  1. Just wanted to contribute to this thread by saying, Tier 4 crates drop 244 Relics about 99.9999999% of the time. If that is intentional, can Bioware atleast allow us to throw these 244 Relics at enemy players or npcees as some kind of weapon, to make us feel better. It does feel like the devs are griefing us with this never ending in your face 244 relic. If its not intentional then please fix that. But if it is, let us use it as some kind of weapon, that will stun enemy players stupid when we cold chuck it at them like some kind of oversized brick, so we can feel better and less rage and/or anxiety which isn't healthy for your customers.
  2. Ranos sounds pretty confident that whatever relationship you had with her, "its over". Dark Jaesa only cares about "Power". Let me stress "only" as in she doesn't care about you, because your name isn't "power". In her letter, she still had feelings somewhere in the time period of the 5 years you were in frozen carbonite. But by the time you speak to Master Ranos, "it's over". This is why I'm asking the community, who is Jaesa *&^%ing? Who or what was this darkness replacing you? Perhaps even that is over as well and now she's cold all out for "power" only. I put up a bunch of theories. What other theories do people have and what do people think of mine? And do people think we will find out by the end of the year?
  3. All of her updates revolve around "Wild Space". I take that as what is to come. Scourge, Ashara, Jaesa, Nadia and maybe even Kira all appear to be in the same place.
  4. Or better yet an Alert. But without all the pointless grind that makes players leave the game. Just a really cool mission.
  5. Master Ranos gives updates on the companions. She's a companion you could only get during the dark light side event that ended some months ago. But you can find video clips of her companion updates on youtube. From what I remember: There is another companion that you were able to get from the light darkside event called Darth Hexid. I couldn't find him on youtube. I'm not sure if he gives updates on lost companions like Master Ranos. In my opinion it was mean of Bioware to make the event geared for new players and not veteran players who were not interested in grinding stuff they have already done numerous times. I would of loved to have these two companions, but being subbed straight since 2011, I simply did not want to grind for that event. It would have made me leave the game. I saw many players leave the game because of that grind. Anyways, those are the updates I was able to find on youtube.
  6. Who is Dark Jaesa seeing? WARNING: Though 99% of this is speculation, some of this is a spoiler for those who have not finished the class story and/or started KOTFE's first chapter. That being said, click on the Spoiler button. You know you want to.
  7. I voted yes, to merge servers.
  8. It was a dark and cloudy night, and there we were, all 8 of us, from around the world trying to start an Operation instance. It wouldn't let us. The group finder was blank. We kept trying and trying. We dispersed the group and reformed and tried again and again. We were at a lost. None of us had ever encountered such a bug. After awhile, we began to realize we could of finished this Operation twice by now, but we couldn't even get it started. We gave group lead to someone else. The group finder still came up blank. We gave group lead to another guildee and still nothing. We dispersed and reformed again. .... another hour passed. We logged out and relogged. We would have gotten over 4k each in Conquest points. We reformed ... and still, nothing. And then one of our members wondered, what if one of us wasn't subbed. But we were all 70, and last I remember even someone who lost subscription can do end game content at least once a week. Eventually one of the members said he wasn't subbed. It was heartbreaking to lose him from the operation. He had been with the guild since the hey days of the Bastion server long before we moved the Harbinger Server that has no to very little open world pvp. He was just a kid back then, but has grown to a young man with us. He came back to this. And sadly we removed him from the group. But as we went through our adventure I couldnt help but wonder, why would EA's Bioware do this to us? There was no error message telling us that we werent all subbed and why punish this young man from doing at least one operation? He was subbed for years. Where's the gratitude for preferred players? Its not even like this Operation is brand new, its one of the old ones from like four years ago. Just a few months ago a preferred player could do at least one a week. This didnt just punish the preferred player, but also the subscribers who had no idea what the problem was, for hours. It also disgusted allot of us. The subs who got to the the operation, like myself started wondering are we supporting a system that is cruel to players like this? We know the company and executive board members have to get paid, but we also know they make immense amounts of money off of this game. This is what we ended up talking about. Our victory, didnt feel so victorious. We felt used. We felt as were were used to make our fellow member feel inadequate, some kind of mental extortion for his money. The next morning, he asked us on Discord how did it go, if we got our conquest points. It went well, we got our points. I myself got over 5,500 conquest points. He apologized for not being subbed. I thought to myself, is that exactly how the executives wanted him to feel? I logged off the game and wrote this. I just wanted to share my experience with whoever is sitting down reading this entry. I believe there is a fine line between earning money and pretty much corporate level abusive practices on consumers. Much of our discussion as we played through that operation was regarding, if we wanted to continue to support this kind of business .... I've been here, every month, for five years. I even got that little trophy statue thing, a dusty statue of Malgus on the corner of my desk. I'm not sure .... I'm just not sure anymore. Looking to the future, just not sure where. 9. GSF pops consistently on the Harbinger server even at 3-5am EST. I would have quit SWTOR back in 2013 if it werent for Galactic Starfighter. I think the OP is trolling.
  10. Ok, so it looks like everyone is keeping their 208 armorings. But it does feel like its extra punitive towards tanks, since the armorings are more important to tanks than it is to DPS and Healers, even with the bolstering. In the meantime, I have been doing more lowbie and midbie warzones which has been taking my time away from earning Command XP crates. But I just dont feel like doing 70 warzones let alone ranked if the gearing system is broken. Hopefully that all gets fixed by the end of the month. I also got kind of pushed away from Galactic Starfighter (one of the top three ways of earning CXP) because they took out the SR-03 paint job from the game, which was the only cool paint job for Republic scouts. And they took it our right when I started streaming again. It was mentioned that there will be added content to GSF this year, which is cool. I just want to look cool when I stream and I also want to have the armor I work hard for. By the way, since I started this thread I have done ops, grouped veteran uprisings, etc and still have no bonus set armor pieces, lol. It really is broken.
  11. I've been playing anywhere from 5-10 hours (even allot more) practically every single day since 5.0 prelaunch came out, and not a single set bonus piece. I understand this debilitating mechanic is being fixed this month, which is a good thing. For players like me, even though we were at prelaunch, it would be like starting 5.0 from the beginning once the system is fixed because we still don't have any set bonuses. I have 0 and I do GSF, Veteran Uprisings, and Warzones. But I wont do Ranked with 208 armorings. All of my crafting skills are maxed out, so I'm making the best of all the schematics I get from the Command Crates. I play many toons, but both of my Tanks (Guardian and Immortal) are in there 30's in Command Rank. All of their mods, enhancements, relics, implants, ear pieces, are 230. Yet I still have the 208 pvp armorings from 4.0 because I dont want to lose the set bonus. This is particular for tanks, because the 208 armorings means the armor rating is extremely low for a lvl 70 tank. A DPS toon can still do the expected damage with 208 armorings, but a Tank cant take the expected damage with 208 armorings. So what are Tank pvp'rs doing in 5.0? Did you give up the set bonus for the 230 armor ratings, or are you still keeping the 208 armorings for the set bonus?
  12. Subbed since the get, and all I got was the statue. 20,000 cartel coins would have been nice. Kinda stingy there guys.
  13. Sadly even though the patch is supoosedly fixed, im in the middle of redownloading the entire game from one of those community fixes. I wasn't aware Bioware was working on the issue and trying to fix it by tonight. Had I known, I would have waited. Now I'm downloading the entire game. It would have been nice to know that they were working on in it. Someone in else in my guild did the same thing and lost all of his UI customizations. I suppose, that's what is awaiting me, when I finally get to log on. Great stuff to come back to, when you get out of work and come home to play some Star Wars. Lots of fun.
  14. Hey guys, OP here. Yeah none of those services involve law suits or lawyers. These are all consumer advocate agencies. Granted the last link does have links to lawyers, but its a general page of general links to consumer advocacy groups and resources. Someone asked if the Better Business Bureau is effective. It can be. A fellow Guildee once had to contact the BBB with a problem he had in SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) under Sony. He was granted 6 months of subscription by SONY. I used to work at the BBB myself. What the BBB does is help mediate situations between consumers and the businesses they do business with. If the BBB finds the business at fault, they will recommend what actions you can take and what actions the Business can make and/or give the business a bad rating based on the quality of the resolution. This bad rating hurts companies from investors to consumers. Of course there are times, that the BBB does not find a fault. And yes a Business can refuse to interact with BBB requests, if they want a bad rating and feel they don't have a chance in hell in justifying themselves. This is why it's better to consult someone who specializes in this field, than to try to interpret a EULA on your own, or determine that the EULA is the end all and be all of a business transaction without consulting a professional. And its all free. Im in a good place at the Harbinger, everything is working fine for me, except that my guildees and I miss our flagships. I miss my strongholds. I consider them "missing". But everything else is working. I did this more for those who are paying the same amount of subscription fees as me but are receiving a significantly lower amount of services and features than I am. Someone has to look out for the community, especially since we are not all being treated the same. That being said, I'm no lawyer. And though I run a business, I never studied business. I did study marketing from the head of marketing from Phillip Morris (that's another topic on why this game suffers from frequent low populations). But what I really studied was Political Science and Anthropology. This is why I left the following links. Because these are the people that know. Not me and definitely none of the people on this thread trying to explain the EULA and why all attempts to fix a problem are 100% futile, lol! Better Business Bureau The Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton State of Texas Center for Consumer & External Affairs General Consumer Resources from Small claims court to legal assistance May the Force be with you.
  15. Lol, thanks for all the input about the EULA. It's just a EULA, it's not the end all be all of a person's investment into a product. A EULA can protect a business only so far. I wrote the OP for all the people I saw complaining on general chat on the Bastion on how nothing is working and all the other players stuck in dying servers. The game is not working for them. Ranked warzones, broken. Galactic Starfighter, broken. Group finder for ops and flashpoints, broken. Planets completely empty, no open world pvp, though these players have been subscribed to PVP servers for years. These players are paying for a service not being rendered. If players want to bring up the EULA and feel like there is nothing they can do, nothing they can ask for compensation because of this great all mighty and powerful EULA, just bring it up to the professionals, people who work every day dealing with these issues. They will explain everything and offer you options on what you can do. EA has gone too far here. They shouldn't mistreat their consumer base who really want to stay and play this game. I shelled out the extra $10 to move half of my toons. Today that would have cost me $100 extra money to fix broken services I have been paying for. That's not how business is done anywhere. There hasn't even been an announcement on a time schedule on when they plan to fix their broken servers or an explanation as to why subscribers in broken servers are paying the same fee as players on the Harbinger server where everything works, including Galactic Starfighter. The response so far has been to raise the price even more! And its not just for the players stuck in servers with broken features, but also for those who had to leave behind invested features like strongholds and flagships, expensive rare dyes and decorations that can no longer be found like the Yavin Battle Arena, etc. It's not just about a feature or two, but the entire experience for an entire community, which includes years of investment. This investment does not just include money, but time and energy. I didn't do this to down a game that I love. I'm doing this for the community stuck in servers where services are not being rendered and for those who lost while moving - For the gamers paying the same amount of money that I pay, yet can't enjoy all of the features of this game I get to enjoy. Why should they pay the same as me for less features? Respect that or don't. I'll leave the professionals to interpret the EULA for me, and for those concerned of the business transactions they are making with EA's Bioware. I'll be pushing forward with this as the days go by. So keep an eye out for this on other social media services. Don't listen to the negativity about how the EULA is all powerful. This hasn't reached the courts yet, and it shouldn't as no one at this point is trying to sue anyone. That's not what the Better Business Bureau does anyways. They help mediate a settlement between consumers and businesses and also rate businesses for consumers. The Department of Consumer Affairs also does not "sue" anyone. But they will begin to oversee things and watch for crooked business practices. If you want to sue, you would have to contact an actual lawyer. This thread isn't about that. It's about consumer rights and paid for services not being rendered. Here are those services again, in case you are one of those players paying the same fee as players in the Harbinger server for less features or broken features and/or feel like you are being cheated out of an experience you have paid for or are paying for. 16. Start to contact these social services if you feel like your guild is paying for services not being rendered. 17. Are you under a subscription agreement with EA's Bioware office in Austin Texas, paying for services you feel are not being rendered and can't afford to transfer your toons to another server by giving even more money to EA? Do you feel like you are owed months of subscription fees for not having services rendered throughout that period? Don't feel like you understand the EULA with EA"s Bioware and want help to see if you are being cheated or owed money back? Or maybe your entire Guild organization feels robbed losing their hard earned flagships after moving to another server. Or maybe you miss your stronghold, which could of cost up close to $50 to fully unlock, just to leave it. Or maybe you just feel cheated over all and wish to contact a professional to see what can be done. Here are some services you should consider contacting to see where you stand. Better Business Bureau The Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton State of Texas Center for Consumer & External Affairs General Consumer Resources from Small claims court to legal assistance My two Guilds left the Bastion server over a week ago by paying money leaving behind strongholds and flagships, where a significant amount of time, every and money were invested. Our friends still stuck in our old server feel cheated as well, because the services they are paying for are not being rendered. We pretty much all feel cheated. There has been no word of server merges, nothing, only that tonight is the last night to transfer your toons for less than a dollar each, before it gets raised to $9-$10 to transfer a single toon. We feel like Bioware is trying to make even more money from our broken services instead of making good with our business transactions by either fixing the broken product or returning our money, or any kind of compensation. Good luck and May the Force Be With You.
  18. Much has changed since then. Back then, the Bastion was the top pvp server in the US. Now the Bastion is in the bottom. All of the short term Star Wars fans who came to the game because of the movie have now gone. Rogue One hasnt been getting marketed as hard (no word on GSF content), and it appears Bioware Austin doesn't have the resouces to fix the dying servers fast enough. These dying servers are broken services not being rendered. These are paid for services that are supposed to give us access to game content (pops) that are no longer acessable in dead servers. That's the bottom line here. On top of that, we are being asked to pay real money to move toons to another server. The longer you have played and the more subscription money you have given, the more toons you have to pay for to move. So instead of money being returned to the consumer, the only possible solution is to pay more money. My services are not being rendered. Rest assured as of right now, we are no longer on that list.

    Dead?

Even the most populated server (Harbinger) is dying. They took too long releasing new warzones and there havent been any mention of any new ops, or making ops less grinding and repetitive and no word on new GSF content even though Rogue One is just around the corner. Robert Iger and Probst need to get together and have a meeting about what is happening here and the missed opportunities. It just sounds like a vacationing executive board (you simply never hear any of their names or input, except for their spokesperson and devs). They're losing insane amounts of potential money and we're losing interest. The fix of killing pvp and pve servers to avoid casuals fleeing pvp servers away from veteran MMO players who love open world pvp to the safety of restricted pve servers is a measure to stop the exodus, I know, but it is not the solution to the overall problem, which I am sure Jeff Hickman is fully aware. I admit it is rather concerning that Hickman hasn't told Musco to tell us how they plan to solve the dilemma. 2012 hurt this game so bad, it was never able to fully recover from all of the negative reviews and community outrage of the dying servers back then. It took Jeff Hickman an eternity (in gaming time) to bring about f2p and merge servers. Which by the way, notice how people forgot that the servers have been merged before, when they argue that the engine probably wont let them do that. Anyways, it appears Jeff Hickman is repeating the same mistake, in that the solution appears to be too far away and too late to be able to solve anything in a real way. Sure when they merged the servers and brought about f2p it saved the game, but the scars are still there. Many reviewers never even looked back to this very day (ie Angry Joe, Boogie), even after Makeb was released, Galactic Starfighter and Yavin and Rishi were released, the video game review industry has pretty much forgotten us, because of the sluggish response from Jeff's team in 2012. And these were all reviewers who went crazy for SWTOR as soon as they heard it was being made. Their final words on the result ... were final. Now I'm not signalling out Hickman here. Who knows, he might actually be a behind the scenes workaholic, we don't know, we never hear from him. So one can only imagine what Island the community pictures him being at all the time. I'm almost confident Probst cutting Hickman's team down to size with layoffs awhile back has much to do with it more than anything. But the fired never said a word about it, so we can't blame Probst and EA. I know the solutions are coming. But they don't appear to be coming fast enough to save our Guilds. Mine has already lost half its core to PVE servers and other games. Some came back to the Bastion saying that those servers are dying too. That running to the Harbinger isn't the solution. It never was, because its not free to move to another server, not even for founder subscribers who never stopped paying. A dead server means a broken service, that we are paying for. And now on top of this reality of having to pay money to bypass a broken service, a server with no pops (access) to game paid for content. I consider this money owed to the community. I imagine these type of posts will only increase as the weeks go by and get more ugly. Money is involved. Services are not being rendered. Problems are mounting. Kennedy and Iger need to hop on a plane to Austin and have a private meet with Probst and Hickman. How is Rogue One coming out and there is not even a cricket sound regarding Galactic Starfighter? Not even a *$&%^#*((#@*$@^^%$*#(($(&%*$*&^#&^@ freaking paint module for your starfighter. GET ME GEORGE ON THE PHONE!!!!!
  20. Of course you can. SWTOR is a an MMORPG . "Role play" is part of our genre. Just don't spam general chat with bad writing. Use guild chat and whispers but definately invite people to take part. And welcome to the Bastion.
  21. Disneyverse didn't do a bad job with their movie, I liked it. But it's still just a fan film. We all know Canon is what "WE" dictate. The only thing about the Expanded Universe is that no one is allowed to make money off of it. We never made money off of it, so it doesnt matter. Regarding SWTOR, Robert Iger never said SWTOR wasn't canon. His employee Kathleen Kennedy also never said it wasn't canon. It's simply not important what they say, because we all know theyre holding their tongue because of licenses and lawyers. We don't make a single penny from these supposed "official" agreements, so we are under no law or obligation to hold them up. But by all means Mickey Mouse, make us more fan films, we love them. And if you want us to call them canon, then throw us some money. Other than that, long live Mara Jade!
  22. This is EXACTLY why we are on an open pvp server! There is nothing they can do on the fleet, unless you request a duel. And when they go to Tythan or Coruscant, just call The Grassroots Jedi Movement. We'll handle it from there. Seriously, don't worry about it. Just call us, and we'll protect you. Don't bother coming here, keep it in the family and just call us. Just open up your social window and click on the "Who" tab, and search "Grassroots" and inform us. We'll go get them. If you want even more assist have one of your guildees send a Republic Fleetwide Alert calling all guilds to the hotspot. The Republic will then send its best to help you out. Welcome to the Bastion. If it's too much to handle, there's a safe server called the Harbinger, home of the casuals. It's a "pve" server. Most of our more delicate players moved there long ago. If you wish to stick with us, I recommend working on stacking up on your expertise, keybinding and making your UI geared towards survival. But never forget, no matter how bleak it gets, you are never alone. Call unto to us. But leave the devs out of this. They got more important things to do like working on new wz maps, fixing the chairs, pazaak and more GSF content. Bioware the situation is handled, nothing to see here, move along, move along.
