  1. A few months? No. Not a chance. It will take a year to get things straitened out and running smoothly at the least which is when I'll be back. I hope they are successful but for right now the game is on the bad side.
  2. What do you mean, what type of game? You mean bad? I'm pretty sure they didn't announce that in a Friday update lol.
  3. Because I want the game to be successful and after years of playing MMO's I've learned that to fix what is broken there must be yelling and it must be loud and frequent. I don't care if they care or not. And it's not over Ilum. No. No.
  4. I don't know where to start with this. Why must you start with the Consular being singled out bit? Do you really believe that? It sounds more like the braying of a drama lama. Qyzon's favorite gift are weapons. (sauce: http://www.darthhater.com/articles/feature/19836-guide-companion-gifts) Some companions actually don't have a favorite gift. Fess isn't one of them.
  5. Just curious, are you 50? What skills did you use that you found useful while leveling and are all 3 400 now?
  6. I have a 400 armstech on my 50 smuggler. Leveling up, the barrels were useful but that was it. I've made small number of items that my companions used but it hasn't been many. I wouldn't recommend it. My second toon is a Jedi and I went with three gathering skills. Slicing which is still profitable just collecting boxes out in the world. I would have no where near as poor as the first time if I had taken this before. And then scavenging and bioanalysis. I figure when I decide which way to go I can sell the other materials to fund leveling up the appropriate mission skill. Looking back, for a first toon, going 3 gathering and leveling the craft skill after 50 would have been far better than what I did leveling a crafter concurrently.
  7. Annnnnd.... Nothing has changed. Biochem is still the go to craft skill for raiding because it is the only one that actually helps.
  8. No speeders, no subscription. Game already has enough pointless travel time sinks. And while you're at it BW, add a hut ball like spring board thing to the mezzanine so I can jump over the cantina without having to drive around thank-you-very-much!
  9. That is a might powerful draw you have on that pipe sir. TOR plays nothing like EQ2 does. Actually it would be an improvement if TOR was crafted as well as EQ2 was at launch.
  10. LOL Sith would be far to obvious. You'd be amazed at how well the line "Trust me, I'm a Jedi" works.
  11. Where exactly is this mutant child thing again? I need to go have a look, provided that there aren't more than a dozen meaningless empty zones that have to be traversed to get there that is.
  12. Ran into a female NPC on Tat yesterday. Probably 80 years old with the bosom of a 20 year old **** star whose daddy happened to be a plastic surgeon. Very strange.
  13. Are you using green upgrades from the vendor or blues from the auction house? Whenever I had a problem with finishing missions it was a simple case of not having the best available upgrades.
  14. On good graphics? Probably not. The video card is the weak spot. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=GeForce+GT+530
  15. Only if I could shoot the gungans with a giant shoulder mounted cannon that fired explosive ewoks. I'd be ok with that.
  16. Don't be. Hit 50 last night and there wasn't a big difference in scaling of difficulty between 30 and 50 imo. Just keep your gear up to date and when you get new abilities look for the situations where they would work best and work them in and you'll be fine.
  17. It will run it but not with lots of eye candy would be my guess. The video card is towards the low end of the spectrum. Win7 7 64 recommends 2 gig of ram and swtor recommends 1 gig so right there you are using all of your ram. I'd say upgrade to 8 gig of ram and spend another hundred on the video card and that would make for a much more capable machine.
  18. My sympathies Sickus. Constipated windows installs never end well. If it were my machine I would be thinking about using Hiren's boot cd to get in and wipe the drive and start fresh. http://www.hiren.info/
  19. Let me guess, If I say I am low level then I just haven't seen the larger higher level worlds and if I say I'm level 50 already then I rushed ahead of the pack and that's why the game doesn't feel like an MMO? Is it at all possible that I've experienced what you have and just disagree? What I haven't seen is the large scale shared experiences that build community that i expect to see in an MMO. Like I haven't seen chat light up that guild xyz is forming up to take down some low level world boss for the first time. In a normal MMO I would head over there and with lots of other people sit back and watch the attempt while providing the required peanut gallery comments. But I can't do that here because the chat is very segregated and worlds instance with very low populations. Instead what I get is 4 man heroics which I will point out is no different that what Left 4 Dead does. The game is crafted to deliver the BioWare story to an individual which it does wonderfully. My hope for the game was that the famous BW story telling would be melded with an MMO to create some epic multi player shared story driven experience but it doesn't do that. It is very much a collection of single player games that occasionally intersect which is not very MMOish and it seems like a lot of people agree with that.
  20. Lol, nope, not sarcasm. Yes, I do remember them. Now that I think about it, I'd say that Battlefield 1942 was a better MMO than TOR as it sits today and that wasn't even an MMO obviously. Having said that I've still only seen a small part of the game and as time goes on I may change my view. Until TOR gets past it's startup chaos and gets into a rhythm like all MMO's do it's going to be hard to figure just how the game will play out. But until then it sure looks like a shared single player game.
  21. Whether or not it is a real MMO is debatable right now. Full fledged? Absolutely not. It is a very good single player game, as an MMO it lacking. And yes I did do SWG until the NGE. Never played WoW. If you want to compare I'll say LotR, Eve and EQ2 all had the MMO aspect at launch done much better.
  22. It's an MMO in the same way that Left 4 Dead is an MMO, which is not really. I'd describe it more as a shared single player game. Hopefully the game evolves beyond that but I think it might take a few years to get there.
  23. Well put Andrea. The body types have been bugging me since launch but I couldn't explain why and now you've explained it perfectly. For me the body types sit too far down in uncanny valley not to notice.
  24. Tested this out a few days ago and never got a giggle procing upperhand. As soon as I put a point into the slow release med pack talent the giggles started. Strange. Makes me think it's a bug. What I really find annoying is having slow release med pack pop off for no reason when in stealth. Sometimes it will trigger two or three times in a row and I won't even have hands on keyboard or mouse.
