  1. Jaesa is already a companion one can get. Additional material for Jaesa would be fine and all, but making those characters from Rise of the Hutt Cartel, ESPECIALLY Cytherat, would be really appreciated.
  2. This is correct. Mythran set does not unlock in collections even if fully equipped.
  3. I would pay cartel coins to get Lord Cytherat (from the Imperial Makeb storyline) as a companion. Back in the day, people argued against this possibility, because "he's dead in some people's story". There are plenty of companions out there who are dead in some people's story, and not in others. This argument that was once made against Cytherat as a companion no longer holds water. I also would love to see Lemda Avesta (also from Makeb, Republic-side) as a companion. These two characters had a great story on Makeb, and were front-and-center on the "Rise of the Hutt Cartel" artwork. I would love to add them to my roster of companions. With Malgus making his return, it seems a good time story-wise to potentially bring Cytherat back, at least. If it was through a Cartel Coin purchase, or through a story in the game, or through unlocking an achievement... whatever. I'm fine with any of those options. Just please bring those characters back as companions.
  4. Absolutely sure. That's how I usually donate them to the guild -- through my UI. A bunch of them can't be, and there's really no rhyme or reason as far as I can see.
  5. There are a bunch of decorations that you simply can't donate to guild. None of the companions, of course, but there are a bunch of others that you can't donate to guild, either. The LvD Datacron decoration. The awesome dance floor from the Nightlife event. The Gree. The decorations from the Star Fortress achievements. The Rakata warriors. (The Rakata Mystics, strangely, can be donated.) It's kind of hit or miss which ones can be donated and which ones can't. Is there any way we could get the ability to donate more decorations to our guild?
  6. Ahem. To repeat: "it's not like those who made certain choices would be left out of anything from a gameplay perspective. It would just be different story options." So, in other words, people who wanted Cytherat could do so. People who made certain choices on Makeb could simply not collect him. Easy peasy. There's room for both sorts of story choices there.
  7. Or Avesta could have learned to fight since we last saw her. Honestly, my personal primary interest is in Cytherat, but I wouldn't turn down Avesta as well, or some of the others suggested above. The easiest way to do them would be as Cartel items ala the Akk Dog, the Nexu, and the Probe Droid, though perhaps as a direct sale instead of a random draw; those who don't want him can easily avoid him, while those who want him can easily go about getting him. If a more plot-centered option was used, that'd be fantastic and I'd be all over it, but honestly, I'd just love to have a Cytherat companion, however it was done. It looks like I'm not the only one who'd love a Cytherat companion.
  8. Exactly. They're both romanceable characters, and many people really liked either one or both. Make them entirely optional (maybe through the Cartel market), and people who would rather avoid interacting with them for story reasons can do so quite easily, while others who would rather interact with them or run around with them as companions are free to do so.
  9. With companions now optional in so many ways, perhaps those two NPCs people so loved from the Makeb storyline could be made companions. I know one of them might not be possible for some people, depending on choices they made, but it's not like those who made certain choices would be left out of anything from a gameplay perspective. It would just be different story options. I know Cytherat was very popular as a character. I know I'd love to see him as a companion, and with the current system, it seems like it could be possible
  10. Man, Ratajack, after all this time tirelessly crusading against this, you still don't have an argument against this that doesn't utilize the "Slippery Slope" logical fallacy? You've gotta get some new material, man.
  11. A nice idea. I'd love to see a "holocron meditation" animation for out-of-combat regeneration at some point, too -- both a cubic holocron (for the Jedi), and an pyramidal holocron (for the Sith), allowing people to meditate with a holocron in their hands.
  12. If you want her unlocked on all your characters, pay the cartel coin cost; the regular credit cost is a per-character cost. Go to your collections and find the Mercenary Contract there, and unlock it. Once it's unlocked, all of your characters can get the Mercenary Contract from your collection, and thus pick up Treek.
  13. I'd be down for that. They are pretty cute, it's true...
  14. At the time, it was the only way to access the content. However, as time went on, they made the decision to make it available to everyone. Makes sense to me. I've been a subscriber since the beginning. I preordered Hutt Cartel the moment it became available, and I'll do so again with any new expansions. For the last 6 months, I had a TON of fun with the expansion, and it was totally worth the $10 I put into it. I don't need cartel coins -- I see why people who ordered it recently should get some, and I don't need it. (Not that I'd turn it down if it showed up, but I hardly feel obligated to it.) I think this is great. It's going to get more people enjoying the game and playing, and that's good for the survival of this game I so enjoy playing.
  15. 1. What Class is the character who isn't getting conversations? Scoundrel 2. What level is the character who isn't getting conversations? 55 3. What is their current affection level with Treek? 10000 4. How was the Treek who is not providing conversations obtained? (via Cartel Market, credits, GTN, Collections) Credits 5. Do you have any characters who have achieved conversations? No; all other characters were achieved by collections, and have varying levels of affection (including at least one other at 10K). All of them have ONLY had the initial, "Welcome to the crew" conversation, then nothing.
  16. I was actually the one who asked the question, and -- while I admit I had a hard time hearing the answer -- the impression I got from the answer was that characters coming back as companions were not out of the question, and that it was a good time to start a thread on the forums for characters people liked who have appeared in the game. That could have been me mishearing, or just being hopeful, I suppose, but that was the impression I got. As much as I know many people would love Thana Vesh, I do think since her possible death is on-screen, she may be impossible. Personally, I was never really into her, but if they decided to make an exception, resurrect her and add her, I wouldn't complain. I'd just much prefer, if they were going to bring back the possibly-dead, that they do so for Cytharat, especially since his possible-death was off-screen and assumed, unlike Vesh's death. I love several of the suggestions I'm seeing here (but Cytharat and Avesta remain my favorite options thus far)! Thanks, ladies and gents!
  17. At the Seattle Cantina Tour last night, I asked about a couple characters from Makeb who I thought were especially well-made. I wondered if we would see them again, particularly as *fingers crossed* companions. Eric told me that they were currently looking into what characters throughout the game people were interested in, potentially as companions (I don't have his exact wording; it was difficult to hear, sadly, but this seemed to be the gist). He said that now would be a good time to create a thread on the board asking which characters people liked and would like to see again. He also noted specifically that the writers would not be bringing anyone back from the dead. So, with that in mind, what characters have you seen throughout the game who you'd like to see make a return, particularly as a potential companion? The characters I'd like to see (who I mentioned in the first place): Doctor Avesta and Lord Cytharat. Both are great characters, with fascinating romance angles (in my opinion). I'd love to see them as faction-based bonus companions. How about the rest of you? Any other characters you'd like to see?
  18. Ratajack -- would you be willing to consider it if it had the following requirements? 1) The individual must have "Datacron Master" achievement -- they have managed to grab every datacron in the game already, including those only available to one faction or another. 2) The individual must have a high legacy level -- perhaps 40 or even 50. 3) The individual must pay cartel coins to unlock it. If they have achieved the first two, I don't think "laziness" is still an appropriate argument. And the third assures that only those who want it get it, rather than having it automatically foisted on those who would rather do the datacron hunt on a per-character basis. It also means that those who hate the datacron hunt can still work towards achieving a point where they don't need to do it anymore. I've got all the datacrons on my two mains, but I'll admit that I haven't gotten around to getting them on my secondary toons, simply because I loathe the jumping puzzles. I do not find them fun. It's not laziness -- it's a matter of taste and what people find fun. Platforming in a game with imprecise jumping is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Your other argument, that of "Well, if we did that, why not just make leveling skippable?", is a slippery-slope argument, and it's a logical fallacy. Leveling is core to the whole game; if you want to skip that, why play the game at all? Datacrons are NOT core to the whole game; they are optional, and while some people enjoy hunting them, others do not. So, with that in mind -- is my above suggestion an acceptable compromise?
  19. Lightside characters are overall more interesting to me, from a storytelling perspective (though there are exceptions, and I have a couple darksiders, though they are the exception and not the rule). Simple as that.
  20. Basically, a "training wheels" difficulty-level of Operations that could be done with 1-2 people? That could be really helpful for training people in Ops, letting them get the feel of the Op, etc. Obviously with appropriately-scaled rewards. Honestly, I think this would be great for both people who want to see the story but can't easily group up with 8, and for raiders who want to train new team members on the run. Win-win, I say.
  21. A version as seen in the character-creation screen -- with the hood down, no dyes needed, adaptive -- that would be fantastic, yes.
  22. He's commenting that now there's a second one like that.
  23. Nautolans could be fun. There would likely be clipping issues, such as with the Twi'leks, though.
  24. ...you know, that's a great idea. Perhaps sold from the Reputation vendors for the event?
