  1. The boost percentages from expertise should have been left alone, and allowed to increase with new pvp gear tiers. Bolster needed to be reworked. I'll give it a month, then I'll be leaving. I really like this game and want to see it do well, but lack of actual testing is making the devs pull a Barney Fife too often.
  2. Redownload your game client. It may have been corrupted. I only see a fixlauncher.exe. Unless someone else knows of a client repair tool, downloading the client again might be the best bet.
  3. The blue augment upgrades to purps are miniscule. If you are focusing on purps, you are killing yourself for a minor increase in stats. A wise man once said "Stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself!"
  4. Since every class has the ability to be human, the human unlock needed something to be relevant.
  5. Indeed. They got carried away with the transfers. Just renewed my sub to be put in a que of 890+@60minutes.
  6. If you are not paying attention, you have already lost this as a guard. Most of the time, the stealthers get too close and I spot them. The instant this happens, I get into combat asap. This does 2 things...You screw them out of their restealth, and you get a second to call the inc before they can start the cap. It also helps that I am a stealthy too.
  7. You would know that statement is false if you have ever watched a BR movie on a 120hz screen.
  8. Attack/defend pvp is the epitome of not fun. The more fluid ctf and resource control games are much more enjoyable by far. If there were an Alterac Valley type of WZ (which would require cross server ques), I would probably stick around past the free month recently handed out.

  10. It isn't the player's job to come up with the ideas. That's what BW gets paid to do. There are MANY other mmos out there to draw inspiration from, and BW has missed the mark many times over. IMHO, some developer needs to break the current mmo mold. The model that is now the "standard" is long of tooth and dying slowly.
  11. In most cases, the republic is grossly outnumbered. Having a smaller player base usually means most players know each other. This in turn makes it easier for them to work together. On the flip side, empire has a huge player pool, so random tactics and little to no familiarity make for some rough matches.
  12. When the game released, they kept a lower cap to prevent overloading servers and spreading players out. They lifted this cap a while back and the servers LOOK like they're draining.
  13. The problem is, they traded 3 to 1 to get merc comms. In order to trade back, they have to trade down again. The tradein treadmill is what they don't like, even though with the new volume of comms output will make that process null and void. Some people are hoarders, some are smart and spend them when they can.
  14. Until they make cross server pools to pull players from (in non rated WZs), you will just have to either bring your friends, or que at off peak hours. The player pools on your server are apparently too low to match you with different groups.
  15. Sent/Mara can spec for AoE. Sent/Mara single target damage is average. Add in a healer and guard you get a killing machine. Sorcs can have the same benefit with the teamwork element. You should research a class before you spout off this nonsense.
  16. I would love to know the consequences of this. The "community" doesn't police itself. Players who act this way do it regardless. Anything the "community" can do will make no difference to the players who act this way. They'd just hop on an alt and you would never know who they are. The thing that will make this behavior commonplace is the deserter/leaver debuff in the works. If you penalize leaving a match, they will sabotage, troll, and near-afk just for kicks. Crossrealm PvP did not hurt WoW one bit. It saved pvp from dying a slow death. Same will go for SWTOR. The less skilled players will tire of getting rolled and quit. The top tier players will find another game due to boredom. When you cocoon players on a server, the pool stagnates, and dries up.
  17. 1. Free is not part of an EA buisness model. 2. Server merges are a red flag to investors. It gives the impression that the game is tanking. To OP, Rolling alts (even on other servers) is something that will make you invest more time, thus paying a sub longer. Unless there is a mass exodus, I wouldn't see free xfers and merges happening. I would love to see this happen, but it's not likely. This issue is being addressed with cross server WZ ques and LFG tool in future patches. So it's not all lost. The only thing that this will not help is the economy on low pop servers.
