  1. I would but technically it's not a bug, so does not belong in a bug forum. It is a leftover from a change in the game, like some of the achievements in the space missions. Customer service suggested posting in this forum and being a good little robot I did as I was told.
  2. Due to your decision to remove the ability for people to get the codex "Makeb's Mysterious Survival" since the quest awarding it is no longer there, we cannot now complete the Galactic Loremaster achievement. I only discovered this whilst going through my achievements looking at what to work on next and finding this as the missing part of the meta achievement. I went to Makeb to do the quest again (had already completed Makeb on 3 toons previously) and no quest to get. After a bit of online research I found the quest had been removed, but the associated codex was left as part of the meta achievement. Please either remove Makeb's Mysterious Survival from the meta achievement or move Galactic Loremaster to the archive achievements so that no-one will waste time working on a long achievement they can never attain. Thanks for your time and keep up the good work, there are plenty of us out here who do appreciate it.
  3. I haven't had it happen to me until this recent Rak event on Corellia. Grouped up with one other person to do heroic with our comps out, and a stealthed imp ended up flagging me when Senya used her AOE ability. I can be sure on that because the person I was grouped with did not flag and was using AOE abilities, and tanking the Rak champion mob I was not using any AOE's. Naturally with pve gear on and tank spec it was a short fight, but due to many years playing WoW I never attend an area anymore without parking my pvp toon there first. Gank me and find the favour returned until you leave the area. Doesn't help peeps who never pvp at all but at least it can move the gankers on. A tip for non pvper's tho when you get ganked. Use the above listed techniques to drop the flag asap or wait in the start area till the flag drops. As soon as you've done that tho give a shout out in gen chat about flagged opposition and more often than not you will have pvper's around more than happy to jump them lol.
  4. Yeah thx for that, forgot to mention that at end of my post lol. Win 10 fine now as far as games concerned and works better than when on Win 7 or 8.1 too. On a side note for anyone checking this thread looking to upgrade their machines for this game, due to the engine it's better spending more of your budget on the processor/mb combo than the top range vga card if budget is a concern. You'll get better bang for your buck in game improvement with the cpu than the vga
  5. It's funny but this thread has had an unexpected effect. I have not done pvp in SWTOR (except for Starfighter) and after uncountable trips to fleet since launch the desire to try pvp here has not grown at all. This has mainly been due to the constant (yes constant) rants and abusive rages between people doing pvp I witness whenever on fleet, to the point I've had chat turned off for the last few months. Seeing all that anger (both imp & pub sides) gives me no inclination to dip the toe in the shark infested waters that is pvp, especially with no gear except some lower lvl recruit gear I accidently picked up on a couple of toons ages ago lol. Yet in this thread the majority of pvpers are either decent peeps who just want more to experience their side of the fence (and therefore maybe get more regulars involved), or they just forgot to munch their angry pills whilst posting as the loading screen does it's stuff lol. Be careful what you wish for, you might just see me in a WZ. Must admit though in old school WoW I really did enjoy pvp, especially world stuff like Tarren Mill & Xroads.....once sandbox came in though (read arena) the love died real quick lol. Guess we should know though gaming is like the real world - sometimes the vocal minority give an incorrect impression of the silent majority in a given group
  6. Short answer? Yes Slightly longer answer? Yes, but would also like my subscription to include free delivery of pizzas, kebabs and beer 3 or 4 nights a week
  7. Oops sorry. I thought from the title this was a feminist post about the unfair biological condition that afflicts the female of the species and was jumping in to voice my support for the removal of GST on sanitary items. While I'm here though I'll voice my support for the new story structure as it gives me something to look forward to more often. I understand it's not to everyone's taste and that's ok too, you'll never please everybody in a game.
  8. Could be a driver problem with your GTX. Windows 10 with their push drivers forced me to rollback daily just to get rid of the Windows version of the driver to stop BSOD memory_management problems. Others have had different issues than mine, but common factor was Windows 10 Vs GTX and the push drivers. Good luck
  9. W.H.O. has now declared Hotdogs a major cancer risk, along with bacon and everything else that tastes good on this planet. Wonder if EA or Bioware have employees in the W.H.O. Perhaps the OP could find out for us with the help of his secret society - apparently they have a great track record of being right!
  10. Unsure if you have already, but if not try real world EA instead of in-game tickets. Any real problems I've had since launch I've dealt with real world EA and had things fixed. If it's something that's not really important then an in-game ticket is fine because I look at them like opening a CM Hypercrate - don't expect to get anything out of the exercise in gambling but if I do then great lol.
  11. Chargebacks are indeed a useful tool if people have actually been deprived of something they have paid for, but in saying that online gamers need to be especially careful before going down that path. Before adding more frustration to that which they are already feeling, they need to check if they really have been deprived. Devil's advocate here - on SWTOR's Store webpage you scroll down and see subscription plans listed as fastest way to lvl up, etc. Under that (in a bordered box) are payment choices. 1 is listed as a one time purchase of 60 days game time, 3 others are listed as recurring subscriptions. They could argue that it's only those 3 payment methods that are in fact subscriptions! You could argue that the 60 day purchase gets you all the in-game subscriber benefits which makes you a subscriber, but they could reply the 60 day purchase is an option for those players who do not wish to subscribe, but would like those benefits for a limited timeframe - he said/she said and may the best paid lawyers win lol. If you find you have been deprived of what you in fact paid for without a shadow of a doubt then absolutely chase a resolution. However if it could be seen any other way when you look right into it then don't waste your time and the stress hormones chasing something you probably won't get. By the way, Australian customers get pretty much the same protections so if you are in Oz and are in this situation then chase it up. The week is up anyway but for anything related to subscriptions this applies, and if you are unsure about anything follow the age old rule - ask the question from those who own/provide the product and get the answer in writing!
  12. Lol seriously? People giving their own opinion on a matter whilst still saying you have fun playing how you want to play and we are trolls & whiners? A little bit hypocritical that post of yours there. We say we don't like pvp but we don't say get rid of it, or that you shouldn't enjoy it. I also sub and have since launch but don't rag on FTP, good luck to them and their choice. What I will do however is stand up for my right (& others) to have an opinion, whether you like it or not. I choose to play this game and to sub because I like it, and no I don't believe pvp should be a priority in a game where the pvp player base is a minority. Yes it should get attention for those who want/like to play it but pve players should not be forced into it to complete stuff, and it definitely should never be the priority of this game!
  13. I've spent more than my wife's been happy with on packs & crates since launch day, and on direct CM purchases too. I admit to being a bit of a masochist (am married after all) and my RNG results with packs & crates in all this time has only enhanced that perception lol. I also admit to being one who rushes in at times before the brain gets into gear, such as purchasing CC's intending to buy the new crate before reading the new crate loot system. I've also been an early jumper on every Windows system since 3.11 expecting good results (no BSOD) so don't judge the CC purchase too harshly. After seeing the post on the new crate and that it was intended, not a bug, I'm at least happy to say the CC's are still sitting there and unlikely to be spent on a pack or crate anytime soon. Since launch my luck has been rubbish but at least it was fun rubbish, scrolling through the contents of each pack hoping for the score (the scroll getting slower the less packs left in the crate lol). The idea that I won't even get to scroll anymore really takes all the fun out of it, seeing instantly that I got stuff I don't want is like buying a block of chocolate & just eating the wrapper, throwing the chocolate away. The so-called "junk items" were my gold lol, and since they are gone there's no reason to spend the money. Sure the home life will be better, less arguments with my wife and all, but part of my gaming goodness & escape from reality is gone. Please though with any future adjustment treat any boost items other than generics like drugs - "Just say NO"! And like a few others here, thanks for giving us the chance to have a say on the subject, much appreciated.
  14. They are giving all players on Asia Pacific servers free character transfers to any non-asia pacific server on a one time use basis Ernost, so if you want to transfer your toons to Shadowlands you can do so
