone how keeps sleeping around with all these partners, never being satisfied, never able to fill the void in their heart, never being able to find real love. Yet their pattern (jumping from one to the other) is actually part of the problem. Too many people hyped up this game beyond what they should have, and people need to quit with the "WoW killing" stuff. Why can't we just have MMOs, and take them for what the developers make them rather than trying to build them up to fit our expectations? Many people complain about the lack of "end game" content for SWTOR. Many others complain about the PvP in this game... Yet they absolutely ignore the intent of Bioware. They have even said that they intended for you, once you reach level 50 in one character, to play another character and enjoy that storyline. You have 8 storylines, and 8 character slots you can play. That is a tremendous amount of content that many people just simply don't "want" to enjoy because they want what they want and they want it now. Coming in, everyone should have known things like PvP would be secondary to story and PvE. Did Bioware's years of hyping "Story, Story, Story" not teach you anything about what the game was going to be? Did you never play or even research what KoTOR and other Bioware games are like? In SWG, you were a dime a dozen, you weren't really anything. The main characters of the Trilogy never really did anything significant other than just stand there. You really didn't interact with them. The only time you ever got to fight them was during special events. Our guild nearly killed a developer playing as Darth Vader, and that was a lot of fun, but it took a ton of players to pull something like that off. I really didn't ever feel like my character was really special, or really mattered... I won't spoil anything in the storyline for SWTOR, but Bioware has you intersect with major characters in a big way, that makes a big difference in making SWTOR a lot of fun to play. People whined about SWG, they whined about Vanguard, they whined about Conan, they whined about Aion, they whined about Warhammer, they whine about SWTOR... Guess what? They will whine about Guild Wars 2, and they'll whine about Diablo... They will never be happy... Do you think the problem lays with the developers? Or do you think the problem lays with you/us? If someone gets upset at the people in one town, and moves to another, and gets upset at them and moves to another, and then another. Is the problem the people in those towns? Or is the real problem with that person who keeps getting upset at others?
  16. I have to say, as much as I loved Pre-NGE/Pre-CU SWG, I've had more fun playing SWTOR than I did in SWG. Its been far more immersive and closer to the Star Wars "feeling"... Ultimately, I'm a Star Wars fan, I've played other MMOs, but frankly, none of them were this fun. For me, its not about the ultimate PvP experience, or whatever, its about Star Wars. SWTOR delivers Star Wars far better than SWG... One can simply judge this as yet another MMO, and you'd see its very similar to others. What sets this apart is that it is Star Wars, and especially the story. This will probably (most likely) be my final MMO, and the only one I really dedicate myself to from here on out. I will play it casually and simply enjoy it.
  17. Why not a pushback in the legacy system or only with a companion pulled? I don't see a need for another KD/Pushback in PvP. This would be helpful in PvE, but we are also DPS, so we are kind of designed to kill everything in sight rather than pushing them off edges.
  18. I feel like I haven't been doing as much DPS as I should be. During PvP, I also find a lot of difficulty in focusing on a single target, especially when they start running around amongst all the other players, and I cannot see that tiny arrow above their body. I am combat focused with only 1 point in Steadfast, 1 in Defensive roll, 0 in Temperance. With 3 Focused Slash in the Watchman tree, and 2 in Master Focus and 2 in Stagger in the Focus tree. I currently have the following gear for PvP: Centurion Weaponmaster's Headgear Champion Weaponmaster's Vest Centurion Weaponmaster's Gloves Champion Weaponmaster's Waistcord Champion Weaponmaster's Leggings Centurion Weaponmaster's Boots Champion Weaponmaster's Device Centurion Weaponmaster's Package Centurion Weaponmaster's Implant Centurion Weaponmaster's Bracers Relic of Boundless Ages Relic of Forbidden Secrets Champion Vindicator's Lightsaber Champion Weaponmaster's Offhand Saber My PvP stats are as follows: Strength: 1160 Presence: 255 Aim: 80 Cunning: 80 Endurance: 1302 Willpower: 130 Expertise: 514 Melee DMG (Prim.): 623-774 Melee DMG (Sec.): 199-299 Bonus DMG: 321.4 Acc.: 104.37% Crit. Chance: 21.3% Critical Multiplier: 50% Health: 15,520 Armor Rating: 3,320 DMG Red.: 23.51% Defense Chance: 5% My current rotation for both PvP and PvE is as follows: Force Leap in Zealous Strike Precision Slash Blade Rush Blade Storm Master Strike Then usually if I'm still alive, I try to hit Zen, then go Precision Slash + Blade Rush (repeated until out of focus) This is a much easier rotation to do during PvE battles since the NPCs are stationary, but a lot of these moves are extremely difficult to coordinate while chasing the target when he is running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Usually if I'm facing a Sith Sorc. or another healer, I try to get Crippling Throw off immediately and regularly while trying to interrupt their heals. I'm not able to do over 100k damage in a Warzone, and I feel like in PvE I'm not hitting hard enough. The PvE gear I have is as follows: Tionese Weaponmaster's Headgear Columi Weaponmaster's Vest Columi Weaponmaster's Gloves Columi Weaponmaster's Leggings Columi Weaponmaster's Boots Tionese Weaponmaster's Bracers Does anyone have any advice for me? I just feel like I'm not hitting as hard or being as effective as I can be, especially in PvP.
  19. All the little kids decided it was cooler to play evil. In an effort to be cool, they all just became the norm, fad followers and nobodies. Numbers should be more balanced, but they aren't, and it is the job of the Republic players to actually come up with better tactics to beat the hordes of Imperial players. There is nothing impressive about being a part of a huge gank mob that kills 5 enemy players when you have 20.
  20. LOL not a single person? Hmm.... I was on Ilum last night and take a guess as to what was happening? PVP! Idiots weren't just camping the Central Assault point, the Republic Players were gathering en masse in the Republic Stronghold and the Imperial players assaulted the Republic base (obviously staying out of range of the turrets) and we had a very fun fight of appx. 16 on 16... I was extremely impressed at what I saw there. Instead of just going to the central point and getting the armaments (or whatever), you could just fight the enemy for your daily's. It was a lot of fun, we would push the Imperials back, then they would counter-attack. It is what is called PvP... The stuff that went on before the patch was not PvP... Sitting there staring at the enemy while you flip the Assault Point is not PvP.
  21. Maybe add fortresses to each planet, these wouldn't be player made but could encourage more open world PvP. (of course, do something else to encourage it) I'm thinking back to SWG and how players could place bases around planets, which contributed to planetary control, etc... But instead of being player placed, they would be static and could be located in certain places for immersion instead of just fighting in a field somewhere. Maybe do something where every once and a while, you can battle for a piece of property on the map. Such as an Imperial raid of Anchorhead.
  22. i agree, this is a good idea. This is something that many other MMO's have that is pretty useful. Though obviously some cost should come with it, because you are paying for the convenience of staying in the field to fight rather than running back to a vendor to repair.
  23. They could also add a buff in Warzones if one side is pretty far ahead, such as in the overall points in Alderaan, or in the Huttball points. The losing side could receive a "Rally" buff to help possibly even the odds, whereas the winning side could receive a "Overconfidence" "buff" that would somewhat decrease stats temporarily. However it would only serve to decrease the gap, not even it out. (like if Republic is still at 300 on Alderaan, and Imperials are only at 150, it would give Imps a buff to help, and the Repubs a buff to hurt)
  24. One MMO I know of, while its not an MMORPG, actually turns up the "queue" and "spawn" rate for a side that is overpopulated. This works because its a war simulation rather than an MMO, but a similar idea could be implemented. They could increase the respawn timers for the overpopulated side. Decrease the amount of commendations per kill for the overpopulated side. Or something else along those lines. You could either make it based on server wide population, or just the local planet population. If one side is significantly overpop'd on the server, then that side would receive an increase in spawn times in warzones. If one side is significantly overpop'd on a planet, then that side would receive an increase in PvP spawn times. (that is, if killed by another player, then their time is increased)
