Not me, I refuse to read patch notes because IMO, ignorance is bliss and after every patch, it feels almost like Christmas. I never know what I am going to get but only that I am getting something. If i want to know something about this game, I will just log onto the forums and 1 of any of the 50 currently logged in raging teenagers will fill me in on every single detail. Just like with the ability delay, I never knew it existed until someone was crying about it on these forums..

Wow, maybe you just suck at PVP.... Or maybe I suck at PVP because my Sorc gets ganked all the time. I mean, once I get a group of 2 on me, BOOM im done. I have to hide in the shadows tossing heals and using chain lightening while tyring to play ninja. Or maybe its because I am lv 31 trying to kill a bunch of lv 44's. Ehhh, who knows, but either way, I do not find Sorc are over powered, just some people know how to play the class well. Just because you are killed all the time by a few players does not make the class OP, it just means they are better than you...

You leveled up to 50, so something was there to make you rush home from the bus and jump on the game. Something was there to make you want to log in regardless of what was going on around you. You stuck with the game until you reached lev 50 and now after spending 2 months (well considering the game has been playable for 6 weeks and that is only if you were among those to play on the first day) or should I say at the most 6 weeks of playing this game you feel it was a waste of time. It being a waste of time would mean you did not obtain the slightest enjoyment from the game and well because something kept forcing you to log on until you reached lv50, id bet to say you did enjoy yourself. But now you are upset and bored. You have gotten to lev 50 and what, oh Lord what to do??? Have you even gone out exploring while looking for obscure quest lines lying around on the ground? Have you maxed out your social/valor points? Maxed your crafting? Done all the flash points? Played a different profession? Played a different faction? Played anything other than the quick to the point lev 50 toon you have? You see, I did start on day one of EA. Matter of fact, I think I was one of the first to sign onto my server because it seemed there were only a few online at that moment. But still after these past 6 weeks of playing this game, after the countless bugs I have reported (not complained on the freaking general forum thread) to the devs via IG tickets ect, I still have not reached lv 50. My highest toon is only lev 38 even though I have played this game for around 4-5 hours a day. I do have 1-2 toons on 3 different servers. But my main two toons are 38 and 31. I have played just as long if not longer than you and yet I haven’t even begun to even smell boredom. Maybe you need a break or some nook nook. If you are bored this early in the game, then you need to find something to enjoy because obviously, this game isn’t doing it for you.

So, you downloaded the patch and for some reason it will not allow you to log on correct? Have you uninstalled the game and re-installed? What kind of system do you have, specs ect ect?

What part of the game are you haveing delays on? I am not having any delay problems. I am on Taris and its instant. Is this delay in open world or PVP? If you are having delays, what are your FPS? MY FPS is sitting at 78-86 consistently so maybe that is cause some of you to have minor delays.

No, they are still going to play WoW! They only used the delay as an excuse to complain on the forums with no intention to ever really play this game.

Wow, I remember playing SWG and how it felt to do the SAME exact quest the SAME exact way no matter what prof you were. I remember playing WoW for a few days and the only thing different about the quest were the first 10 levels of certain classes/races. I remember playing AOC and well, no, wait, I cannot even remember playing AOC..... What I am trying to say, You will have a class quest (which is different, how do I know, well, because I have 4 different sith classes) and planet quest. The class quest still occurs on the same planets but in different areas with different objectives. The Sith Warrior and the Sith Inq both go to Nar Shadaa, but what they do there during their class quest is totally different. But they still both have the same planet quest along with every other same faction class. But if you are bored and do not get the enjoyment out of the game, then I suggest you should take a break and relax for a couple of weeks. Maybe you will regain that innate desire to come and play again...

Also, to the guy who keeps saying this should have been a pre-order gift, dude, seriously, stop, just stop. You got a pre-order gift; it was called early access.... Well, I have never tested out any of AMDs FX series though so I can’t honestly say what they can handle. I prefer the hex-core over quad core I would not get a 2tb HDD. Instead go with a single 1tb HDD and like a 30-40 gb SSD for your games. Loads them faster. Your motherboard is a below average board. It has two PCIE but only 1 is 16x (other is 4x). You never want to limit yourself when getting a motherboard. Sure the board is cheap around $90, but you will never get be able to reap the full benefits of a full dual GPU setup. Your mother board is something you want to ensure is upgradable. Never limit what you can do and this mobo will limit you. The GTX 550ti was rated one of the worst cards on TOMSHARDWARE test of SWTOR. Its FPS was less than the GTX 460. Also, if you are going with an Nvidia GPU, then you want a mobo that supports SLI. Even if you never plan on running dual GPUs, never remove the option. You never know when you will want to do so in the future and honestly, the way the tech market is, being able to fully upgrade is important.

Nope, AMD GPU maybe, not CPUs. I know someone had issues with crossfireX set ups, but not with AMD cpus.

Lol yeah, Intel per core has a higher individual core speed, but the price for that little bit of difference is not worth the benefits. AMDs are great CPUs but so are Intels. Either one you go with will render great results as long as you build your rig around it. You cannot waste all of your money on the newest highest number Intel CPU and then surround it with some cheap generic Mobo that fails to even have workable Bios. GPUs are a must but at what cost do you want to drop 400 on something that will be obsolete in a few weeks. The GTX 560ti has been identified by Tomshardware to be one of the best out atm, if you want a 500 series Nvidia GPU, then a single 560 is the way to go. But if you have enough case room and air flow is not an issue, a dual 460 sli set up gives you better results for a cheaper price, but also higher case temps.

You do not need a GTX 580. Nor do you need anything close to 4.6ghz OC. You have 1k to get a computer, most 580s run from 390+ and there is nothing SWTOR offers that requires a 400+GPU. I run 2 GTX 460s SLI and even with these 1.4 year old cards, I never fall below 79FPS and that is with Nvidai Control maxing everything as well as in game settings. A CPU, well, if money is an issue and 1k is an issue; do not worry about an intel. Everyone on here keeps harping on some retarded i7-2600 ish or something like that, waste of money. The AMD Phe II (6x) 1090-1100t BE dominate this game. I only have a AMD 1075T and running SWTOR along with streaming NEXTFLIX on my second monitor does not even cause my system to wake up. You do not need the newest, highest number item on the market. This spring the new line of GPUs will be released and everything people are telling you to get now will be replaced with something even more $$$$$ in 3-4 months. The GTX 460 is a great card which offers crazy single mode performance. Also, the card only runs from 160-190 depending on the brand. Don’t try to build one yourself unless you have the money and time to do so. No matter what anyone says, there will always be some type of problems with building a computer. Have someone who can be held accountable to do it for you. The last thing you want to do is short out your Mobo because you used a magnetic Screw driver by mistake or didn’t touch something metal before reaching into your case. Honestly you are in the best place right now. You have nothing else to do or nothing else that brings you enjoyment. The best thing to do during this time is start building your fortune. Start crafting and crafting. I know people say crafting is irrelevant in this game but those are the ones that fail at doing it correctly. The money is not in lev 50 gear. The money is in gear designed for lev 23-45. As a syth prof, I crank out lv 29 heavy mask for sith juggies. These masks have been RE'ed to reach the superior schem and sit at 504 armor, 26 Strn, 31 End, 25 Aclar, 24 Crit and 28 Def. I sell each mask for 10k. There is nothing in game right now for a lev 29 juggy that comes close to these stats. This applies for all the armor, light, med, and heavy. I can make a lv 23 Light armor chest that is equal to lv 30ish stats from modded gear. Right now is the time to craft and run solo heroics, regardless of how boring they get, then when you have about 2-5 million+ creds at this stage of the game, when BW starts to incorporate more items/loot/ect ect, you will be on top. Do not waste this time trying to find something to do, go out and do it and collect..collect...collect. 4 toons equal 4 of the major crafting profs. hell, there is crazy money in just selling off skill resources.

Let’s see, I started playing on Dec 13, 2011 with my main toon who for some reason is still lv 38. I decided to create 3 other toons and level them up at the same time. I have my reasons and do not feel I should share them. But, even after doing the Sith Warrior/Sith Inqu storylines, the Bounty Hunter and Agent storylines up to around 24+, I am still not bored. I have done most of the Kaas quest 6 times now, twice during beta and 4 with these toons. Even after this last go around I still found new stuff I had not noticed the previous 5 times. There is a lot to do and see, if you cannot find it then it is because you are not looking. I have listened to the same conversation 6 times now all the way up to Nar Shadaa and yet, I still feel like there are parts of the conversation that I have missed. Stop looking for this game to redefine your entire social perspective and just try to enjoy it for what it is, a time/money sink to help replace real like and the bull#^$& that real life offers.

After reading the OPs comments on companions name, I can see his logic, so a nickname would would while not affecting the original name. The instancing is a bit off, even though the world shows 140 people, I hardly see 30-40, but every time I ask in general chat for a group, i hardly get crickets. But like you state, less instancing would be great. The mass servers are a product of teh community's complaints about que times. BW introduced a ton of new servers when the game went live, but now that initial influx of people are gone, I think we could do with some mergers. One thing I did not address is the races. I would love to see more species but I understand this is something they can implement in expansions and patches once the textures have been implemented. I am sure BW will introduce new ICONIC species into the game as playable races.
