  1. There's a whole subgenre of sitcoms about guys with girlfriends that are way hotter than them.
  2. The OP has a point. The men can look as ugly as possible, but for women, even the relatively unattractive ones still have to be pretty attractive. It's like how all the ugly women in movies are actually just super hot women with bad hair, makeup and glasses.
  3. If I knew I was going to have to type it in half the times I log in, I wouldn't have chosen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as my favorite movie. For real, is there a way to opt out of the security questions?
  4. Good luck beating me when I'm literally running circles around you on the battlefield, while you use your slow, imprecise keyboard to try to face me.
  5. If you think nerfs necessitate compensation, then you don't really understand what the purpose of a nerf is.
  6. See, this is an instance where logic would be useful to you. Nowhere did I say that you can IDENTIFY and SOLVE a problem using logic alone; I'm saying that you can use logic to ACKNOWLEDGE that there is a problem - ie: "OMG there is a big, red blotch on your face. Logic leads me to believe that it is not normal or conducive to your positive health. Better go see a qualified dermatologist." Or, to be more relevant to my point, "OMG, this game is performing at a much lower level than other similar games, and this poor performance occurs on many more machines than one would expect from professionally coded engine."
  7. Dude, it's called inference. You don't need programming knowledge if you have the ability to use logic.
  8. Interesting. Before 1.1, I had AA forced in the ini, and holos wouldn't show up if you had Coversation Depth of Field on, and now, post-patch, it's if you have bloom off?
  9. That's a very flawed way of looking at the stat. 12% faster is 12% faster; the number of extra casts it gives you is not really relevant. What matters is how the stat performs relative to other secondary ones. In other words, is 12% alacrity better than an equivalent amount of power or surge or whatever. We can't really accurately know that answer until we have the right tools, but what you can assume is that some classes benefit largely from it, while others benefit very little from it, just like in other MMOs.
  10. Simple as this: because you can find a group and do an entire dungeon/flashpoint without saying a single word. Not only CAN you, but many people DO. Hence, no communication, hence, no community. Not to mention, the people you do dungeons with you will most likely never see again. Back in the days before LFD in WoW, dungeons were the main tool for getting to know people and seeing their character (not avatar) firsthand.
  11. My GPU runs several degrees hotter in this game than it does in BF3 with constant 99% GPU usage.
  12. You realize there are integers between 3 and 30, right?
  13. My objectives are ninja'd daily. How I react depends what kind of mood I'm in. Sometimes I don't care at all, while other times I swear at my monitor. I've learned long before SWTOR not to whisper the offender because that only gives them extra satisfaction. By the way, what genius thought it would be a good idea to not allow you to activate a quest objective when you're in combat? Do they WANT the ninjas to prevail? Also, some people are greatly underestimating how long some quest objectives take to respawn. Some are about 10 seconds... some are about a minute... some are a couple of minutes... some quest NPCs seem like 5 minutes or more. I've had a guy camp outside of my group's [Heroic 4] quest, and after, like, 3 waves of elites, the last boss came out, and the outsider tagged it. He did this twice, for fun. My group sucked anyways, so I just left and did it later with another group.
  14. Really, the only time I care about having dual-spec is while leveling. I'd like to be able to heal group quests or the occasional flashpoint, but I don't want to be gimped by, say, 50% for solo stuff when I'll only be healing, say, 10% of the time.
  15. You can go to the crew skill trainer and remove all the filters, open the dressing window, and see that all the gear up to 400 looks pretty weak.
  16. I thought the MMO community was past this whole "adults play evil, gritty faction, and kids play the good, 'pretty' faction"? There's nothing to suggest that either side is more mature than the other, and anecdotal evidence is generally worthless as there are thousands of interactions at any given moment that you aren't a witness to. Besides, as it has been mentioned, most people play both factions at one point or another; if not, then you're missing out on a lot.
  17. That's because the camera is divided into six different distances based on your maximum camera distance (for whatever reason). In other words, one scroll of the mouse wheel will zoom in one-sixth of your maximum camera distance, so, unfortunately, if you want to zoom in close to your character, you have to reduce the maximum camera distance by a ridiculous amount.
  18. /signed The #1 reason I've gone back to WoW from any other MMO I've played is because it is BY FAR the most fluid and responsive MMO out there; you're a fool if you feel otherwise. Nothing in a game is more important to me than those two factors, not only because I try to be one of the best, but because it's just not enjoyable if it doesn't feel good. That said, I do think TOR has the most responsive combat behind WoW (and maybe Rift), but WoW still remains far ahead, and I think it's untouchable at this point, as it's had so many years of development. Despite this, I still really enjoy this game, and I do not plan on quitting any time soon as it offers much more than any of those other fantasy MMOs that I returned to WoW from.
