  1. HAHA! I try. But seriously, thank you Akevv, for streaming and editing the videos, and managing our server's Discord. Its a great place to bring us all together. And let's not forget to give Tommy a shout out, he kept tabs on everyone's placement in the tournament, and pretty much managed the whole bout, which wasn't easy to do. Honestly there were obstacles everywhere. Reddit, gave me a real hard time trying to get the word out. But eventually allowed it, yet still restricting me from providing any links on how to participate. It put a damper on getting vendors to come and for people to participate in the Look-alike Costume Contest and the Pazaak matches. I ended up getting squelched in-game twice for advertising the event, and so did some of our volunteers. That was a pretty hard blow, not being able to let players know, since we didn't have any influencers, besides SWTORista who gave us a shout out. Bless her. Because of the squelching, I wasnt able to manage the Pazaak matches, so we had to cancel that. Which was kind of a bummer since allot of people on Fleet showed interest in that. Also, since the event, I have seen players costumed as Optimus Prime, Asaaj Ventris, Aurra Sing, and a bunch of other players who looked like celebrities such as Van Damn, Ronald McDonald, etc, etc on the Satele Shan server who could of gotten a chance to win 300 million credits though the Look-alike Contest. I asked them why didn't they come, and they all answered the same reply, they didn't know it happened. On top of being squelched, people on fleet chat started spreading lies about the event, saying that it was rigged or a lie, etc. So there was an effort to prevent us from celebrating Star Wars and bringing some fun to the server. There was even a troll who came to the Discord, but that got handled pretty fast. An allied guild's Discord mod felt insulted that I invited their guild to come and deleted the announcement and banned me. It was kind of surreal seeing some of these reactions. In the end whatever efforts made to stop the Celebration failed because allot of people had a hell of a good time, from a whole butt load of diverse guilds. Allot of people came, even if it was just for the Player vs Player matches - and the hundreds of millions of credits in prizes. We also had a surprise event, allowing people of all levels a chance to win 10mill each in our hide and seek contest, which went pretty well thanks to Johkat. That had four winners as well - well one player won twice, lol! Over all, I would say despite the negative energy sent our way, the event was a full blown success. The neutrality of the Slippery Slopes Cantina allowed players from both factions to gather together and have a good time - which was the most important thing. For those asking earlier in this thread, why did we do this? We did it because the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim was cancelled due to Covid, so we wanted Star Wars fans to remember why we are all here. But we primarily did it, because its our server. The Satele Shan. Allot of us players who have been here since prelaunch or launch or the first expansion, etc, have a unique kind of pride for the Satele Shan Server. You saw it in how the organizers of this event organized it. Tommy, wanted the pvp tournament to be as fair and pro as possible. Akevv wanted to make sure it wasn't a guild promotion event, me too. HailyKev wanted the prizes to be damn worthwhile. And other volunteers, many of them return players from forgotten eras of SWTOR just wanted to help in anyway they could, bringing in new ideas for the Celebration, like Johkat, Russian Hacker and Zatrix. So many of us have been here a very long time. Many great PVE'rs from when the old Harbinger server held the crown. Many great PVP'rs from when the old Bastion server held the crown. The creation of the Satele Shan server brought our worlds together. It's something we're all proud of, because it was a marriage between two who held crowns with epic histories, along with the old Bergeren server. All the memories, the experiences, the wars, the unions, the friends, the break ups, watching people grow, graduate, retire, marry, divorce, pass away, give birth, having their children play the game and new generations of friends - it's all here, our home. So we gave back, as best we could. The Life Day event of 2021 will mark a decade of us being here. That's next year. Ten years is a long time. One day this will be no more. But before then, we're going to party some more. So I hope to see you all in the next one. Only at Satele Shan.
  2. I must have written close to a dozen tickets about a different Companion bug not mentioned here, and I keep getting told that it will be fixed in a coming update. This was many, many, many updates ago. Yet I get the same response. Ever since we were able to get our companions back through story, their mouths dont work. If I get a companion back through the Odessen alliance base, before they are released through story, their mouths work. But the second I get them back through story, their mouths no longer work. Im pretty disillusioned to have read the update on companion issues with not a single mention about this. Responses to my countless tickets on this have assured me that the developers are aware of this and will fix it soon. But I have been told this for probably three years now. It's really been that long. Reading the post simply lets me know, there is no interest at all in fixing this issue ever in the new future. So is this really the case for those of us with broken companion animations? Are we really not getting this fixed?
  3. I would be happy with a Thelma Louise type movie staring Jaesa and Nadia. In fact that was my hope for the Ossus release. Even though they both returned with Ossus, they werent working together in any way during the 5 years they were lost. It would be nice to learn that they did work together in some way as eternal frenimies. A trilogy about all the lost companions during those 5 years would be epic for us hardcore Star Wars fans. SWTOR is the last bastion where the EU is still canon. Unrealistic, I know. But if theyre going to make up something never seen before, it really wont be any different if they made a movie with loved SWTOR characters, except there would already be a base of ultra excited fans. A Republic and Empire in a brutal cold war, disrupted by the even more brutal Empire of Zakuul. Sith and Jedi genocide, Temples, cities, and entire civilizations crumble ... Starring, Saresh, Oteg, Scourge, Kira, Ashara, Blizz, Nadia, Jaesa, Risha, Bowdaar, Guss, Skadge, Scorpio, Kaliyo, Lokin, HK, and Vailyn. Pirates, Revanites, Smugglers, Datacrons, Novadives and Stings. A guy can dream.
  4. When you find out, please share it here. When I got my gaming laptop over a year ago, I promised myself it was only going to run Linux, but Im addicted to SWTOR, so I sold out and went with microsoft. But this information should be readily available for everyone. Linux is a beautiful OS.
  5. Thank you Bioware devs for giving us 100 symbols to choose from. I was scared being on the PTS and only seeing 26 symbols. Hey Eric, question. Is one those symbols or a few of them an upward fist grasping a lightsaber hilt?
  6. I got another one! Two hands holding a lightsaber, like in the original Star Wars movie poster as painted by Hildebrandt. Its easy to make it round because of the proportion of the gleam from the base of the blade by the hilt which allows it to also include the hands for a round well proportioned symbol. It would be a nice ode to Hildbrandt's work and it would seriously drive everyone crazy for it. Like every guild is going to want that one. Im hoping to still see a bunch of fists holding lightsabers to choose from. Yeah, I like that idea. I second that!
  7. Yeah I agree, dummy decorations has been something the community has been asking for since the very first day strongholds were released on the PTS. The dummy on Rishi is actually the only dummy in the entire game that has a dummy for healers to practice healing, though I dont understand it fully as there is a hovering droid right next to it ... so not sure what's going on there. Its a very cool feature to Rishi's stronghold. Hopefully with that new update Bioware is working on that allows them to add stuff more easily, we can finally get dummies to put anywhere on our strongholds and flagships. And hopefully we can finally get working chairs which sadly never worked since 2011. And more immersive Cantinas. Maybe it can help make the game a bit more social than watching the braindead conversations on general fleet chat, only to queue to a warzone where people are raging or a flashpoint where people dont even let you enjoy the cut scenes. Sorry Im going off subject .... yeah more immersive content like practice dummies.
  8. [This thread is only about the Heraldry symbols and details. Please stay on subject and make another thread if you wish to talk about something else, ie if you think Bioware should work on something different, bugs, heraldry decos and heraldry character flairs etc. They're important topics and deserve their own discussion, just not here.] Right now on the PTS you can form a guild or join one to see the Heraldry design window. There are only 23 symbols to choose from. Most of which simply don't look good, in my opinion. There are also only 15 backgrounds called details. Also not enough for all the guilds out there. For example there is only one tribal background, lol. We need a few dozen tribal ones, tech back grounds, complicated and simple linear patterns etc. Let's all help the folks over at Bioware come up with more ideas, so we can be pleasantly surprised with endless options to choose from to ensure unique Heraldry crests for every Guild. Here are some of my ideas, please share as many ideas as you wish! SYMBOLS: 1. A hairy wampa fist facing upwards 2. A gauntlet fist holding a lightsaber (Many different kinds, because everyone is going to want this one) 3. Star Wars wildlife: like Banthas, Wampas, Akk Dogs, Kell Dragons, Krayt Dragons, Anything Dragons, Kybucks, Neebrays, Space slugs, etc. We need a few dozen of these. 4. A Krayt Dragon egg 5. More Kyber Crystals 6. Different starfighters and starships 7. Twilek Dancer (a female one and a male one) 8. Chance cubes 9. Pazaak cards 10. Monster and alien faces (smiling and angry) 11. Elemental nature symbols like more mountains, rainbows, thunder (storms), waterfalls, a tree, sunsets, moons, paths, clouds, mists, fire, a rock, 12. Towers and other structures like Zayne Carrick Station 13. Embracing alien lovers 14. ... and did I say many versions of a gauntlet fist holding a lightsaber hilt facing upwards? Oh I did? Oh.. oh oh oh, my my my bad.
  9. We ended up doing it anyways. Scroll up for our review. Thanks for responding to us.
  10. For those interested in seeing the Heraldry Design window, you have to start a new a guild on the PTS or be invited into one, like I was. To start a guild, you need at least 4 other players to start one at the Guild registrar at Fleet or Coruscant. Sadly there is hardly no one ever on fleet to help you. You might luck out, maybe. Its probably best to beg your guildees to download the PTS, which is kind of annoying. Or get invited into one. Once your invited the guild leader has to give you a rank where you have privileges to be able to use the Heraldry design window. Otherwise you wont be able to see it. I urge the folks over at Bioware to update their Heraldry announcement post about this, so our wonderful community doesnt bust its balls trying to figure this all out. And to also be more responsive towards players asking for help on how to do it. Or hire someone and pay that person a minimum wage to be on 24/7 to invite people into a guild to see it. I would take that job. That being said, here's my review. The Guild Heraldry design window is very customizable, color wise. The "symbol" has two different colors and the "detail" (background) has two different colors. And you can pick any color you wish to accommodate those color slots. I give the coloring options a score of 5 stars out of 5. Now for the bad part, regarding the Heraldry design interface. Im going to be tough here, because this is where it counts. You only get 23 symbols to choose from. That is a big huge no. Please add about 80-200 more symbol before this launches in April. I myself, am looking forward to a fist symbol facing upwards. Make that happen, please. A nice big furry wampa fist, for example. Starfighter enthusiasts in guilds for GSF would like at least a few dozen different symbols to choose from. We need more lightsaber symbols, blaster symbols, alien/monster faces (smiling and angry), sunsets, elemental symbols ... just a whole butt load of symbols. 15 details (background) is also a big huge no. We would require a good 80-200 more back grounds. I noticed there is only one tribal like symbol. We need dozens of those, come on. Techy backgrounds, nature backgrounds, simple shapes background, complex lines, simple lines, etc. Its ok, if this update gets delayed to make this happen. Im fine with delays. We need our options, and we need to feel unique. There is no character flair for the heraldry symbol, sadly. I think we would all like that very much. I also didnt see any options for banners for the guild stronghold. I checked the deco merchant and the prefab droids. I didnt see anything about it. That seems weird to me, so perhaps Im missing something here? Our guild strongholds and flagships need these Heraldry banners. I believe we are all expecting that as a given. Otherwise I do not understand what the purpose of this is all about. It does appear on the Guild page and the Guild profile. Now we need it to be on banners for the flagships and strongholds. And Character Flairs. Over all the Guild Heraldry system, gets 2.4. stars out of 5 stars. The lack of symbols, backgrounds to choose from and the fact that there are no decos for it or character flairs, really hurts the whole idea of having this system implemented. But I believe allot of this can be fixed before April's launch. And again, I dont mind if the release is delayed. I know allot of people complained about this because they want more content. I also want more content, but I do appreciate that these MMO basics are being implemented. Im excited about it, and I want it to be done right. The preview window is really cool. You can now preview emotes, which is awesome. But you cant preview emotes from linked emotes on the chat window. A few things like the "ancient Sith Lord's warblade" does not animate correctly in the preview window. Its not perfect, but it is significantly better than what we currently have. You cant preview character flairs though. I did enjoy previewing everything in Collections. I am sure it will encourage many to buy stuff from the cartel market and grind harder for credits to shop at the GTN. Over all I give the new preview system a 4.6 out of 5 stars with a "Hiddenpalm ****** SEAL of approval! I am in LOVE with the new "executioner lightening tuning". And the Tempest Warden's Armor set is perfect for imperial diehards. More of that please. The Executioner armor set is a little too wacky for my taste. The blue and gold color crystal is awful on regular lightsabers but looks amazing on the more expensive lightsabers with the blade effect. Based on what I saw, the Heralds of Victory update gets a 7.1 out of 10 stars. I am sure the score will go up, on April. Please do your best to give us those 80-200 more symbols and details (backgrounds) with heraldry decos and character flairs.
  11. I think it might take some time for a toon to finish copying, but Ill try to get on now.
  12. Ok sounds good. When will you be on? Im going to copy an imperial toon right now.
  13. So everyone in the Guild gets to see the Heraldry system or just the Guild leader? Did you have people form a guild with you? Is that what you did? Im currently asking guildees to download the PTS, which I feel bad in doing so. Though people are happy an update to the preview system is coming, they dont feel it is necassary to fill up their hard drive with the PTS just to see it before it comes out. They're happy enough to know its coming. I would really like it if Bioware responds to this. Third post where, I am asking for a response from anyone in Bioware. Is there a way to preview teh Heraldry system, without having to form a guild in th PTS server. Im using a toon that is already a guild leader on the Satele Shan server. But that didnt carry over in the copy.
  14. Thanks for responding but this can not be the case. Why would Bioware write an article about Guild Heraldry and then in the very same article give instructions on how to download, install and copy your toons for the PTS? Which by the way is a very long process. I was on the PTS for at least 3 or 4 hours and I was the only person on Fleet for the whole entire time. You cant form a guild like that. And if 4 times that were on, and if they all agreed to be in a guild, only one of them I imagine would be able to actually see the heraldry features, since I imagine only the Guild leader can access that. It does not make any sense. Can anyone from Bioware please respond to this thread and explain how to preview the Heraldry feature?
  15. Ok, so I am here on the PTS server and I cant preview the guild heraldry feature because my copied toon is not in a guild. There are a total of 1 people on fleet. Which is me. I dont have my keybindings, my personal UI is non existent, cant load any of the ones I have saved on the real server. I dont even have my outfits or access to my legacy or most of my storage. But thats not important. I didnt even get to choose where to download this at, my C drive is over loaded and wish to do what I came here to do and delete the PTS download as soon as possible to keep my PC healthy. How do I preview the Guild heraldry feature? Please tell this is possible. It should be, because there are instructions on how to get on the PTS on the very article about heraldry.
  16. So tanks that were never interested in being "skank tanks" will do even less damage than they already do. It sounds like they are the ones who will suffer the most here. There is already a massive tank shortage in the game to begin with. How many ops groups or ranked groups have given up forming because they haven't found a tank to join them? An increasingly growing number. What they need to do is increase the amount of damage a tank's taunt mitigates. Compare Protection scores to Damage or Healing scores. Protection scores barely ever go over a mill and tend to stay under 300k-600k if youre not grouped with a healer. Meanwhile dps and healing scores are often seen going from 2mill-6mill. Threat level is only important in PVE, yet players become skank tanks for PVP. And this nerf impacts traditional tanks the most. This was a lazy fix. Just another example on how the SWTOR development team has been trolling the subscriber base. If you don't think we don't see the extra effort being made to make SWTOR unplayable and less enjoyable and less user friendly, we see it with every patch. Go fix Conquest and please find ways to encourage the community to play with their alts. Stop trolling us.
  17. farm, farm, farm, farm and farm. farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm.farm, farm, farm, farm and farm. In the year 2025, video game reviewers on youtube will look back at this, as one of those moments, akin to the NES karate kid 2 video game or one of those old video games with no saves or atari's ET. Why not wait until after conquest is fixed at the very least, or atleast a year after the 236 augs? I have other toons to work on. I gotta go back and farm on the toon I just max geared. It's wack. I wasted so much cartel coins to make my toons look amazing and there's no time to play them. It's just wack. If you want players to stay with the game, encourage them to play their alts, so players can play different classes and not get bored to *&@^#*@@ death.
  18. Compared to other MMO's, this one feels like an extra effort is made to make everything less user friendly and less fun. It's hard to make sense why, it's become like this. It's not even inviting to f2p players who might eventually subscribe to help fund the game. You can recruit every day, and most of those players just quit the game. If you dont recruit every single day your guild dies in two days. Trying to explain end game gearing to new players is challenging. It's not even my job to do so. It's like an activist who has to volunteer his/her time and energy to help fix something in a community because the system is busted, except this isn't activism. It's a video game. I'm tired. I don't even work this hard in my real life job. God help us. Here I am giving up on looking for the shady market broker dude from the conquest objective ... Maybe I'll take up alcoholism. update: 500k.... to do the most boring mission in the history of SWTOR. sigh ... Yup, we are being trolled. update 2: Im still here by the Hutt dude at Outlaw's Den, and an enemy faction player walked by me, but he was blue, because it was the lame pve instance .... even though its a pvp area .... So I couldnt attack the player. So basically this mission is the most pathetic mission on SWTOR. So I went to the pvp instance, and you know, no one plays in the pvp instance because players arent encouraged to do so and yeah .... no one here. Boring. Ultra, ultra, mega, boring. Is it possible that Bioware can return our subscription money for the month? Everything is broken and boring. I feel trolled.
  19. Will Darth Hexid give updates to the updates Master Ranos gave on our lost companions? For those who don't know what Im talking about look up Master Ranos on youtube. She gives updates on our lost companions that were Jedi or Sith. Hexid being a contemporary of Ranos, Im hoping Hexid will be as interesting as Ranos. Ranos is even a crew member in Galactic Starfighter. People are scared that Hexid will have no dialogue whatsoever. We all know the dialogue with Hexid was recorded. It would be a major waste not to use that and it would disappoint so many of us. It will also be disappointing to us if Hexid says the same things Ranos had already said. In short, it would be ultra sweet if Hexid gives updates to what Ranos has said. Give us a taste of the whereabouts of Jaesa, Nadia, Ashara, Kira and Scourge. I can smell whats coming. I just want a taste. A little tiny taste.
  20. From what I gathered through the years. Players want a GSF flashpoint and a GSF operation. They want something revolutionary similar to what is seen in BF, where the fight begins in space and ends up in the ground or inside a space station and vice versa. New maps, would of course always be welcomed. As playing the same maps over and over again can fatigue players. Regarding the learning curve. It would be extremely helpful to allow a player to duel another player in one on one GSF matches. This will allow veteran players to teach new players how to play and also allow players a chance to try out new components without having to test them in a group match, which can cause a team to lose because of new players not knowing how to fly their fighters or use its abilities. So many players quit after being farmed by veteran players who don't let them learn how to use their starfighters. This would help ease that and level the playing field. Also, a way to target your teammates would be awesome, this way you can find them and support them easier. This will make it easier for players who come in feeling alone even though they queued in as a group, to not be alone. Its easy for a Scout to leave group to take down a distant enemy gunship, leaving his/her teammates open to attack.
  21. The GSF Vendor can sell: -Tokens that allow you to change Requisition to Unassembled Components and vice versa. -Tons of new paintjobs for your starfighters. Ones of designs like Krayt Dragons, Mandolorian, Jedi Sith, Black Sun, Balmorran Resisitance, Banthas, Rancors, Twilek models, Revanites, House Organa, House Thul, Czerka Corp, Hutt Cartel, Havoc Squad, Green Jedi, etc symbols. This would make all SWTOR players go ******* crazy. -Decorations are always nice. But let us put our own Starfighters as decorations, the way we designed them with our unique paint jobs, gas canisters, etc. Have the colors come out as smoke coming from the exhaust and blasters.
  22. Interesting that you said this. It may very well be she doesn't have time for anyone, because of her focus on seeking power ... unless there is someone who could lead her to that power like Lord Scourge trying to free Malgus from frozen carbonite because Malgus may have the spirit of the Vitiate inside him, for example. A story regarding the return of Scourge only makes sense if it is connected to the Vitiate, who made him immortal in the first place. According to Ranos, Scourge is seeking a way to end his immortality. Regarding Kira, I speculate that she was captured by Arcan and also put in frozen carbonite like Malgus. And all that is said regarding Nadia is that she left to wild space and "never returned". This wild space according to Master Ranos involves Scourge, Jaesa, Nadia and Ashara. However this goes down, I get the feeling that Bioware's writers are preparing the best stories yet to be told in SWTOR's history. Bioware can't accomplish that if any of these memorable Jedi and Sith characters died while you were frozen.
  23. From reading this whole thread I gather most didn't get why Appius said this. First off, Valkorion has died many times and has come back many times prior to being Valkorian. Scourge has been there from the very beginning of that, back when planet Nathema was still a thriving world. So a story of Scourge returning would be EXTREMELY AND UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING if it doesn't have something to do with Valkorion. Valkorion made Scourge immortal. Scourge is at the center of this eternal feud between the Emperor and Revan. SWTOR is at the center. Yes it is true Valkorion is dead. But the Emperor may be alive. And Malgus is also still alive. What we know is this. Malgus lived, and was captured by Arcan, put in frozen carbonite and given to Valkorion as a present. According to Master Ranos, Lord Scourge is miserable with his immortality and is searching through lost worlds in wild space looking for ancient artifacts to end his immortality. My theory, is this. And it is not a huge leap from what we already know. Malgus in frozen carbonite is a back up plan for the Emperor, a tether. When Valkorion died, his spirit somehow retreated to Malgus, just as he did to you during KOTFE and KOTET. Lord Scourge somehow concludes that by releasing Malgus from frozen carbonite, he can somehow use the power of the Emperor locked inside Malgus to free Scourge from his immortality. This will somehow also involve Jaesa, Nadia and Ashara who were all last seen in wild space according to Master Ranos. And even Kira, who I theorize is in frozen carbonite. Master Ranos said that Kira was last seen losing a battle between her forces against Arcan's and it is unknown if she survived. There is also a possibility that Valkorion never comes back, that it is Vaylin. It is possible that Vaylin learned from her father on how to haunt the body of a force sensitive in frozen carbonite. Or maybe ... The Emperor is in frozen Malgus and Vaylin is inside frozen Kira Carson - and Jaesa and Scourge want in on this. Nadia and Ashara are going to have to team up, because Jaesa and Scourge together is nothing but bad news. However this goes down, it appears Bioware has yet to tell the best story ever told in SWTOR. Sadly, 6.0 is far away from now, and if all goes according to plan, I should of finally ended my nonstop subscription to SWTOR since 2011 by then and enjoying a fully released Star Citizen. It saddens me that Nadia, Jaesa, Kira and Ashara have been gone for so long. I don't want to wait until 6.0, and it doesn't seem likely I will be around that long. I remember when they were first taken away, thinking they wouldn't be gone for more than a month. Man, was I ever wrong. I would like to believe these stories will surface around the time of the next Star Wars movie. I would like to believe.
