  1. I saw the screenshot recently, but is it really from 2012?! That means they have been working on this planet since 2012??!! Ok my expectations are now really high, lol! I'm expecting a planet as big as Alderaan or Hoth now. And I'm hoping a big part of the planet is PVP based, with dynamics never before seen in this game. Star Wars Tales of The Jedi I: The Golden Age of The Sith, 1996. Ziost is introduced in the 3rd issue of this 5 issue story arc. Respect to Dark Horse, for everything. Star Wars would have died long ago without you.
  2. I remember thinking Manaan was just a teaser to a more expanded Manaan that included underwater mounts and swimming with two new playable races from water worlds. Those were my expectations for Manaan. I figured, Manaan and underwater gear were implemented to give us a taste of what was to come, like some kind of really cool marketing from Bioware. It turned out to not even be a planet, just a building with a flashpoint or two. My expectations for Xiost is barely a thought in my mind. I appreciate it as new content, but its just another flashpoint to me. Unless it's another Rishi and Makeb, which is more acceptable. I would appreciate it even more if we got more honesty from Jeff Hickman. If its a planet then cool, advertise and market a new planet. If its just a building or a tiny moon, then be honest. Players won't get upset, they'll be like oh cool a new flashpoint or a new moon instead of feeling lied to. Manaan isn't a planet, its a building. Jeff Hickman lost allot of trust here. If they wanted to make another Ilum that would be interesting. We could use a new PVP planet and definitely more PVP content. The community knows something was in the work for pvp, and are rightfully getting impatient because of the lack of communication. The 2015 roadmap isn't a 2015 roadmap. Last I checked it only talked about February, and a costume designer. That's not a roadmap for a year. I'm not sure what Jeff Hickman is doing here. I'm wondering if everything is ok with the folks over at Austin. If projects are hitting obstacles, I think the community should be told. Its a very loyal community, and I am confident if a vision was shared with us, we would support it and be more understanding. But we don't know what the Vision is, we don't know what road we are on, we don't know what is to come. All we know, is what we see, as we are not being told much. And that is not good business in this industry. Look at how Star Citizens does marketing. Their fans know the vision. We used to be the same, we had vision. Today, we don't have that. The open world PVP in my server is getting a little awkward. Thorazan, Tatooine is always full of action between the factions. Today on my server its a place where players challenge each other for friendly duels. Which isn't bad, but its not the same as an all out battle between strangers, where back up is needed from the fleet. I wouldnt say it lost its appeal, but its getting there. Factions don't really feel as opposed to each other as much as we used to be. It's still there of course, but I'm seeing way too many alliances and friendships between the factions. You approach a confrontation between factions, and what you see is a bunch of players standing around looking at a dual. Which is cool, but not when it becomes the norm. We need a new faction, to help catch up with all the lost time not put into new PVP dynamics, including GSF/WZ maps. We need chairs that work. We need the Cantinas to function with Pazaak and Dejarik mini games that also work on mobile devices along with GTN and crafting mobile apps. We need Jeff Hickman to put up a fight. All of the SWTOR players who are watching the marketing done by Chris Roberts from Cloud Imperium are being won over. Jeff Hickman needs to fight! Shareholder Board members see this too. They see Chris Roberts communicating, they see him putting on sci fi suits when communicating what projects they are working on with their community. They see Jeff Hickman introducing the idea of a crossserver, telling devs to ask us for new ideas for pvp maps, trying to enter in esports, etc and then going BLACK, complete silence because a mere obstacle. What is going on? Is this Disney forcing Bioware to stay silent??? We see it even worse with Dice's Battlefront. Or am I seeing into it too much and its really just Jeff Hickman not doing a good job at sharing the vision with the community? Am I being unfair comparing him to Chris Roberts? Maybe, but this is the competition. And their marketing beats Bioware's. So in short my expectations for Xiost or Ziost or whatever is somewhat appreciative, but I'm with the camp that is looking for more pvp maps and new stuff like pazaak, working chairs, stuff players are beginning to feel somewhat embarrassed to ask for. Making npc'ees mention Sabaac over and over again in 3.0 even though its from a different timeline, didn't make me forget about Pazaak. I don't even want to think that was the purpose of mentioning Sabaac. But it feels that way. It was mean. It felt mean. Anyways. Jeff Hickman put on a starfighter suit, make a video of you walking through the film studios of the coming Star Wars movies, and talk to us. We want you to talk to us. Musco is great and all, but at the end of the day we all know he only says what he is told and paid to say by his supervisors. We want to see more Jeff Hickman talking about how excited he is to introduce a new open world PVP planet with numerous PVP arenas of 2v2, 4v4, 8v8, 16v16 all over the planet WITH VOICE ACTED STORY. It's time to remember who we are. GIVE CHRIS ROBERTS A GOOD BLACK EYE. FIGHT!
  3. The cartel market actually works with other aspects of the game. GSF came out, cartel items for gsf. Strongholds came out same thing. So its not the cm, keeping wz/gsf maps away. Its got to be something else. I'm hoping its preparation for esports since they are trying to start an Ops tournament.
  4. Hey Jeff Hickman, this quote above really hurt my feelings. I sincerely hope the delay for new warzone/gsf maps is because youre planning to enter us into esports, and you want to make it as big as possible. Because Mr Hickman, Darth Overtone is making me cry and I along with endless subscribers can not afford to subscribe to two games. We also need the chairs fixed, so we can sit on them properly. Thanks. ... pazaak ...
  5. Incorrect. People definitely came out for GSF, hard. And folks still do. The problem as to why the population is lighter now is obviously due to the lack of new maps and ships. I actually resurrected a dead guild when GSF came out to help the pub side which was losing allot at the time, but I tired out all the players, playing the same maps over and over again. So only a few from my guild still do GSF. I gave GSF a break until new maps come out, and I was a big GSF buff, I even started twitching because of it. But I havent twitched SWTOR since I got bored of the 4 GSF maps. Same thing is happening to warzones, just not as bad because warzones has more maps. I suspect bioware is planning to enter SWTOR into esports and thats why there hasnt been any new pvp maps for gsf and even longer for warzones. They had an ops tournament planned recently but cancelled it due to bugs. I figured that was going to be the first step into esports, but it appears we may have to wait longer. -_- If that's not the case then BIoware must be planning to abandon SWTOR soon. But I doubt that, highly. It breaks my heart. GSF is so awesome, but its been forgotten by the Bioware executives for so long, I'm not sure Jeff Hickman will ever do anything for it again. Why? I dont know. But I really hope its for esports, and that we will get pleasantly surprised real soon. What's going on Jeff?
  6. aahhhhhhh Jade Empire, what a freaking master piece that game was. I remember reading about in the mid 90's on how they are going to work on a fantasy kung fu game that will take ten years to develop. When it finally came out, I was too busy organizing against the wars to play it. But I finally got my hands on it some years later and got to experience it. They released KOTOR for mobile devices, I'm wondering why they are not doing the sasme for Jade Empire? I hope they reboot this game too. All of these recent RPG's from Skyrim, to Bioshock Infinite to Alien Isolation are amazing titles in their own right, but none of them have this magic, that we all saw in Jade Empire. Welcome back to gaming. Just make sure to stretch out every now and then, and to spend time with nature. I;m about to go walk in the blizzard .... need a new headset.
  7. There are plenty of huge active guilds on the Bastion. Finding an "active" one should be really easy. Just look at the conquest leaderboards and choose your pick. But the real question is, what are you offering a Guild? Why isn't your guild active if you are already in it, wanting it to be more active? How come you are not recruiting for your guild? How come you're not asking for more responsibility like being able to remove inactive members to make room for new active members? How come these things are not being done? What are you doing? This is why I ask, what are you offering? They will probably move this thread to the bastion server section of the forums. But I just wanted to give you some perspective from the Guild leader's point of view. We don't like doing all the work by ourselves, we also like to play. Anyways, I hope this helped in some way. Good luck.
  8. We have a martial arts training ground garden on our flagship ... but without the training dummies it's really just a lame garden. =(
  9. Very early today around 4am EST, I had gone to Tython to recruit for The Grassroots Jedi Movement as we don't have too many players on around that time, besides a few Australian members. I went to my usual favorite recruiting spot, by the Mark I-V training droids to spot promising new recruits based on skill and potential. I had notepad out with all of my recruiting quotes ready to copy n paste. I found my favorite quote to copy, so I ctrl-c'd it, went back to the game and the half second right before I was about to paste it on general chat, someone posts a quote from Leonard Nimoy. It was a powerful one, which sadly, I can not recall. It was 4am. Nor can I recall who posted it, nor did I take a screenshot, regrettably. What I do remember, is seeing how the chatter immediately ended after that ode to Nimoy was posted on general chat. I didn't paste my recruit pitch. I along with everyone from the Bastion server on Tython at that moment in time joined together in a moment of silence. I had to cancel my recruiting operation, because I didn't want to break the silence. No one on Tython did. Which is why I'm sharing this story about our community, here. This isn't a post about how great Leonard Nimoy was. It's more about us, and what that actor and his mind meant to us. It was a long silent moment. I walked and didn't run, back to the transport ship. Messed with my inventory and gear and even my graphics settings. Almost an hour went by, and Nimoy's quote were still the last words posted on chat. I got on the next transport and left Tython, proud to have been an alumni of the Jedi Temple on Tython. Rest in freedom, Leonard Nimoy. We'll all join you in the Force, one day.
  10. I think something is up. If you check the producers road map for 2015, it's just a tease. There's nothing much written about 2015 at all, besides what happened this month and the new outfit designer coming out. At the same time, we havent seen any updates to GSF in a long time, and warzones even longer. Is this complete bioware neglet and our game being put into a coma? I don't think so. I think we're about to get a big surprise. Here's why. SWTOR Operation Victory Tournament It's easy to get upset, that this is only a tournment on ops and not pvp. But let's look at this for a second longer. I speculate, the reason we havent been seeing any new maps in warzones or gsf is because bioware has been saving them for esports. The Ops tournament, is just phase one. We'll first enter the world of esports with this pve niche, get folks interested in the game, and then we'll get hit with the warzone esports. How else would Bioware enter esports? And why else would they enter esports? It makes sense, first ops/pve, then warzones/pvp as SWTOR always took that route. So they must be and have been working on warzones and galactic starfighter this whole time. I don't think we're going to get 1 or 2 maps either, I think it's going to be big. Bioware, am I wrong? I wouldn't mind seeing some ingame online video streaming of these matches, but better than in SMITE. When I say ingame, I mean like going into a Cantina and watching the match there. Ideas for late 2015. And then maybe by the holidays, we'll get to play dejarik and pazaak? I noticed sabaac mentioned allot after 3.0, but we all prefer pazaak for this timeline. Am I asking for too much? ... maybe being able to see gsf and warzone matches on mobile devices by 2016?
  11. A splinter group just split from a huge guild that now only does pvp. The splinter group were all the pve players of that guild, which always held in the top 5 spot in conquest events. Theyre called "The Order of The Grey Wardens". If PVE is your thing, I highly recommend these people. They also use teamspeak, though personally I prefer mumble because its less on the resources, more secure, and safer than teamspeak. But that's besides the point. Great people, here's the link to their website. "The Order of The Grey Wardens"
  12. It's ridiculous already. DEAR BIOWARE HIRE MORE STAFF!!!!!!!!
  13. No. I think this i sthe third patch since the expansion and still, the expansion is broken. No fix for the datacrons. Lag still everywhere. I don't know how many employees they currently have after they fired numerous employees awhile ago, but they need to start hiring.
  14. Not even with this latest patch. Nothing about the datacrons in the patch notes. So almost two months later, the new expansion is still broken.
  15. Not even with this latest patch. It's just a broken expansion, it appears they gave up on.
  16. Damn dude, you've been trying to get this since the 11th of December? -_- Still not fixed. Even with this latest patch.
  17. No fix for it on this latest patch either. How they are still charging for the 3.0 expansion is beyond me. It's criminal.
  18. ITS STILL BROKEN!!!! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT hand over the datapackets from the three grophets for the neuro buff, as you will have to do it all over again, because the bug is still there. The rock is not clickable, and the light beam never turns off. I read the latest patch notes, and apparently THERE IS NO FIX FOR IT. NO ETA WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED EITHER.
  19. That's the general feeling I'm getting too, as if they had layed off another 100 employees and we were never told. How long is it going to take to fix the Rishi datacron??? Why did the slot machine take precedent over the broken datacron and lag issues? Just what kind of super computer is needed to play this game? I've wasted so much money upgrading my computer 3 times just to play this game right, and still it lags. First I bought a computer in 2011 just for this game alone. Couldn't play it at full graphics. I remember being stuck in Alderaan for like half a year of subscribed pay because it just wouldnt work without the horrible lag in 2012. Then I updated the memory and video card, still it lagged. Then the video card (again) and power supply and for some reason this game demands more than Dragon Age Inquisition, as it still lags. The other day one couldn't even enter a room in Tython without the game stopping. All my guildees do is complain about lag in numerous planets, from Rishi to Belsalvis. Really good GSF pilots are refusing to play because they're saying its still broken too. I'm losing guild members to other video games this year more than ever. And not even new games, I'm talking about Lord of The RIngs Online and WOW. WHY ARE WE LOSING PLAYERS TO LOTRO??? Just what is going on? Seriously. Dear Executives, STOP FIRING YOUR EMPLOYEES AND GIVING YOURSELVES RAISES!!! ITS SHOWING IN YOUR PRODUCT. Humble yourselves and HIRE MORE STAFF. EXPANSION 3.0 IS STILL BROKEN. In retrospect, 3.0 was and still is a disaster for the paying players.
  20. It wasn't a small vocal minority at all. When these forums first opened, the entire community was divided into two camps between those who want a SWG2 and those who wanted a Star Wars WOW. The demand was so great that Repopulation is advertised as a game veterans of SWG would love. Even SONY about a year ago said they are making something that will appeal to SWG fans. These are competitors to EA/Bioware and even they heard the cry. Do you have any idea how many SWG vets are playing this game? Every single SWG fanatic is here, with guilds named after their favorite SWG servers. If it wasn't for the SWG fans, we would have never had Galactic Starfighter or Strongholds, which was BIoware's response to what SONY and Repopulation were threatening to do when they reached out to the SWG vets with in the SWTOR community, claiming they were building a home for us, where our expectations and dreams are being acknowledged.
  21. My biggest regret was not joining the RP-PVP server. I just thought it was redundant, because this is a mmoRPg and to top it all off, this is Star Wars. Anyone who grew up with Star Wars understands, it's all role play. A story that invites you to participate, be it through video games, action figures, Halloween, cosplay, graphic novels, video games, board games, etc, it's an inviting world, where you play as if you really are in it. I can't leave my server now, because of the hundreds of fellow guild members on both factions. What I learned is that way too many players don't realize they are playing a role playing mmo and that they are by default inside the Star Wars Universe. People pick the Jedi class, not understanding anything about it. They pick the trooper class not understanding anything about it. They think in terms of stats and numbers, as if it was more of a card game than a mmo role playing game. The game itself was introduced by a huge cosplay scene at Times Square. Gamers need to understand, once you spark that lightsaber, you better know how to use it. This isn't poker.
  22. HA! You beat the entire Torch guild!!! LOL!!!!! They got you that second time though. They mostly do ops. I never see them in warzones. What they were doing in Alderaan goes beyond me. Maybe it was some conquest thing.
  23. DAMN! When did Twitch start muting videos because of music??? That's horrible!
