  1. These are my suggestions for GSF. The way I see it GSF is a good start, but needs a lot of work. Some may like these, others will not. GENERAL - Hardware Support for peripherals other than mouse and keyboard (gamepad, flight stick, etc). - Ability to adjust mouse sensitivity in-game from the GSF settings. - Better camera controls, including being able to zoom into a HUD view. - Not going to comment on maps yet other than to say that I really hope they plan on more than just CTF; it’s boring and doesn’t work real well. GAMEPLAY - Add maneuvering thrusters. This will be a second engine pool that decreases when making hard maneuvers i.e. anytime the targeting reticule moves outside the arc circle. Once depleted, turning ability reduces to 50% normal. This pool would regenerate quickly, but repeated hard turns will also deplete it quickly. Doing so would eliminate most of the stale-mate turn fights that result in little more than a waste of time. - Fix close-range accuracy. The closer you get, the more accurate and damaging your blasters should get, not the other way around. - Fix clipping issues. SCOUTS - Increase laser damage. - Increase rocket damage. - Eliminate locking missiles; rockets and probes only. STRIKE FIGHTERS - Decrease turning ability. - Increase overall straight-line speed. GUNSHIPS - Make base railgun accuracy and damage scalable to the ship being attacked. - Scouts = 70% hit chance / 100% of normal damage. - Strike Fighters = 85% Hit chance / 95% normal damage. - Gunships = 100% hit chance / 105% normal damage. - Add side and rear-firing AI laser turrets with a base accuracy of 30%. There is more, but we’ll see what BW does first.
  2. If they change it or not, I'll be fine. I have a feeling they will eventually do something to it, or with the gunship as a whole. It is the one class of ship that just doesn't fit, it has no real purpose aside from being an nuisance.
  3. That doesn't always work. I don't play the gunship much (feels like I am cheating), but I don't care if the target is moving, stationary, or weaving through objects I will still hit them. The problem being that you do not have to lead with the railgun, makes aiming way too easy. I am mixed about the railgun though, on one hand it's cool and fun. On the other, it's like using the main Death Star cannon on an X-Wing; unnecessary overkill.
  4. That's the ticket. Could be the case in some instances. Knowing when to use an evasive tactic is just as important as using it; barrel roll (not really preformed correctly by the skill) is something you don't want to use in confined spaces.
  5. Let them, you get a free assist from them being stupid or cowardly, just make sure you get a shot in first. (though if they didn't take any hits and just crashed, I guess that would put them on the stupid side).
  6. Sorry, the controls are completely borked. I am getting used to it, as can anyone, but that doesn't mean that they are not bad. As far as incessant griping, that is your opinion, as is the comment about about "vocal minority"; I am positive you have no substantial data to back your claim. Anyways, I think GSF has promise, unfortunately most things in gaming that include the word "promise" never quite live to potential, we will see.
  7. Panic plus an erratic control scheme, you're going to get crashes; be happy with an assist. You fired at them, they attempted you evade and an inanimate object assisted you in taking them out.
  8. +1 Flightstick support should have been there already. BW's erratic mouse control scheme gives me a headache. I spend more time spinning in circles attempting to find the pointer than I do actually flying; I usually get it straightened out just in time to be picked off. While they're at it, they could add some camera controls, I would prefer to zoom in and have a HUD view instead of 3rd person. I would love to see TIR support, however, I find it doubtful that will happen.
  9. In my personal opinion I would like to see something more like what LotRO had for PvP; zone based with capture points. Each capture point was stocked with NPCs and there were quests that offered rewards for taking a capture point. Once held the point would remain under control until the opposing faction took it back. Holding capture points came with rewards such as increasing experience gained for the side that held the majority of the points as well as unlocking additional "defense" quests at each capture point to make it more difficult for the other faction to take it back. Zone wide pvp can work, there simply needs to be rewards (or a reason) for people to do it.
  10. I don't drink that often, but the worst thing I have done is... In a Huttball match, the ball got tossed to me in a 0-0 game with seconds to go. Not expecting this (and frankly not wanting the ball) I did what any drunken person would do....completely panicked. I picked a direction to run and committed to it. Unfortunately, I ran strait into a massive cluster of red names. I felt bad afterward. But, hopefully it was a one time thing.
  11. Repressed abandonment issues? If someone is paying to play a game, they can play it however they want. If they want to leave a wz for "x" reason, go for it. It honestly should not be upsetting anyone.
  12. This would just beg to be abused. Once people start abusing a system like this, it would quickly get it of hand.
  13. Annoying for you perhaps, that is a subjective matter. However associating people leaving a pvp match with cancer is, in my opinion, ludicrous. And googling the definition of cancer, then copy/paste to prove your point is frankly pathetic. Any road, think what you will, you are the only one suffering for it by allowing yourself to get annoyed.
  14. Assassins are fun, more difficult than the sorc to get the hang of, but fun. Hopefully you keybind, because mobility is rather important for an assassin.
  15. Any adult will understand and respect this. Kids on the other hand, well, who cares what they think anyways.
  16. I have never once left a match and never plan to because I want my comms and cash at the end; win or lose. People who leave are only hurting themselves, so let them. I am not going to defend nor am I going to chastise someone for leaving, there is just no point to it unless you enjoy frustrating yourself.
  17. I fail to see how this really has much to do with what I said. You said "it matters" (I guess you are referring to winning) and then go on and not offer up any substantive reason as to why it matters. I have a family also, that is why I don't care if people leave, I don't care if my team wins. I understand that SWTOR is not the most important thing in life. I do what I feel like doing and others can do the same, that's all I was saying.
  18. I keep seeing this come up over and over again. The only thing I ever think is "does it really matter?". Unless you are doing ranked (which I can't see people leaving being a problem) or you are trying to complete your weekly, who cares if you win or lose? Below 50 there is no sizable benefit to winning and above 50 you will win some and lose some. Please, stop worrying about what others are doing and enjoy the game for yourself; after all, it is only a game. Personally, I don't care if people leave, I don't care if my team wins or not as long as I know I did the best I could and that I had fun. In the end, that is all that really matters.
  19. ....If you repeatedly run into the same heavily defended capture point by yourself. ....If the concept of passing the huttball escapes you. ....If you are defending a capture point and call incoming after you are already dead.
  20. I think BW did what they thought they should do, it just didn't pan out real well. In my opinion, the point at which their plan included the possibility of losing character names, it should have been sent back to the drawing board. And while, you do in fact have a choice to transfer or not, BW did not leave a very bright outcome for not taking their "offer", unless you like playing an MMO by yourself on an empty server. They took something that, with a good plan, could have been relatively smooth and turned it into a convoluted mess. BTW, they can in fact move you back to your origin server, getting them to do it...that's another matter.
  21. 1.) Novare 2.) Alderaan 3.) Voidstar 4.) Huttball
  22. Geez, reminds me of my wife. Always sticking pronouns where adjectives belong and expecting me to be on the same page with her.
  23. In my opinion targeting is not that bad. Before I bound it, sure it was cumbersome. However, now that I have "Target nearest" bound to mouse wheel click as well as "target next" and "target previous" bound to the scroll wheel; seems to work just fine.
  24. "Mind Trick" isn't too bad for pvp.... At least on the imperial side.
