  1. Since when have you known people to not exploit a reward system? Valor on Ilum anyone? Valor is not a requirement yet people abused the living crap out of that system. If you gain something from it people will focus on that instead of what they are supposed to do. Just because its a reward does not remove the exploitation out of it. You are forgetting who we are dealing with here. Some of the same people that get 1 medal so they get points, then guard a node, or hide behind a box afk or something to that effect. Requirement or reward people will exploit it. And if it means interrupting something or getting out of the fire like a previous poster put, they will eat that spell or the fire for that extra reward. Interrupting a spell will not gain them a reward, nor will getting out of fire. Now come up with a reward system for doing those things, then maybe you have something. You shouldnt get medals for things you are supposed to do. Have people thinking instead of afking, now that would be something.
  2. If you dont take abilities that would directly impact your survivability in pvp then dont complain about survivability lol. Wow, I mean thats like complaining about your ankle hurting while your walking on it and refusing to get a cast on it.....you complain about something you can affect directly with. And if I had an ability to lower the cd of a self heal and had a root removal ability that was not my trinket like cd, I would take that in a ****in heart beat, are you kidding me? Yeah, I can break out of a root if im on a burner or about to get to a med pack or about to interrupt someone from capping a node.....but thats not important enough to take cause having utility and helping out my ranked team isnt as important as my numbers are. And honestly I would trade enure for adrenaline rush any day. Why you might ask? Because Enure is borrowed health, once the effect is up the added health is gone. Its not permanent. And the 8% heal from guardian leap is nice, I forgot about that one and I will concede that self heals would be about even then. Sure, we can change stance instantly, and we can build singularity during a switch, but our focus is reset to zero. It would effectively render us moot for atleast a good 10 seconds to build up enough focus to do some dmg again, and our damage has been cut dramatically by being in soresu form from Single Saber Mastery which increases all our force attacks by 6%. Also the 20% armor pen thats static while in shii-cho form and the added 3% from the form itself. Balances out cause we can put a point somewhere else.....balances out? Really? What one thing does everyone try to increase the most for pvp? Why is it that people will buy more wh pieces when theyre full wh already? To increase their base stat. If you asked guardians if they wanted 3% more str or an extra talent point, I'm pretty sure it would be a resounding 3% increase to base stat. If I had the option to increase my base armor for pvp I would definitely do so. You also might ask why. Well, as we are all well aware armor is the only defensive mechanism that mitigates damage across the board to tech and force abilities which are the hardest hitting. The more you have the less dmg you take from those abilities. Again, it goes back to the ankle and not wearing a cast while walking on it and complaining it hurts lol. Maybe vanguards and powertechs are masochists in their own way and like to take more damage for some strange reason, but I know guardians dont, which is why we will change to soresu form if we need to to sacrifice our focus for survivability. We cant attack at the moment, but we may live longer for it.
  3. Focus Guardians are a one trick pony as it is. Take away that one trick, were just a sad pony with no tricks.
  4. I do understand that force leap has a 30 meter ranged, I mentioned that in my post, but it also has min range of 10 yards that I also mentioned. Since you dont read entire posts, let me illustrate the differences for you in a bit easier to read format. Self Heals Vanguard - Adrenaline Rush - 3 min cd - Restores 15% of maximum health over 10 seconds. Guardian - Focus'd Defense - 45 sec cd - Immediately reduces threat by a moderate amount. For 10 seconds, taking damage spends 1 Focus to heal you for 3% of your maximum health and reduce threat by a low amount. This effect cannot occur more than once every second. This ability can be used while stunned or otherwise controlled. Vanguard wins this one because a guardians heal is contingent on taking dmg and the fact that they have to have focus in order for it to work, not to mention it costs us focus to activate it as well. I know some might say well look at the difference in cd. Well Adrenaline Fueled has that covered with - Critical hits have a [50 / 100]% chance to reduce the active cooldown on Adrenaline Rush and Reserve Powercell by [3 seconds / 6 seconds]. This effect cannot occur more than once every 1.5 seconds. So that reduces the cd on that quite significantly. Moving on.... Damage Mitigation Vanguard - Reactive Shield - 2 min cd - Reduces all damage taken by 25% for 12 seconds. Guardian - Saber Ward - 3 min cd - Raises a lightsaber ward, increasing melee and ranged defense by 50% and reducing the damage taken from Force and tech attacks by 25%. Lasts 12 seconds. This one I would say is in the vanguards favor as well.. The 50% added defense on Saber Ward is nice and the first 2 seconds of it the defense is actually at 150%, but the vanguard gets help with this already low cd ability from Reflexive Shield - When you take damage, you have [50 / 100]% chance to reduce the active cooldown of Reactive Shield by [1.5 seconds / 3 seconds]. This effect cannot occur more than once every 1.5 seconds not to mention that this ability gets a bit of a bonus from Degauss - Reactive Shield has a [50 / 100]% chance to remove all movement-impairing effects when activated. There is no such luxury for guardians to lower the cd on Saber Ward nor a movement impairing removal of any sort other than the stock Resolute ability we get. On top of that, the dmg mit for Vanguards is 25% of everything, the 25% for guardian does not include elemental or internal dmg taken, which can be a significant factor when trying to survive. Increase in base stats Vanguard - Steely Resolve - Increases Aim by 3%/6%/9% Guardian - Perseverance - Increases total strength by 3%/6% This one is pretty self explanatory, obvious favor in vanguard. Stamina Increase Vanguard - Soldiers Endurance - Increases endurance by 1%/2%/3% Guardian - N/A Armor Rating Increase Vanguard - Rebraced Armor - Increases armor rating by 8%/16% Guardian - N/A So I think this simple illustration here makes it pretty clear who has the advantage on survivability and ability to stay in the game longer when it comes to Assault VG's and Focus Guardians. Not to mention that most of your hard hitting abilities have a much longer range than ours do, for example: Vanguard - High Impact Bolt - 10m range Vanguard - Ion Pulse - 10m range Guardian - Master Strike - 4m range Guardian - Force Sweep - 5m Range aoe After reviewing this, there should really be no argument as to who has the advantage here. Please feel free to debate any of the points I have illustrated. Thank you.
  5. I love watching vg's and pt's complain about defensive cd's and having to be in close quarters lol. You know there is a class and spec not unlike you guys thats a glass cannon as well. Its a focus guardian. We do have 2 ranged abilities that dont really have anything to do with our heavy hitting abilities. MS is 4 yrd range, sweep/smash has a 5 yrd range which sometimes it seems my dick has a bigger radius than the sweep does, and thats really about it. Now if a good player slows us they can keep us focus starved and we cant attack or get focus back which is super awesome if they stay just inside that 10 yrd range so we cant use Force Leap or Saber Throw and were too far away to use Sunder Strike or Strike or Stasis. Not only that but if they keep us at that range then we cant even attack anyways aside from Blade Storm provided we have the focus to use it. And they complain about defensive cd's and boo hoo ill have to play in melee.....we already do play in melee range and we wear heavy armor, and your cd's are waaaay better than ours. 15% of your health over 6 seconds regardless, and you have all kinds of abilities that lower the time on your cd's. Guardians dont. In focus spec we have Saber ward that has a 3 min cd which is *********** insane considering its crap, and Force Defense which uses 4 focus (2 if your specced into it in focus tree) and then proceeds to only grant health if you are attacked, and continues to take focus away from you to heal you for 3% of your health. If no one attacks you then you dont get healed, and its not for a percentage of the attack which would make more sense, its only 3%. So if a PT hits is with his god mode rail shot for 5k, we get about 533 hp, now thats what I call mitigation *thumbs up sarcastically* And not only that, its a waste of a cd considering focus is usually a focus starved class compared to the others anyways. TL;DR So to all the vg's and pt's complaining about any upcoming changes, play a guadian in pvp, and you will be more than happy to go back to your OP class in a new york minute. Because have have crap for cd's, no way to lower the cd time on them in any way, shape or form, our heal over time is contingent on taking dmg that uses focus after it uses a significant amount of focus just to activate it, we can be kited very easily considering our deadzone and no way to shrink it, we have to power up our heavy hitting abilities unlike you guys who are just use when you want, and we are in the same gear as you. So before you go complaining about a potential nerf, know that you will still have the advantage over guardians by a long shot.

    Complete bull ****!

Oh, my bad, i meant they got past the first set of doors at 4 min and then the bridges down at 2 min. I mispoke myself. But all in all thats a ****in fail mechanic if all you have to do is match, dont even have to beat them when ur defending first and attacking second. All you have to do is tie and time doesnt matter and you win. GG bioware, fail moar please so all my guildies go to GW2.

    Complete bull ****!

Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me Bioware? We were just playing a rwz voidstar, we get thru the first door and across the bridge with 5 minutes to go. They stopped us at the 2nd door, kudos to them, good defense. We play defense, they get the 2nd door at around 4 min, then they only get the bridges at 2 min......and they win....WHAT THE ****!?!?!?!?!?! What determines the win on that? I thought it was time capped on the door. I mean I can say a good game is a good game but when we clearly shoulda won then its bull $h!t. Complete and utter bull $h!t. I want an explanation on this now from someone that knows. This is *********** terrible mechanics. What is the GOD DAMN point of trying if no matter what time you get the bridge you win if you attack first and defend 2nd?????????????? Dont lose more subs bioware, address this and answer it! This is ****in crap!
  8. This game isnt meant for everyone, so if they did change it to the what everyone on this thread seems to deem a positive I think some people would leave because it would add some actual work to crafting. And someone said it would take weeks to find a good spawn, you are playing an mmo, the game itself is a huge time sink. I mean it seems like were all in a rush to no where. We are all on the treadmill chasing the carrot, why try to run faster when it doesnt matter? You want to make content obselete faster than it needs to be so you can come to the forums and say youre bored again? I dont get that type of game play. Hurry up, get to top level faster than everyone else, get the best gear faster than everyone else, beat all the content faster than everyone else. Time played 1 and a half months, now you're bored, gg. And things that take a while and are hard to find make the item all that more worth it and it keeps rare items, dare I say it, rare. I mean i know some people are lazy and dont want to work for things, but thats fine, play how you want and you wont have it. Then when someone walks by with something you want and you start to cry, you can then realize, oh....wait they worked for that and I have been sitting here on fleet telling people "u mad bro?" for 10 hours a day.
  9. See, this is exactly why the crafting system was good, because there were people that did like it and people that didnt. You could choose your profession. If you didn't like it then you would be the person to go out and kill mobs, do quests, things like that and sometimes come across some materials that crafters would need, sell it to them or trade, barter, what ever. It was completely a player based economy. But so far I have seen that some said they would hate it, so then crafting would obvioulsy not be for you. some said they absolutely loved it, so crafting would be for you. Saying that its horrible or awesome is opinion based and trying to say that your opinion is more over the general consensus is kind of ignorant and arrogant to say. Everyone has different things they like to do and adding a crafting system for those that liked it that was in depth. And they say it's a grind because it feels like it, not because it really is. If the quests were more in depth, if there was more to do, more travel, side games and side quests, people would love it. I played everquest for almost 4 years and that had a large following for a long time in its hayday. People loved playing it they loved the challenge and they loved the journey. All too often now people are done leveling in a matter of a month if that. Then its on to end game content which they are done with also in a month, so the average MMO lasts you about 2 months and then u start alts or you move onto pvp or try to make money or what have you. Why the rush to max level? Why does everyone have this need to sprint to the end only to be bored until new content comes out? I like to enjoy the game and explore. Now that is my opinion yes, but making a game give you content thats only really fresh for 2 months is not an MMO style, its more like a console game style. You buy it, play it for a bit, pvp for a few months, move on to the next one. If MMO's were like they were before, it would last much longer and have a much more loyal fan base. You wouldnt have all the impatient whiner trolls that like to harass people for no reason, but that would be a good thing. The lone troll would have no reason to play since they would need a guild and friends in order to achieve anything worth while in the game. This would improve the mmo community greatly and add richness and depth to a dying genre.
  10. With this game going free to play we dont have to worry about people unsubbing over stupid stuff so lets implement the swg crafting system. That was immersive, innovative and rewarding. I dont know why swtor didnt go with it. I heard nothing but good things about that crafting system. You think people want faster and easier? No, we don't. We will say we do, but deep down we really dont cause we dont actually work for anything. Oh, let me send out my companion to do something while i sit there with my thumb up my butt. Not only is that boring but it takes away from actually making something. We arent doing anything, its completely hands off for us. Make the mats worth while, make crafting the item itself worth while, and make the item worth while to people cause they had to work for it and wait for it. Not sure why all these game devs think we want easier, faster, quicker. We don't, we honest to God really don't want that. People love to make a big deal about how hard it was to do this or that. Make it rewarding again instead of being handed stuff and you will see a surge in player base, player happiness, and player involvement. Don't believe me? Watch general chat every once in a while. The kids growing up these days are really smart and intelligent, they want to be challenged, they want to have something worth the time invested. They want to show off their intellect and game prowess, not have to argue in gen chat why another player is bad or why someone should do this or not do this. Give us large group quests to help one person out for part of their epic quests, because everyone will have one and everyone will help because they will eventually need help, and it will cause a greater sense of community. Of course you will have *** hats that ask for help and never help anyone else, but if anyone thought there wouldnt be, then youre just being naive. Working toward something and showing that you did it caused people to respect you as a player cause you put in the time and had the skills and friends to get it done. Make it last a long time too. The only thing I needed help from my guildies in this game outside of a raid to do something was the +10 datacron, and that took all of an hour to set up, do and get it. Wow, team work for one whole hour....wow, I feel so connected now....-_- Do these things and I promise you will see positive changes and people coming back because there is something challenging and worth while to do. We want to be challenged, we want to work hard for something because of the feeling of accomplishment and achievement, saying look, I did that, I feel good about doing that and people congrats me for putting in the time to do so
  11. I think this would bring people to the game based on its originality and that it would be amazingly popular as people love to be in the spot light and love notoriety. Make an area on the fleet where you can duel, but also make a circular area just above the cantina that will showcase duels of any combination up to 3 players. You have to schedule time slots for it and people will get notices when its their turn to fight. When signing up you have to make sure your opponents team signs up as well and if they refuse to show then they forfeit the match. To make it another credit sink you can make it cost a fee, and the winner(s) will receive 50% of the winnings and the other half is the sink but we can say it goes to paying for the arena maintenance, announcer, and use for the facility. You can make it so there is an announcer like in huttball with generic commentating for the fights. make the elevators in the middle cantina serve another purpose, letting people get to their seats to watch the matches that are suspended above the below walking areas and ship door entrances. I think this would be super entertaining and an amazing option. I would definitely sign myself up for fun and watch as well. It would add a social aspect to the game, promote community and add something to the game that no other game has. It could be a reason for people to buy the game to come and see this new and innovative idea.
  12. They made that perfectly clear when a large portion of the subs left when at the last minute they announced that ranked warzones would not be in patch 1.2. They very well knew that ahead of time so a lot of people felt lied to and what kind of company lies to it's consumer's and thinks there will be no backlash. They had obviously not learned from the mistakes that other MMO's have made. The only thing I am disappointed about is that it took them 5 years to make....this. I have no faith in what they will create in the future based on their poor track record so far. I will play GW2 for a bit and then call it quits on MMO's all together. Gone are the days of EQ and vanilla wow where you felt like u were part of something. When you got a piece of gear you felt accomplished and you felt a certain connection to your character and the environment around you. The bulk of consumers think they know what they want, easier this, faster that, give me these and I'll be happy, but the reality is, it's a very temporary and fleeting sense of happiness cause there's no sense of accomplishment. I feel no attachment to my character in these games, it's just a grind that anyone can do. I remember grinding for my spear of fate in ever quest on my barbarian shaman, when I got it, i felt amazing. It took me a long time, but I did. And to those of you that would say, "but it takes too long, I dont have enough time, blah blah" when i played EQ I was in college, with a full time job during the week and a part time job on the weekends. I STILL found time to play, so if you are saying that you can't then you basically have a wife/gf that won't let you play and thats your problem or youre too lazy to actually put the time in, which is also your problem. It is sad that there will never be a game like those again where you were actually proud of what you did and people saw it and recognized it and respected you for putting the time in. It gave the game depth that recent MMO's have lost to try to satisfy the whiners that dont want to work for anything and then the devs think thats what everyone wants. Give us something that takes team work, effort, and time invested, and not a few days or even a few weeks, more like a few months. Make it worth while and epic and traveling involved, not quick ports to and fro so that there's no sense of journey. Sigh, I am just down about the state of MMO's and seeing what they have become and what they could have been. Sincerely, MMO Veteran, forgotten gamer
  13. Any chance of this space mission coming down to a level that is on par with Hydian Way? I like doing space missions, all except for Drexel Sweep. I say this because I have a lvl 50 character and my ship is all decked out with every purple cybertech made pieces of upgrade parts available. I also have the energy converter to make the laser fire more powerful at the expense of less powerful shield regenerators. The Impossible mission you get in the outer rim part where Ilum is, those ships can be killed with 4 blaster shots with a fully upgraded ship. On the drexel sweep one, takes 6 shots to kill one ship. And this is a lvl 40ish space mission. You cant get all the best purple grade upgrades, i think it takes like 8 shots per ship if not more, so theres no real point in playing it unless you really need to increase your blood pressure or stress levels cause you will die. I have almost died on the Drexel Sweep on my lvl 50 fully upgraded ship, so....whats up with that? I want to play space missions and still level with them, but drexel makes that pretty much impossible, so, any hopes of a potential fix on that?

    damage mitigation

Tanks will never be real tanks in pvp because of what the shield doesn't proc on and how much dmg is let thru. Armor mitigates a small amount of everything. I say small amount because the difference in armor value between heavy, medium and light is not all that drastic. Also, the shield only procs on white melee and ranged weapon damage abilities. It does not proc off tech, force, elemental, or internal. The same can be said for defense. Only white melee and ranged weapon damage can be defended, so when you pop the so called saber ward, you increase your defense by 100%, so its still 100% of only white melee and ranged weapon damage. So you can have a sorc hitting you with force lightning and the only thing that will happen is it will be mitigated by the 25% dmg reduction that is included in the ability. The defense increase portion is pretty null considering the small scope of abilities it affects. The only thing that really helps all around is armor, so just go dps. I learned that the hard way. I spent so much time getting every single piece of war hero defense gear, only to find out later that it means nothing. Armor and expertise are the only real form of mitigation that anyone has, aside from cd's as well.
  15. I dont know how feasible this is, but I would like to suggest that you (in this case the you is Bioware) implement new gear at different tiers. I would suggest that there be regular warzones still, and ranked warzones, but 2 levels of ranked warzones. Now I know this will diminish from the pool of existing ranked warzones, but hear me out. Casually ranked warzone que group and the more competitive groups. Now yes, awesome comps and teams will possibly abuse this bracket, but for no reason. How about we have warzone comms for reg warzones that give you recruit like gear, bottom of the pvp barrel type gear. Then casually ranked warzones give mercenary comms (yeah, bring those guys back) that can purchase the equivalent of what battle master is now. And then the hardcore bracket of which you can only get ranked mercenary comms, or another name for them if you will that will be able to purchase the equivalent of war hero gear now. And make the comms reward not at that much or increase the amount of comms that the items cost. I say this because even with a job I was able to aquire my war hero gear rather quickly before 1.3 was released. I was almost full war hero geared out before ranked was even out, then whats going to happen to all these ranked comms? And if I got them that fast, think of all the exceptional players that will be in hardcore that don't really do much else but pvp. They have probably had war hero for some time now. Now that everyone has rank but no use for ranked comms....what good is a rank for? Real usefullness that is, not just vanity gear. Make it worth while for us. Now, having said that, some might say, well there will be even less to play with in the ranked que now. I beg to differ, because if we open up a casuals bracket, then that might make people more inclined to play ranked warzones, and as they get better and better geared, they will eventually want to take on hardcore with the better gear. Teams just have to be not afraid to lose and take the bumps and bruises that come with gearing up. Being afraid to lose so much that you don't even bother to play is terrible. Just put the derps that think if theyre awesome at a video game that means they can call you bads or nubs on ignore, cause you know they havent seen the sun in months probably. The only thing yellow they have seen is their pee bottle next to them. Just ignore people that cut up, work and practice as a team and you will do better as time goes on.
  16. Name 1 mmo that has non-objective based pvp please. It sounds like you are looking for team death match on MW3. That's not this game breh.
  17. Aaaah, this is what I have been waiting for =), I knew the day would come when the pugs of the world got upset about the 8 man ranked warzones lol. Now how does it feel to be frustrated beyond belief? Because that's what most of the 8 man premade ranked people felt like for 6 months. Now it's your turn. My guild and I could only make 4 man premades and were at the mercy of the pugs that we were given, and most of the time we got screwed by our pug counterparts cause they either didnt care or didn't pay attention. We were so frustrated that some of us quit the game because of how bad pugs were in warzones and ruined it for the rest of us. We thought, why try if our efforts are just going to be ruined by people that don't care or don't put in nearly as much effort as we do. Now that it's here you guys don't like it. You have been frustrated for less than a week, try 6 straight months solid of frustration. Once it gets to 6 months and you guys still feel this way then come and say something. 1 week is nothing compared to the hell we have had to endure. My guild mates and I are loving 8 man ranked and we don't play the same teams over and over, we get different teams, and yes, we win a lot, my record is 45 -7. So I am having a blast, and now you guys want to take our fun away after less than a week? Regular warzones are still available, and ranked warzone comms can still be had from them. If you are not doing well in ranked then maybe you are not ready for it yet. Keep grinding the gear you need for ranked. I see so many people queueing for ranked warzones with 16k-17k hp, right now as a tank I have 22,710 hp and over 1300 expertise. Of course I am going to beat someone with 16k hp. And for those of you who cut up, I live on my own and yes I have a job. I even have a social life, I just make sure I do the best I can with what I am given.
  18. It's not weird, it is completely understandable. The people that do this, there is obvious reasons why this happens. Most of the people that do this have been attached to a computer for a long period of time. They are talented at pvp and are smart with how they play. However, some of these people may have been made fun of in high school or bullied or something along those lines, so in this arena they are safe from retaliation and also enjoy making others feel how they felt at one point or another. Another explanation to this is the infestation of trolls on the internet and people seeing this may tell others that this is the proper way to act on the internet if you best someone at anything and to belittle them. This is because they have never played an organized sport. If you scored a goal in hockey and proceeded to call the goalie a noob and then tell him to QQ more, the opposing team is going to head hunt you and put your head thru the boards. Also it's a blantant lack of respect for the other players and other teams. At the end of games we shook hands and said good game, never made fun of them. Maybe some smack talk here and there, but never to the level or the frequency of what people in online video games do. If only there was a mutual respect and appreciation for other players in a game we all help to drive, then it would be better. If everyone stopped playing a game, the best pvp team in the world would have no one to play against, then where would they be? They would probably say ha, we made everyone quit we're so good! But then they would proceed to be bored and feel an empty form of victory as there was no one left to play against. Mutual respect and appreciation with the occasional smack talk would go a long way, but I don't expect anything like that from the online community. Some enjoy doing the degrading and belittleing entirely too much and is almost an integral part of online gaming now, as sad as it is to say.
  19. I can understand your frustration, I really do, because not everyone has the opportunity to gather 8 people and play on a large competitive level. Maybe instead of changing it all together they could make a 4 v 4 platform and an 8 v 8 platform. I say this because I am in a large pvp guild and we enjoy the 8 v 8 platform very much so. We sometimes have 3 full 8 man premades going at once and all 3 groups do well. For us the 4 v 4 idea would be terrible and we would feel similar to the way you feel now. I personally don't think it would be fair to the rest of the people enjoying the 8 v 8 because I think it is a great success. You saying it is a huge failure is an opinion, not a fact, it is just not conducive to your play style. So asking to remove it would obviously not be the fair or right choice. And if ranked did go to still 8 v 8 but only 4 man premades would be allowed, then no one would queue for that either. Who would risk their rank by playing with pugs? I know I wouldn't. I like playing with people that understand how to play the objective and do it well. If you don't mind me asking, what is stopping you from applying to a large guild with many people to pvp with? Like I said my guild sometimes runs 2 - 3 full 8 man premades a night, sometimes with people waiting for a spot on 1 of those 3 groups. I would look for a guild that is recruiting for pvp and get to know them and start running with them.
  20. Vedano

    Temper temper!

It's ironic cause I was going to say soemthing similar to this. I play this game and there are many different facets to this game. There is questing, flash points, ops, warzones, space missions, role playing (if thats your thing) and they are all in one game. That being said, pvp is competitive, and it is meant to be that way. It's not a leisurely quest, its not team vs environment, its players verses players. It's supposed to be competitive and intense. If you are playing warzones to destress and relax you're doing it wrong. I used to play hockey, dek, ice, roller. Never once did I go, "HO HUM, this is so stress free. Thank goodness I don't take this seriously cause I don't care if I win or lose, deedle lee dee." If you don't like competition, then pvp is not for you. It is not for someone to just casually run about and have fun and jump. Just because you don't take it seriously doesn't mean other people can't. You know what the term for someone having an opinion and thinks everyone else should have the same opinion? It's egocentrism. Not everyone is going to think like you, and to expect that is simply absurd. Therefore, if you would like to relax and destress, pvp is not the recommended game of choice. You obviously can if you like, but you have to deal with the competitive nature of players cause you are in our world now. You knowiningly stepped into a competitive game queue and now you expect others to not react to your nonchalant approach. You will never find someone yelling at you to quest faster, or you need to get more items, or you're in the wrong area, you kill mobs like a noob. That's the proper venue for those that want to destress. By playing without a competitive spirit and without trying stresses the other players that want to win. So think about that next time you queue up. If you do queue up again with that mentality, you are basically saying "I destress by making others stress out." Because that is effectively what you are doing. Please don't add stress to a part of the game that inherently has stress to begin with. Thank you. Sincerely, Corragio <Crescendo> - The Bastion, Formerly of The Swiftsure
  21. I see this all over the forums. People complaining about anything and everything. What is the deal with all this complaining? You guys are like little annoying puppies that won't stop barking. This is a list of what I think are soon to come complaints considering the nonsense that I have seen so far. - Why do I have to put in my user name and password EVERYTIME? - WZ medpacs cost too much, how bout when I buy one I receive 20 wz comms instead of paying 10 - My speeder is too slow, it needs buffed. - The fleet is too big, it takes me atleast 30 seconds to get to where I want to go, who has time for that? Nerf Fleet please - Group finder isnt working, you should implement a Me finder for everyone else, cause people should look for me, not me looking for them, kthx. - Why isn't your product perfect yet bioware? You have had over 6 months, thats FOREEEEVEEERRRRR. If you don't have a final product within the time it takes to microwave my hot pocket then you must suck as a company. - Food wont come to me from my refrigerator....WTH Bioware?!? - I can't kill anyone in pvp and I'll quit if you don't change that. I'm not going to buy recruit gear as a fresh 50, that takes effort, I'm tired just typing this sentence. - There are too many keys on my keyboard, nerf my keyboard, kthx These are ridiculous on purpose, just a quick disclaimer so no one thinks I am being serious. No really, there are some......interesting people out there. But I hope some of you get a laugh out of this =)
  22. I have been pvp tanking for sometime now and depending on the map and how the match is going i can get anywhere around 75k protection to 150k protection. My highest ever is 198, 643 protection in a Civil War. I am wondering if my numbers are about the average and other pvp pure tanks are, and if not could I get some pointers on how I could increase my protection numbers. I watch ops frames like a healer would all while trying to help with armor debuffs and healer peels. I guard swap, watch for people dipping on ops frames and guardina leap to them, aoe taunt, watch for other classes known for high dps, i.e. slingers/snipers, sents/mara's, and vans/pt's and single target taunt them when I can. My current build is http://www.swtor-spy.com/skill-tree-calculator/guardian/17/?build=021202030213000200000000000003203022002200310102000000000000000000000000000000000000 Keep in mind, Profound Resolution has been changed to Purifying Sweep, just wanted to make sure anyone who didn't know of that change wondered why I had it in there. Thank you for your help and advice
  23. I am curious as to what were going to see in ranked warzones. 8 PT's considering how much dmg they can do, or 4 PT's, 2 ops and 2 mara's, i know it will be a variation of the 3 FOTM's, just wondering in what order. I wonder how long it will be before all ranked are only PT/Vans, ops/scouns, and mara/sents. I dont think it will be long considering no one will want to play anything thats not OP and the one with the most I win buttons. Any input?
