  1. This.

I played Legion, good expansion and it's hard to argue that the game overall is far more advanced and polished than this one but...after 10 years I can't *********** handle the orc garbage story anymore. It's so bland and meh, stupid orcs fighting orcs going back in time deciding if they are good guy orcs or bad guy orcs while some nameless "enter character hero here" comes in and is all of a sudden the "chosen" one. That ship has sailed for me, the story experience in this game has ruined any lore that WoW has to offer.

Plus, the artifact grind and gated content is on par with this garbage CXP system in terms of grind fest.

Seriously.. even having the Star Wars IP... OH WAIT.. legends storyline... Orcs are still better when SWTOR's expansion is a piece of dung. Hell, Demon Hunter is a far better duel wielder than marauders or sentinels. This expansion is some serious trash.

  2. The only uprising that I've seen give any difficulty is the final boss pair of Inferno. The dot, the edge, endless adds, cleaves and pools of death. If you're not all competent and comfortable with your class, a 4 dps group can disintegrate really fast on this fight. On the other hand, even a single heals makes it baby mode again. A rank 50 comp heals makes it laughable.

I think the uprisings are entertaining and the good thing is, even if the group sucks, it's a 15 min run, max before you bull through it or some bad baddie bad rage quits and you can pull out a comp and skate.

I also like the side missions with actual dialogue and a bit of world building. Make the end boss heal nodes respawn and that's all the tuning the story mode uprisings need.

I'd lay down money that "future group content" is going to be more uprisings with possible master tiers and maybe flashpoint length 8-16 man insurrections or something similar.

All of the uprising bosses are just mobs with skill sets cut and pasted from an established mix of flash points/operations. They're already building up the temporary skill bar and different skills they can slot in there. I don't think they'll be making any more flashpoints or operations. Uprisings are it going forward.

Story should be chill. Vet and Master should be hard. Don't punish the casual crowd by making Story hard. It's not in line with Story chapters, or anything labeled story.

  3. I haven't tried them yet; are they like a "tactical" FP type of mission or do you need to have tank/heals/2 DPS?

They're labeled as any 4 can do them... this is not the case for most people. Bioware will try to sell them like that, but they took out the respawning healing terminals in Story Mode. I think this is a mistake and hurts both old and new players. Obviously for the higher difficulty, I agree, limited heals. But Story Mode...

You finding them difficult? I never have a proplem with any?

I am not personally, but I have had multiple groups keep up because more casual people aren't used to mechanics.. so boom, group dissolves. Then a new group, one wipe, they're gone. It has to be tuned (in story mode obviously) to a lower threshold.

  5. Are a failure. They are not tuned right. I get the Cataclysm vibe where you're going to chase off a lot of people. Don't bury your heads in the sand, Bioware. Retune to Tacticals with respawning healing stations.
  6. Anyone else log in, but when the character select screen is suppose to come up... it goes to server select? I have reset my router and just updated one of machines completely. I try to pick my server it tells me there is a connection error. Any ideas?
  7. I don't really care what they pay to do until the game starts being made less a game and more a movie to cater to their inability to do anything except walk and hit 1 ... though 1 was possibly pushing it a bit far for how hard it was prior to this nerf.

Still working on building that strawman? You seem smart enough to know that's not what the people are clamoring about, but you keep going back to insulting your strawman. Why is that? Can't even accept a 75% nerf to a healing companion is a little too much?

Better yet, how does their play style effect yours?

  8. I never understood those people that think their opinion is worth more than any other player. They rant and they scream that something is "wrong" or "not enough" because they personally don't like it.

Then they make forums, and the majority of people are ok with whatever has happened, but it's not good enough - the original poster makes more threads and more threads and then they start insulting anyone that does not share their point of view.

I still don't understand the point of this artificial challenge these people crave. My challenges in life do not come from a video game. Mine are to keep my nice salary, take care of my family and make sure my bills are paid.

I don't play SWTOR for a challenge. I go play COD (for the PVP fix), or Witcher 3 on the hardest mode.
