  1. Sounds bland and boring tbh =/ Bad teams will still get steam rolled and it'll just be a matter of who has the most tank/heal combos otherwise.

    voidstar hack?

Mostly because this misnomer drives me insane when i see it; hacking and exploiting = the umbrella terms of cheating / cheats Exploiting does not equal hacking, though hacking involves exploiting. Hacking involves exploiting code vulnerabilities with a 3rd party program to create a response artificially that the current code would not create on its own. exploits are taking advantage of an existing flaw in the code or mechanics to achieve a desirable outcome, completely within the realm of what the game is creating on its own and without the use of a 3rd party tool/script/program. Wish people would use the terms "Hacking", "Exploiting", and "Bug" correctly in game before i scream ._. It's too much to ask though.
  3. This. It's a delicate balance that's needed between more dedicated hardcore players and casuals. Catering specifically to one or the other is a recipe for failure, and telling an entire group of players to go sit and twirl on it generally backfires.
  4. /mechanicvoice Well, seems to me like there's your problem righ' ther. Seems ya be expectin' immediate fixes from Bioware.
  5. If you're running solo in regs w/o a healer you're going to have a rough time. If you're running carnage and haven't tried it, try Fury spec out, which has a 5 second immunity to controls off force crush every 30 seconds. Side note; LOS kiting and fighting isn't cowardly, it's using terrain to your advantage, which you'll need when you're healerless as a mara. Worst thing you can do on pretty much any class is be super predictable, doubly so if you're not very self sufficient as a class, so yeah. If they know you're just gonna run right at them in open field with no support then you're gonna have a bad day.
  6. Total head scratcher, isn't it? >_>

    voidstar hack?

Hah, it was quite a head scratching moment. Only ever saw it once though, so it must of been one of those perfect storm bugs. Still left an impression. xD

    voidstar hack?

I do and always will; unless it's completely blatant there's nearly always something else it can be besides a 3rd party program. True hacking, while it undeniably exists, is still a very small percentage of the population. The blatant ones are easy to see and get pointed out, the clever ones are almost never going to be caught by actual players due to legitimate factors like client/server ping or what have you and you'll need to rely on them either slipping up or the game developer catching them with AC checks (A governor on Aion actually got the ban hammer when he slipped up and alt tabbed to a packet program on a live stream, was quite funny), and a good chunk of the people who get called out as hackers aren't. I don't subscribe to the "the world's out to get me, hacking is rampant" mindset that's waaay too common in online games these days; I call it when I see it, but I don't see too many here. x.x
  9. Same can be said about nearly every class on every game I've ever played. Just because a good chunk of people don't know how to open the toolbox doesnt mean it's not full of goodies for the ones that can, and sorc runs around with a Jobox. >.>
  10. This is something I can stand behind. Sorcs are just shy of Demigod status, why stop there?

    voidstar hack?

my favorite was a VS back near the start of the game. The guy went to plant right before death, we killed him about half way through his plant, and his dead body kept planting and armed it. We were all sitting there like "wut", even the guy who planted it was like "what the **** just happened?" lol.

    voidstar hack?

There's been some wonky bugs with the bombs i've seen since launch, so I usually give the benefit of the doubt with that stuff. Not saying there's not an exploit for it, but if we're going off the average player in this game I'd bet on a bug the players oblivious to before deliberate action. :/
  13. If bolster is going to stay, people of all skill levels are going to play with it to try and get the most out of their toon, skill doesn't really factor into it if you're looking for top performance within the system. Unless you think every op healer who played bolster to run a 2p PvE set for the last 2 1/2 years until the 3.3 6p changes were sub par exploiters. If BW wants bolster to play a factor at end game even in full dark reaver, theres no reason not to mix and match and try for better stats.
  14. Eh, just another PvE level raise w/o bolster being adjusted for it. We should be used to this by now. x.x
  15. I just try to keep a mental note on the order i've hotted people. That said, im terrible at managing it lol. problem with the buffs on the ops frame is you cant filter them. wish i could turn off all buffs but my own on that frame just to keep a running tab on it easier.
  16. Apparently it is, and considering this is probably one of the easiest MMOs to begin with that kinda scares the hell out of me.
  17. Well I can look at the bright side, this may be the kick I need to get into the gym for even more cardio.
  18. 1000? Pfft, try 10k. Gotta make money off god mode somehow.
  19. No, you're not. I'm still in denial over all this tbh, hoping it's just bioware trolling the dataminers with the new skills or releasing misinformation about stats or something. Half the changes border on mismanagement at the very least and willing stupidity at worst; why are we changing **** thats working when theres so many glaring issues that need attention left to the side? All i know is if this is really what 4.0 is bringing, I'm going to have a lot more free time for other stuff on my hands.
  20. Or in the hands of where the player lives in reference to the TOR servers since you'd have to factor latency.
  21. Focus fire is hard. x.x
  22. 2. 70 ish sounds about right for DR. It takes a sharp spike up around 74% though. 3. Eh, it start slowing down around 300 or so, don't have the specific number. 4. power does not have a diminishing return on its bonus damage, which is where the debate over mainstat vs power augs is rooted. The difference is down to the .xxx% between the two, generally I run main stat for the little bit of crit gain but if you're going 100% theory crafter level I hear it's more efficient to run power and get a small amount of crit rating to off set the minor bonus from the main stat. Not a super stat guy for this game but hope the $.02 was helpful.
  23. If you're running main stat augs, 25% crit would be around 250-300 crit rating.
