  1. Thank you for your support. I was looking for a thread about this earlier but I prolly didn't do enough digging or it just got pushed back so far. But I don't really understand the difference between it being account wide and legacy wide. Do you mean it like account wise as in if you have toons on different servers? I actually didn't mean it like that (only thought about the one server that the toon with the ignore is on) but yeah I can see now how account wide (with more servers) could pose a problem maybe, I wouldn't know I don't program these things, but it wouldn't be a bad idea either ^^.

  3. It is a shame because it more or less is a basic thing. The system itself defeats its own purpose when it works the way it does right now. The person that I ignore does not change from character to character, the same douche is behind all those characters and they should account for that.
  4. If there is ever a need for my to go as far as to ignoring a person, there has to be a relevant reason for it. That reason persists whether I am on one character or another. If there is a person I don't want to talk to, by talked to by, play with/group up one character that will remain the same for all of my characters so please, if I choose to ignore someone and I don't want to be grouped with that person don't mak me go to all my alts to ignore that person, just make it account wide. Thank you.
  5. I must admit I am not entirely sure how bolster works, though to me it would make most sense to have a certain amount of stats to have players "bolstered" up to. Let say you are supposed to have x endurance at lvl 50, you have y and bolster mechanic adds z in order for you to reach x. Once you reach stat x naturally, bolster wears off and getting better gear brings you above the potential gain of bolster. Not that seems as the most logical way for bolster to work since if bolster would only multiply your stats of the gear by a set amount instead of modifying based on how much you need to reach amount x, that would by itself beat the point of bolstering people in the first place. So I would assume it brings people to the same number x instead of multiplying stats by a set number, in which case it would be unexploitable. Since no matter how good your gear gets, you won't get better stats than the other bolstered players unless you reach lvl 55 and get lvl 55 gear. So if the mechanic follows the logic of "equal chance" then it should be fine, if it follows the other illogical method then yes, it is exploitable I assume.
  6. I don't see why they would have to? Doing PvE content is obv there to level up you cannot do PvE and question and not progress in the game, you can however do PvP and not progress levelwise if you chose to, have you had the option to do it. All I am saying is that, doing stuff in pvp (completing) does not make you progress in the story and therefore you don;t have a point of no return as you have with doing quests. The reason behind all this is to be able to keep playing the game and enjoying it whilst not moving along the story and outquesting/outleveling your friend that levels with you.
  7. In other words that aren't mine maybe, I can't tell but as the poster below you said, doesn't bolster sort of fix that issue?
  8. How exactly would they be abusing it? They cannot get lvl 55 abilities or gear, so they will be pretty much on the same level as other people in the bracket. But maybe there is something I am missing.
  9. Let players turn exp gaining in warzones on/off. When leveling with a parnter, that is on vacation (can't play), let the only way a person can play without a partner and not progress in the story is by doing pvp. But even if doing only pvp, you still gain exp and level. Now I am not saying to not be able to level through pvp, not at all. I am just saying it would be nice if there were an option where you could turn gaining pvp in warzones off so I can continue playing without outleveling or outprogressing my partner. Cheers.
  10. Hmm, I worried as much . Thanks for your time and effort to reply. I wish that you could turn of exp gaining somehow ^^.
  11. Hello there, I started a new character with a friend of mine and we wan't to level together (for the pure epicness of two sith characters, assassin and marauder, leveling as a group) and we're having a great time. But the friend of mine went on a holiday for quite some time and even though I do not mind waiting for him quests wise (not start or do any without him) I do get a little bored not being able to play that character so I wanted to start doing a little pvp in order to pass the time. However, when I pvp I also get exp so I level up naturally. I know that once a quest is grey, it does not give any or little exp and that is fine and I have no issues with that, but the question that is bothering me is the following; When I outlevel a quest (it becomes grey) but for my group partner the quest is still yellow, does my higher level hinder his exp gain from killing mobs and finishing quests? I know that for example when I boost a friend in a FP (me 55) he gets a lot less exp from killing mobs, so does that same mechanic apply to out of FP quests ? Thank you for your time.
  12. Well considering it is the US, a ton more people would be what, 6-7 more people?
  13. It's very annoying and I never, ever tolerate it in any group. Even if it is gear that I didn't want/need but a dps or a healer needs it and someone takes it for a companion, I either give them the option to give it to the person that needs it (since player need > companion need) or leave the group. If they want neither they get kicked. I furthermore inform the person's guild about his/her action, which once resulted in the person being kicked from the guild as they value their reputation on our realm.
  14. I've never even seen this trailer. Dunno how I could have missed it but I have to say this. If the game was half as cool as the video showed it to be, it would have been a great success. If it were as cool as the video shows it would have owned even WoW by far. The shame is, it is nothing like the video...which is sad as I was hoping this game to be a massive success with a massive player base. Now with the recent Cartel Market mania...I think its even farther from the video that it was before f2p. And slowly, with no longer having anything to do and finding myself bored on the fleet I question my sub every day.
  15. The reasoning behind my posting was the potential harm it could do in PvP. As I have stated before, this particular bug was a "help" when levelling my toon (though I noticed it quite later on around lvl 53) and I thought great, this is going to make levelling my undergeared char and companion easier and didn't really bother with reporting it but that was due the fact that I did not realise, back then, what it could do in the pvp world (since I don't pvp so it didn't cross my mind until I duelled someone). And since I haven't heard anyone talk about it, either in game or the forums and none of my guildies mentioned it either until I told them, I thought to myself that maybe they do not know about this issue so I decided to post about it. Yes, it was a nice thing to have for levelling and in PvE situations where it was helpful, but I imagine it being quite important in PvP where it could provide someone with an unfair advantage. Now I am sure the "hate" I am getting for this would be "praise" were you the one being killed by a sorc that could heal himself to full without losing any force . Be it as it may, it seems some people have said it got fixed which is good for PvPers but meh for PvEers but if you relied too much on a bug to succeed maybe you should re-think the class you are playing or the play style of yours. Anywho, sorry to all those who feel "cheated" by me reporting something BIOWARE already knew about. Take care.
  16. I found about this bug when I was levelling that character and it didn't seem to me, at first, that it would be harming anyone since it help me level. But then I duelled with a friend for fun and realised its potential and the harm it can do in pvp ( I am not a pvper mind you) and that is when I saw it as something that needed to be addressed.
  17. So I gave it some time to be fixed and didn't think it was that necessary to report this as I though the devs would surely notice but it seems I have been mistaken. There is a bug with the Sith inquisitor, that seems to only affect inquisitors and not sages, either way that bug gives an unfair advantage to the class and more interestingly it only affects one advanced class and not its mirror on the republic side. The talent in the lightning tree, something Effusion I believe its called, a talent that grants your next 2 damaging abilities a force reduction of 75% and a charge is consumed upon cast. Well on the Sith inquisitor (and only the inquisitor and not the sage) the same Effusion affects the healing spells of the inquisitor as well with one exception, the charges don't get consumed by healing spells. In other words, SI that get the Effusion proc, can cast all heals for literally no force cost for as long as those charges don't run out via time and not consumption. This gives inquisitors a very unfair advantage by being able to heal themselves up at literally no force cost what so ever (providing the Effusion procs, which it does almost all the time) and it needs to be fixed. I have a sith inquisitor, otherwise I wouldn't noticed the bug so no need for "omg you hate our class hater". This needs to get fixed asap.
  18. Hahah oh dear the Fox one was creepy as hell!!! Though I must say I never encountered these issues when I was playing (except for "companions" glitching and not doing what they were supposed to or getting stuck). Another things is many of these glitches are random and they can be overcome by just reloading the game, which is not the case of swtor. Crashing in Esseles, Black Talon, Foundry are not random, yes they can be overcome by tabbing out but its still an annoying bug. Group quests getting bugged quite a few times but that is expectable in a game. The main difference between SWTOR and Skyrim are, for SWTOR you pay a monthly sub, Skyrim you pay once and then you don't have to any more so they are not that obliged to "correct" things that went wrong, SWTOR on the other hand is and they are not making a good impression on me. Then again some WoW things took ages to repair, undo, change etc. But to the thread, will I unsub? No, not for now. Am I disappointed with the update? Very much so, even though I was looking forward to it as a sub I couldn't get the new features which is a ripoff considering I am paying them every freaking month. And even if I was willing to break my rule of never purchasing cartel coins for the customisation option, I couldn't because of their buggy purchasing method and now I am apparently locked from it for another month so, not only are they greedy as hell, they won't even let me purchase my CC which is a paradox xD. Truth be told that I am getting really bored of this game, slowly but surely, weren't it for my friend who I am levelling with I would have unsubbed by now since there is not much for me to do, and I don't want to spend too much time levelling my alts.
  19. I do not mind there not being class quests on Makeb because lets face it, our main story ended before the expansion and Makeb is too small to start a new, good quality story for everyone. I am hoping they will do that for an actual expansion. But I have to share my disappointment about the "missions". They were too much of the same, kill 40 of those, kill 50 of those, kill 60 of those, destroy this digging platform, then the next across the region, then come back to the one in the middle that could have been done second instead of being done third and therefore bloating time and "content", where you have to kill another 50 of said mob. Though I must say, the Shroud quest? Freaking epic, I loved it to bits (the puzzle parts and missions, not the "visit every planet" part) as well as the Seeds, though that one was a bit less entertaining. If we get more of those puzzle and thinking missions with less bugs I think that swtor has a bright future ahead of it as far as I am concerned.
  20. Yeah I thought as much but was hoping that the "love story" would reset or that they wouldn't really bother with SGR, but at least I can get rid of that annoying Twillek
  21. Thanks a lot for your reply, I really hope they are going to let me change gender as well ^^. Though I think Iresso might be quite surprised after that haha.
  22. Hey there, sorry for posting this if it has been already answered but I couldn't find the info I was looking for elsewhere. I have read various posts with players saying what is going to come in 2.1, but I cannot find a compiled list of changes, what I am more specifically interested in is the customisation. I am very much looking forward to this patch because of this, I have been looking forward to being able to change my characters instead of having to delete a character and start a new but before I get my hopes up I wanted to ask this; What exactly can I change with the customisation? Can I change race/gender/name? I red somewhere you can change race and name, didn't see anything about the gender but all the information has been provided by other players and they were guesses most of the time as far as I know. Is there a page where BW states what is going to be in the patch with concerns to customisation ? Thank you for your time and effort.
  23. Agent vs Smuggler deffo agent there, they both have skill obviously, but the agent has better training, precision, professionalism and does not rely on sheer luck (which seems to be the case, many times, for smuggler characters) Sith Warrior vs Jedi Knight really hard to tell, when we consider the fact that they have equal strength then I would say the sith warrior, purely because it has been stated many times that, when fighting a sith you not only fight the physical form of the sith, but also the dark side, therefore a jedi needs to concentrate not only on the fight with lighsabers, but also on his inner fight with the dark side Trooper vs Bounty Hunter similar to the Agent and Smuggler I would say Trooper but that depends on the status of the trooper or better said a rank, if they were both rookies, then I would say BH would win, because they play dirty, soldiers follow rules. If however the trooper were in a position of command, I think the trooper would win due to experience, availability of gadgets himself (higher ranking troopers surely have access to new tech) and due to being in command more personal freedom to do things "his way" as long as they get the end result. so it really depends on many circumstances but I would say that trooper in this instance Consular vs Inquisitor pretty much the same reasoning as with the jedi knight and sith warrior, a jedi, when facing a sith, needs to also resist the dark side, so he needs to fight on two fronts and therefore the focus is divided, a sith can just use his hate and dish out enormous power to defeat the jedi, sheer power wise its really 50% - 50% but due to the fact that jedi are good and sith are evil, therefore playing dirty tricks, I would say the Sith Inquisitor would win.
  24. If you want to put useless/bad stats on gear don't restrict commendations gain. You restrict me on getting bad gear? Retarded. Then again, every developer has to go through crap ideas to make an mmo good after several years. Just look at wow how long it took them to implement things we take these days for granted.
