  1. Should I not post my experiences on these forums unless they are positive? I'm sure you have no problem with a thread praising the game. I'm not having very much fun in the game right now but I really want to be, I don't want to run off and play Tera or Guild Wars 2, I want to play a great Star Wars MMO. I just don't know if this is ever going to be that MMO. But I know if I leave now I may never come back, so I'm forcing myself to wait for 1.2, even though I have no idea when it is going to release. I think they said march somewhere? that could mean another month of waiting for a patch that I've been waiting for since 1.1. I just hope that 1.2 will keep me playing this game long enough for them to make it into a game that I can love. Though from the little information that they have been giving out, it looks like they are just following in the exact footsteps of World of Warcraft and I don't just want to play a Star Wars version of WoW that is years behind (I don't want to play WoW at all, I hate that everything is queue based and doesn't feel like an MMO at all, so don't *********** tell me to go back to WoW...)
  2. I was saying that my friends think that 1.2 is going to fix everything, which it won't, I realize that. I hope that it will keep me interested in the game long enough for them to fix the majority of my issues. What is SWTOR? I mean the only unique and worthwhile portion of the game is the levelling and dialogue but that isn't what I spend the majority of my time doing. I levelled a character when the game came out, I watched every cutscene and completed every quest, I enjoyed doing it. Though, I can't help but wonder how much better the story would have been if this game was KOTOR 3 instead of SWTOR. Especially after playing Mass Effect in preparation for the third.
  3. I don't want it to be like WoW...I never said I want it to be like WoW but it already is like WoW and the stuff they already outlined seems to be going further in the same direction as WoW. If I wanted WoW, I would play WoW, but I don't... You even mention the game and everyone on these forums assumes you are the biggest fanboy ever. One of my problems with the game is that it is heading in the exact same direction as WoW and you assume I am a WoW fanboy? really?
  4. The only thing that I said I "hated" was how my character looks, which I do and many other people do. They are trying to remedy that but they also need to make all the gear not look low-resolution and washed out. If you think the game is so amazing in its current state then why don't you argue the points that I made instead of skimming through the post and picking out all the negative words I used? Or tell me where you think they are taking this game so maybe I could feel better about sticking with it. I really do love Star Wars and a great Star Wars MMO sounds like an amazing game to me that I could be playing for years but this game isn't there yet and the only direction I see it going is trying to emulate WoW.
  5. Why don't you actually read the post and not just the thread title. This isn't a quitting thread either, I'm still playing the game. I genuinely want this game to improve and become the game I wish it was. Instead of just passing this off as a troll thread, could you at least try and argue my points?
  6. I'm getting extremely tired with this game, all my friends are waiting on this mythical 1.2 patch to fix everything but I just don't see it happening. They are all waiting for Ranked Warzones and gear customization but Bioware has been so unclear about "Ranked Warzones" that I don't even know if they are going to be anything like Rated Battlegrounds in WoW, sometimes it just sounds like it is going to be this arbitrary ranking you get for just queueing random warzones... While gear customization sounds nice because I HATE the way my character's gear looks but are the alternatives really that good? I mean every armor set in the game looks terribly low resolution and washed out. Then even the gear that I would like to wear like the Sand People armor doesn't even look like the iconic sand people garb that I know and love, I mean there is a giant tank in-front of the iconic mouth piece and there are these shoulder pads that I've never seen on a Sand Person. It just doesn't look right to me. The only way I see this game going is following directly in the path of World of Warcraft and why would I want to play a game, that doesn't even feel like Star Wars, that is just 3 years behind? The only things I have seen them layout for the future is stuff that WoW already has and has had for several years. I know that Star Wars has the dialogue and story aspect but while that aspect is the best part about this game, it isn't even that good. The choices you make hardly make any difference whatsoever and once you hit 50 no one gives a ****. I know it would have been a huge undertaking to make the stories more meaningful and the dialogue more meaningful but when you compare it to a singleplayer BioWare game it just doesn't even close to measuring up and I can't help but wonder how much more epic the story would have been if it was Kotor 3 instead of Swtor. I just don't see a good future for this game, it just seems that it is following in the footsteps of WoW and poorly at that. If it felt more like Star Wars maybe I would be more accepting of that because I am a huge Star Wars fan but it even fails at that, at least to me it does.
  7. I watched every single cutscene from 1-50 and hit 50 in 6 days...when the game launched.
  8. I'd rather wait in longer queues if they just removed same faction huttball... I don't want to play against the same faction.
  9. My stats are currently (unbuffed): 1275 willpower 28.06% crit chance 76.36% crit multiplier 312.5 bonus damage 542.7 force bonus damage 652 expertise Is there anything I should try and change? This is with shield generator.
  10. How come you never double strike? Do you even spec into particle acceleration?
  11. This game is killing me... I'm getting extremely tired with this game, all my friends are waiting on this mythical 1.2 patch to fix everything but I just don't see it happening. 12. keybinds are personal preference.
  13. I don't care how rich I am, I'm sitting on a lot of gold because I have nothing to spend it on and I don't understand why people are buying ship parts and earpieces when they are easily obtained through free methods and better methods. I want to spend money but there is nothing to spend it on. I have full Battlemaster Gear and I have everything I need from Biochem what am I supposed to spend money on? and none of that cost me money, aside from the cost of sending companions on missions.
  14. They are sitting there buying ship parts because they have nothing else to spend their money on so they are buying useless parts to make an already easy mini game even easier. Maybe the reason people are buying it for 3k a piece is because 3k a piece is meaningless when everyone is running around with millions of credits?
  15. You mean re-skins of ones I already have? What exactly are you making with level 5 underworld metal promethium that is so crucial? level 45 mods? who cares? the reason that material isn't on the GTN is because no one wants it and no one cares about it.
  16. They need to make it mean something... Making money in this game is ridiculously easy and there is absolutely nothing worthwhile to buy. You can get all the crafting mats you need from missions and you can make all the money you ever need from missions. The only thing that I have seen that is worthwhile to purchase are enhancements and mods from hardmode raids but that's only useful if you don't actually raid.
  17. Yeah I remember regular 5 man instances keeping people entertained right up until the end of vanilla WoW. It also helped that money actually meant something and you had stuff to buy. I remember having to grind money for my 100% speed mount, while it seems tedious by today's standards I always remember getting it and it had such a great sense of accomplishment.
  18. I loved WoW but I hate how they turned it into a game where all you do is sit in the main city and queue, why do you even need an MMO game world to do that? It also kills server communities because you never play with the same people and if you do you just stick to your guild. To me that isn't what an MMO should be, you should be immersed in a gameworld of Star Wars with other players.
  19. I just want to know if they are going to encourage a server community and encourage people to leave the fleet and go out into the world, instead of just sit in the fleet all day like everyone currently does...or go to Ilum which is extremely bland and not fun at all.
  20. To the people saying that people are already just sitting on the fleet all day: I know, I'm wondering if they are going to try and steer away from that. I think the fleet is a terrible hub in general either way, maybe make the hub on a contested planet or something? How does the LFG tool make it more of an MMO? You don't even need to be in a game world to use the LFG tool, they should just turn WoWs hub into the Starcraft 2 queue screen with chat rooms and an auction house. What is the point of the game world in WoW at this point? other than to fly to raids sometimes? and maybe do some dailies that hardly anyone does anymore? Besides the LFG tool doesn't even build a server community, you group with 4 random people that you will never see again all in the name of what? a faster queue? half the time they just get what they need and leave.
  21. In what direction do you feel this game is going? Is it going in the direction of WoW where everything is going to be queue based and all we are going to do is sit on the fleet and queue for things? Or is it actually going to become an MMO?
