  1. I'm sorry for your loss, but the difference is that 4 million other hamsters did not die alongside yours, simultaneously driving their owners into a deep depression, leaving them unable to play for a week. Again, I'm still not arguing that I have a solid case here, only that your attempt to make light of the issue isn't really appreciated.
  2. I completely understand the no answers guys. I only wanted to know whether Bioware has ever extended (or would in this case extend) game time towards paying customers rendered unable to play for extended periods of time. I realize now that there is no precedent for this, and that I should expect nothing... which I already did.
  3. Charging the phone at work, various restaurants, the gym, etc.
  4. I know there's little hope of an encouraging answer, but many people in the Mid-East / Eastern part of the United States (myself included) are still without power after Friday's storm, and current estimates are that many won't get power back before the weekend. It's probably stated somewhere in SWTOR's terms of service that Bioware won't do this sort of thing, but I think it would be a show of good faith to credit any affected accounts (those with active subscriptions from Eastern areas that haven't logged in since Friday evening) with at least a few days of game time. I realize that this is a bit much to ask, however I and a great many other players would certainly appreciate it.
  5. Unless you're on Fatman, it's pretty much dead already.
  6. Giving us 30 days of free time was great, but BW needs to make the entire game free until mergers happen. Nobody is going to pay money to play on a server that is ENTIRELY empty, whether transfers are coming by "early summer" or not. This is the hard truth, but it is the truth.
  7. I'm going to have to adopt your use of Dirty Kick! Entertaining stuff man
  8. are you using flurry of bolts in your rotation? it's pretty much a necessity and you will find yourself strapped for energy if you don't.
  9. Also it costs energy, so it's just another factor we have to keep in mind when managing our energy levels. Without having to hit FR, energy management would be pretty easy.
  10. Yes, scoundrels own in 10-49, but you shouldn't comment until you've played in the 50s bracket with one. It's different. Edit: ^ beat me to it

I agree that it makes no sense, but in a gear based game, the reality is that BW wants you to be grinding post-50. Also, ^ buy the level 20 and 40 gear, medpacs, and the weapons with expertise mods (which you can swap out and put into orange gear) - they will at least make you own in the 10-49 bracket. Once you hit 50, buy the recruit gear and get one piece of Battlemaster.... honestly, that's pretty much all you can do. The rest is just time invested. aka time spent getting steamrolled by better geared players
  12. Ok guys, correct me if I'm wrong, but Centurion Enforcer armor never used to have surge rating, right? I mean, I just dinged 50 a few days ago and only managed to get a few pieces, but I could have sworn it had none. Now, after 1.2, there's a hefty amount - something on the order of 40+ for the chest, head, and boots (but not the pants). Of course, the new Recruit armor has better expertise bonuses than Centurion, so it'll give you some pvp bonuses... but right now I'm wearing a mix of Recruit and Centurion and actually feeling alright about it. I have higher surge than I used to (72.5%), predictably nerfed but still avg. crit (29.5%) and I'm running with 707 expertise (15% damage boost and 13% damage reduction). I'm reluctant to buy the full Recruit set and replace my current Centurion armor pieces, because while you do gain a lot of expertise if you replace the head, chest, pants, and boots, in every case you will either be sacrificing a lot of very valuable crit (29.5% is already low enough), or a lot of (possibly newfound??) surge. I don't know... can anyone else weigh in on this, or at least tell me if I'm underestimating how much the extra expertise from Recruit pieces will render the lost crit/surge from the Centurion pieces meaningless?

Reposted here in correct sub-forum, sorry about the mess.
  14. Yep, it's preventing my bracers from being seen too. Pretty ridiculous, seeing as how in many cases empty bracers and belts are the item people are searching for.
