You are assuming that was not intended, I don’t assume such I had a slimmer friend cross, and then we dueled and found that there are several abilities that will get one through that narrow crack. Grapple works Force leap works etc etc etc That was kind of fun figuring that out

Datacron hunting is optional, not in any way required to advance Some of us have a lot of fun hunting down the datacrons, please don’t take away what we like

Yeah cause if you put it in the suggestion box then Bioware people will read it, here you can complain publically and you have reduced the chance that a Bioware employee will read it by several orders of magnitude FYI I sell stuff on the GTN daily and quite profitably Remember that the value of anything is determined by one thing only, by the person that buys it. Things you see sitting on the auction house, are set at the price they are NOT selling for, else it would be sold already.

Has this game turned you "off" to MMOs in general?
Dayln replied to Kentontudor's topic in General Discussion
If you cant see the difference between WOW and a modern first class MMO, you need to have yourself checked. I know there are some WOW fanboys out there but gezzzzzz I can think of 5 at least that have evolved WAY beyond WOW without even thinking about it. Wow was a good game in its day, not running it down, but it didn’t originate anything, it built on the MMO’s that preceded it, just as other MMO’s have built on the games that preceded them. -
I refuse to kill NPC's and I am not able to complete some quests, Bioware needs to remove all the NPC's from the game so I can play the way i want too.
-
pssst, dont tell the keyboard vs clicker people that, they insist you must play thier way
-
They are free to slap the space bar and wait if they prefer, does not bother me any. That is thier choice.

If Bioware has learned anything at all from this community, they will not say a single word about it until 2 days before it launches. That is what the community had demanded, schedule over anything else, so, don’t say a word until the delivery date is cast in stone ( which is about 2 days before the fact )

The end of the arguement. Is SWTOR in decline? Can it be saved?

You hit the nail exactly on the head -

Including time you spend on the internet? Why are you on the boards of a game you dont play anymore? -

Other MMO's, even good ones like LOTRO and Rift were starting to turn me off to MMO's, I had long ago given up on particularly poor ones like WOW This one has turned me back on to MMO's It it was not for SWTOR I probably would not be subscribed to any MMO right now. -
Never The way the stories and quests are presented is one of the best things aobut this MMO

The end of the arguement. Is SWTOR in decline? Can it be saved?
Dayln replied to Sheff's topic in General Discussion
I agree I have been saying for years that what people post here is NOT the common opinion of players, but a tiny and non-random subset of them. That is why polls on forums like these are meaningless, it isn’t random players, not any kind of random sampling, and certainly not even a tiny fraction of actual players. The interesting part to me is their desire to try and get other people to quit. That narrows down the motives quite a bit, and none of those motives are good ones. -
The end of the arguement. Is SWTOR in decline? Can it be saved?
Dayln replied to Sheff's topic in General Discussion
No I have been angry at an MMO I have paid for, I canceled my subscription and went on to other things. I didn’t announce to the world that I am quitting ( I am not delusional to think that others give 2 cents what I do ) I certainly didn’t post on their boards trying to entice others or even advise others to quit, ( what in the world would be my personal incentive to do that, it is insane ) And I didn’t waste a moment of my time posting on the boards of a game I was not currently playing Oh no... there are other factors involved here They either have an interest in trying to get others to quit Or they have a psychological complex thinking they can bend others, either players or a software company to their will. I personally could care less about the opinions of either of those categories. -

Dayln replied to Sheff's topic in General Discussion
ROFLMAO I keep asking who is paying them to advise others to leave the game, I am starting to have my own suspicions.. If I were going to leave SWTOR, I would have no desire or incentive to try and get others to do the same. So… it begs the question, is there is interest that is driving them? -

I enjoyed LOTRO for over 3 and a half years, a record for me with an MMO. They did a very nice job, certainly better than any other MMO on the market as no other could hold my attention that long. I didn’t feel the need to bash it on my way out, they did a great job and I loved my years playing that MMO. SWTOR... well we will see, right now I am enjoying this game very much, we will see if it can break LOTRO's record for holding my attention. -

Dayln replied to Sheff's topic in General Discussion
And who is it exactly that is asking you to tell others to evacuate Why is it that if you decide to leave ( which you keep saying, but you don’t actually do, you just keep posting on the boards of a game you seem to hate ) why do you need to have others leave as well? We are having fun, and will enjoy staying thank you very much Sorry to break it to you, but you aren’t any kind of leader with lemmings following you out the door You want to go out the door? Fine... go Do us a favor, leave these forums for those that are still playing and enjoying this game. -

There are so many MMO newbies in this thread it is difficult to comment. No MMO is ever finished, if an MMO is finished, then it will die. This MMO is not dying, and does not need saving A successful MMO does not mean that other MMO's fail I could go on and on, there are just too many things to teach the MMO newbies here to count -
I do tend to favor a single companion, particularly for the tougher content However I am starting to spread around as I want to unlock all of my companions in legacy Bioware has given a nice incentive to do so, and I am enjoying outfitting and using all of them now.

How angry would you be if server transfer cost you?
Dayln replied to DarthNiktu's topic in General Discussion
I would not be angry at all, it is fairly standard to have a price on transfers in MMO's -
What we want is easy to explain ( but difficult to implement ) We want a star wars feel to space combat We want people manning turrets while someone else is flying the ship in space combat, you know, like star wars We want things that go wrong with the ship, and people fixing the problems using thier skills while the combat is taking place, you know, like star wars We want capitol ships, with guns that can be manned by players We realize we are asking for the moon here, but what the heck Can we have the moon please? ( wait, that is no moon )

to the OP something was done about it, we created PVP servers where griefers could gather, and not bother the rest of us

When do we get the free day due to 1.2a snafu?
Dayln replied to Gazzaho's topic in General Discussion
Of course the money isn’t the point, the point is the ability to complain with incomplete information, or misunderstanding of information given, or worse, assumptions based on not carefully reading information. That is what these forums are for!
